Please, I Really Didn't Know My Junior Sister Was a Yandere - Chapter 1
Chapter 1: The Ultimate Trouble-Making System:
-In the middle of the Empire.
-At the Great Sword Sect’s mountain peak.
At this moment, a young man in white robes stood at the edge of a cliff, gazing into the distance.
Though he stood there motionless, his back alone gave off a deep sense of loneliness.
It had been four days since Su Ran transmigrated into this cultivation world, and he had already come to terms with his new reality.
He couldn’t help but recall how it all started—his last novel flopped, leaving him frustrated. He drank a bit too much, and before he knew it, he had been transmigrated into this mystical realm.
“This has got to be the most ridiculous way to transmigrate. At least give me the classic truck accident! That would make more sense. But getting drunk and waking up in another world? What kind of stupid author came up with this?”
Su Ran had lost count of how many times he had complained about the absurdity of his transmigration. Even as someone who wrote novels with a wild imagination, he never could have come up with such a far-fetched scenario.
After four days, Su Ran accepted the fact that he had indeed transmigrated into a cultivation world—a world filled with gods, immortals, demons, monsters, and ghosts.
As for Su Ran’s new identity, he was now the senior disciple of the first peak of the Great Sword Sect, the most powerful sword sect in the entire world.
When Su Ran first learned of his identity, he almost burst out laughing.
Despite the ridiculous way he had arrived here, his starting point seemed pretty good. It looked like things might actually go well for him.
Moreover, Su Ran himself was exceptionally handsome, with outstanding talent in cultivation. The elders of the sect held high hopes for him. He was even hailed by other sects, noble families, and imperial empires as a peerless prodigy.
Su Ran wasn’t without background, either. His deceased parents were highly respected—a Confucian gentleman and a direct disciple of the Great Sword Sect’s founding ancestor. Although they had passed away, they left behind many influential friends, especially his master, who had adored Su Ran’s mother. After her passing, that affection transferred to Su Ran, her grand-disciple.
When Su Ran learned this, he thought to himself, “Well, great. I guess I’ve just become another protagonist with a tragic backstory.”
Just when Su Ran was convinced he had received the protagonist’s script, he discovered that due to a mishap in his cultivation, he had lost all his powers and was now an ordinary mortal.
He vividly remembered the tearful face of his master as he explained this.
But Su Ran wasn’t bothered. In fact, he almost wanted to laugh.
“Oh, so it’s the classic ‘trash-to-glory’ concept? I know this one like the back of my hand.”
With confidence, Su Ran reassured his master, even quoting a famous line from his previous life: “Thirty years of prosperity, thirty years of decline—never underestimate the poor youth!”
Just as Su Ran was preparing to embark on his protagonist-like journey of defying fate, the system arrived.
Su Ran smiled, showing his respect. As expected, a transmigrator’s essential cheat—a system!
Without even looking at the system, Su Ran felt even more confident. With his background and a system, rising to the top would be a breeze. Indeed, the transmigrator was always the chosen one, and he was no exception.
Excitedly, Su Ran grasped his master’s hand and confidently said, “Master, don’t worry. Trust me; I will rise again and achieve greatness!”
He vividly recalled how his master was so moved that he could barely speak, repeatedly saying, “Good, good, you truly are my excellent disciple! Not only has your Dao heart remained intact, but it has also grown even stronger!”
At this point, Su Ran felt something was off, his lips twitching, and thought inwardly, “Master, please don’t say things like that. The last time someone said that, their son got beaten up by the protagonist. I’m the protagonist here, so let’s avoid those villain lines, okay?”
As Su Ran was about to begin his path of defying the odds, the system issued its first mission.
It happened when his dear grandmaster, who was worried about him, came to visit. Su Ran could clearly see the concern in his master’s eyes—there was no doubt this was genuine affection.
Grandmaster asked, “Ran’er, how is your health now?”
[Ding!!! Beginner Mission!]
[The grandmaster is concerned about your health. As a polite grand-disciple, how should you respond?]
[Option 1: Thank you for your concern, Master. I am feeling much better now. Reward: Instant fainting for three days]
[Option 2: Old man, you sure talk a lot! Reward: A healing pill that will instantly cure all injuries]
Heh.
Su Ran sneered, “You think this is a choice? Of course, I’ll choose option one. Choosing option two would be like an old man hanging himself—just asking for death!
This is my dear grandmaster, my solid backing! How could I possibly choose option two? Ridiculous!
And you think you can scare me, Su Ran? I, Su Ran, would fear a mere system? You must be dreaming!”
So, Su Ran chose option one.
Respectfully, Su Ran replied, “Thank you for your concern, Grandmaster. I am feeling much better now.”
And then, Su Ran promptly fainted. “Damn it! Stupid system, are you for real? I’m your host, remember?”
In his final moment of consciousness, Su Ran finally saw the system’s name: [The Ultimate Trouble-Making System]
Below that was a description of the system:
[You don’t need exceptional talent, hard training, or cultivation resources. As the host, all you need to do is always act against the norm, constantly stir up trouble, and you will effortlessly grow stronger and rise to the pinnacle of the world!]
When Su Ran woke up, three days had passed.
During that time, no matter what his master or grandmaster tried, they couldn’t wake him. If not for the fact that Su Ran was still breathing, they might have thought he was dead.
Su Ran gazed up at the sky, sighing deeply.
“Other people’s systems are always so powerful. Why, when it comes to me, do I get such an unreliable system that forces me to cause trouble? Can’t I just cultivate peacefully?”
Su Ran felt like he might have been given the wrong script. This wasn’t the typical ‘trash-to-glory’ story; it was more like the villain’s script.
In most novels, characters like him who caused trouble never made it past chapter three before being crushed by the protagonist.
Su Ran thought he might have been seriously duped.
