One Piece: Red Sword - Chapter 2
Let’s go back a little in time.
While Luo Ze was still sleeping on her small boat, a piece of information reached the Marine branch in Logue Town.
The moment it arrived, the Marine officer who received it was shocked.
He quickly dropped his other work and rushed to the office.
Art was the highest-ranking officer of the Logue Town Marine base.
His rank was colonel, but his strength wasn’t very high.
He could only act powerful in this part of the West Blue.
If he went into the Grand Line, he probably wouldn’t survive long.
Since this information was important, the Marine naturally went to report it to the highest officer in the base.
He walked to Art’s office and gently knocked on the wooden door, producing a crisp sound.
“Come in,” came Art’s sharp voice from inside.
The Marine opened the door with one hand and quickly stepped in.
Art was a slightly fat man.
Right now, his face was red as he sat in a chair.
On his lap sat a seductive woman with long golden hair.
When Art saw the Marine enter, he didn’t seem bothered at all.
He casually glanced at him and asked, “What is it? Why are you in such a hurry?”
The Marine’s eyes paused for a second on the blonde woman.
A trace of greed appeared deep in his eyes, but he quickly snapped back to attention and began reporting seriously.
Art’s face quickly turned dark.
“What did you say? Luo Ze killed ten pirates, each worth ten millions in bounty, and she’s coming to our base to claim the reward?”
He let out a cold snort. His tone was unfriendly.
These pirates were truly useless—defeated by one pirate hunter!
Ten pirates worth tens of millions each? That reward would total several hundred million!
Where was he, the head of a small Marine branch, supposed to find that much money?
“You can go now.”
Having heard the report, Art lost interest in anything else.
He pushed the woman off his lap and zipped up his pants, ordering her to leave.
The woman glanced at Colonel Art with a mix of sadness and reluctance.
She stood up slowly and walked out, but not without winking at the Marine as she left.
“Colonel, what should we do now?”
The Marine, still staring at the woman’s figure greedily, turned back and asked once she was gone.
“What should we do? How would I know what to do?” Art snapped.
“You’re all useless! I tell you to train harder, catch more pirates, don’t let other branches laugh at us—but what do you do?
Nothing! Now a pirate hunter killed them all, and our Logue Town branch looks like a joke!”
Art was furious. He glared coldly at the Marine and cursed loudly.
The Marine stood quietly in place, saying nothing.
He had worked under Art for many years and knew his temper well.
At a time like this, it was best to just stay silent and get scolded.
“Hmph! Gather some strong Marines from the base. Take a warship and patrol near Logue Town.
The moment you see that pirate hunter—fire cannons! Kill her! Don’t give her any chance.”
Art ordered coldly.
“Money from the Marines isn’t that easy to take.
She dared to embarrass me—now she must pay.”
Art sneered, then added,
“And when you kill her, bring back the heads of the pirates she killed. That’ll count as a big achievement.”
“Yes, Colonel Art.”
The Marine gave a proper salute and left.
“Hmph… Luo Ze, was it?
What a lucky little money-giver. I was just worrying I didn’t have any achievements to report…”
Art laughed coldly to himself.

Meanwhile, outside Logue Town, Luo Ze’s small boat was rocking left and right on the sea.
The engine had already broken down. The boat couldn’t move anymore.
The Marine warship was still firing at her.
Even though Luo Ze could barely hold her ground, who knew how many cannonballs they had?
If this continued, she’d be blown to pieces sooner or later.
“Damn Marines. I’ll make you pay sooner or later.”
Luo Ze was angry.
Her boat had cost her 30 million Berries, and now it was destroyed by the Marines.
It felt like her heart was bleeding.
“They must compensate me.”
Luo Ze snorted coldly.
She grabbed the large sack of pirate heads, tied it tightly to her back, and leaped into the air.
“Moonwalk!”
She let out a breath.
Luckily, she had already learned the Moonwalk technique.
If not, she might have drowned today.
“Sergeant Plian! Luo Ze is flying! What do we do?”
The Marines on the warship watched in shock as Luo Ze stepped into the air.
They looked like they had seen a ghost and shouted at Sergeant Plian.
These Marines were just small-time officers in South Blue.
Most of them had never left the region and had very little knowledge.
They had never seen the Marine Six Styles.
“Moonwalk? That damned pirate hunter… How does she know the Six Styles?!”
Sergeant Plian had received formal Marine training, so he recognized the technique right away.
His face turned very grim.
The Six Styles were special Marine techniques.
Even someone at his level might never have access to them in a lifetime,
and yet, this pirate hunter already knew one?
“Damn it! Fire! Fire! Kill her!”
Plian was furious and embarrassed.
He pushed a Marine aside and personally fired one of the cannons at Luo Ze.
“Hmph. Useless trick.”
Luo Ze scoffed.
She moved through the air like a swallow, dodging many cannonballs with ease.
For the few she couldn’t avoid, she sliced them clean in half with her sword.
Step. Step.
Very quickly, Luo Ze landed on the Marine warship.
She was carrying a large white sack on her back and stared coldly at the group of Marines.
Right now, Luo Ze was furious.
She had been attacked for no reason and almost died at sea.
She was so angry she could kill someone.
The Marines instinctively stepped back.
Just one look from her made them feel like a wild beast was watching them.
Cold sweat rolled down their backs.
They all knew Luo Ze’s name.
She was infamous for her killing.
Everyone she killed died in horrifying ways, their bodies usually torn apart and unrecognizable.
“Give me an explanation.”
Luo Ze stood still, staring coldly at the Marines like a lion ready to strike.
The fear in the air was intense.
“Kill her! Kill her now!”
Plian’s eyes were icy.
He pulled out his sword and led the Marines to attack Luo Ze.
“Hmph. You’re asking for it.”
Luo Ze snorted.
She stomped on the deck—and disappeared in an instant.
When she appeared again, she was right behind Plian.
Her sword was at his neck.
“I’ll say it one more time.
Give me an explanation.”
