- Chapter 19 - Imperial Capital Star (Plot Chapter)
The two first met on April 9, Imperial Calendar Year 331.
By the time they stepped out of the magic house again, it was May 1.
(Beilan Galaxy dates align with real-world systems.)
Excluding their initial passionate encounter and the subsequent days of unconscious rest (which lasted over ten days), the duration of this lovemaking session left even a succubus like Meijiu feeling fully sated.
Though Meijiu didn’t quite understand why Xu Yunjing never knotted during their final moments, overall, she was quite satisfied with the experience.
Xu Yunjing was still concerned about her pheromone disorder, fearing that a full marking and knotted release might lead to pregnancy and affect a child—though this worry was unfounded, as Meijiu could only conceive with the aid of her clan’s fertility fruit.
Meijiu now had to head to the Imperial Capital Star to handle the matter she had promised Meijiu.
She wondered where Xu Yunjing was headed and asked as much.
Xu Yunjing replied, “I need to return to the Imperial Capital Hospital for a full physical checkup. My pheromone disorder seems to have improved, but I’m not sure if my perception is accurate. I need to go back for a thorough examination.”
“The Imperial Capital Star? What a coincidence, I’m going there too! Want to come with me? It’s way faster than that interstellar transit pod of yours,” Meijiu said earnestly, thinking two weeks was far too long to waste on such meaningless travel when they could be spending that time more enjoyably.
“The Imperial Capital Star? What’s A-Jiu doing there?” Xu Yunjing asked, puzzled.
Hadn’t Meijiu just arrived in the Beilan Galaxy?
How did she know about the Imperial Capital Star, and why was she going there?
Meijiu briefly explained the situation regarding Meijiu’s matter.
To her surprise, Xu Yunjing’s first response was, “Do you need me to help you register an Imperial identity?”
Concerned about Meijiu’s future in the Empire, Xu Yunjing, as Deputy Marshal, had the authority to assist with identity registration.
Imperial citizenship was verified through a personal light-brain device.
Meijiu had initially planned to disguise herself as Meijiu and use her identity to travel to the Imperial Capital Star, but someone else’s identity would never truly be her own.
As if on cue, Xu Yunjing offered the perfect solution.
Given their relationship, Meijiu saw no need to be coy.
With the Deputy Marshal’s authority, Meijiu’s identity registration was quickly processed.
Xu Yunjing registered Meijiu as a citizen of a remote Imperial border planet.
Such planets were less affluent, and unlike wealthier worlds where newborns were immediately registered with identity and bound to a light-brain, the cost of a light-brain was a significant expense for families living day-to-day.
For many on these planets, owning a personal light-brain was a lifelong impossibility.
A small number of people who managed to attend university or save enough Imperial credits to leave such planets would register their identities upon arriving at a new residence.
As a result, the Empire’s oversight of identity registrations from these border regions was relatively lax.
However, Meijiu would need to purchase a light-brain upon arriving at the Imperial Capital Star, as interstellar delivery services didn’t extend to Xilan Star, which was too far away.
“A-Jiu… you’ll need to hide your tail and horns… or the Imperial Guard will arrest you on sight,” Xu Yunjing reminded Meijiu to conceal her distinctive features to avoid being detained by the Imperial Guard.
Such features could raise suspicions of an invasion from another galaxy, and even Xu Yunjing’s influence wouldn’t be enough to intervene.
Meijiu wasn’t particularly worried.
In the Kuta Galaxy, succubi were already among the top combat forces, and though she hadn’t been in the Beilan Galaxy long, she had noticed its overall combat strength was far inferior to Kuta’s.
Still, Xu Yunjing had a point.
While Meijiu could handle trouble, she preferred to avoid it altogether, so it was better to eliminate the issue at its source.

Those who have been intimate with Meijiu will feel affection or fall in love with her, though love at first sight isn’t ruled out.
