Premium Alpha Collection Guide (ABO) - Chapter 20
After Meijiu concealed her succubus traits, she stored the magic house in her subspace and asked Xu Yunjing for the coordinates to the Imperial Capital Star.
Xu Yunjing provided the coordinates to her own home, where she lived alone, so there was no worry about being seen by others.
Meijiu took Xu Yunjing’s hand with her left, and with her right, she used spatial magic to create a directed wormhole.
In an instant, they arrived at Xu Yunjing’s home on the Imperial Capital Star.
Xu Yunjing was speechless with shock; even the latest interstellar transit pod required a full two weeks for the journey, yet they had completed it in a moment.
Seeing Xu Yunjing’s stunned expression, Meijiu chuckled softly, reaching out to pinch her cheeks and gently tug.
Xu Yunjing’s delicate face stretched slightly, snapping her out of her daze.
Instead of removing Meijiu’s hands from her face, Xu Yunjing brushed aside Meijiu’s loose hair, her fingers grazing Meijiu’s smooth, creamy skin.
Her thumb traced Meijiu’s soft, rosy lips. Meijiu, in turn, withdrew her hands from Xu Yunjing’s face.
They were already standing close, and Xu Yunjing leaned in, planting a gentle kiss on Meijiu’s lips before pulling back.
“A-Jiu, you’re really something…”
Praise always lifted the mood, even for a demon—especially a confident succubus like Meijiu.
Her peach-blossom eyes curved into crescents, sparkling with delight, her lips curling into a wide smile, radiating joy.
“Of course! I’m the best in my clan, so naturally, I’m amazing… hee…”
Watching Meijiu beam so openly and happily over a simple compliment, Xu Yunjing felt a sense of fulfillment, her lips curving into a pleased smile.
After her moment of joy, Meijiu glanced around Xu Yunjing’s home.
The apartment wasn’t large and could be taken in at a glance—a typical bachelor pad, identical to a real estate agent’s model unit.
The decor was mostly black and white, cold and lifeless, with no hint of warmth.
There wasn’t even a kitchen, not a trace of lived-in charm.
Noticing Meijiu’s gaze sweeping over her home, Xu Yunjing felt a touch of embarrassment.
The magic house’s decor had shown her that Meijiu likely wouldn’t care for her place.
She had bought the apartment merely as a place to crash during rare visits to the Imperial Capital Star.
Due to her pheromone disorder, she avoided returning to her family home, fearing she might affect them.
She had attended the Imperial Military Academy, and before graduating, her outstanding performance earned her an early spot in the Empire’s elite Gryphon unit.
With little need for a fancy home, she had purchased a pre-decorated single apartment from a dealer.
The only modification was reinforcing the walls with high-strength protective materials to prevent chaos during pheromone outbursts.
Everything else remained as it was.
Holding Meijiu’s hand, they sat on the sofa, which wasn’t large but could fit them both.
Yet Meijiu found it stiff and unyielding, far from the plush softness of the sofa in her magic house, which felt like sinking into a cloud.
Finding the sofa uncomfortable, Meijiu slid into Xu Yunjing’s lap, wrapping her arms around Xu Yunjing’s waist and resting her head on her shoulder.
This, she decided, was far more comfortable.
“Xu Yunjing, will you buy me a light-brain? I’ll pay you back once I transfer funds to my account,” Meijiu said, nuzzling Xu Yunjing like an affectionate Yuan Devourer.
“Sure, I’ll get A-Jiu the latest model. It’ll arrive soon,” Xu Yunjing replied, opening her light-brain and disabling the privacy mode so Meijiu could see the screen.
Opening the marketplace, she added, “A-Jiu, you don’t need to pay me back. See anything else you like? I can buy it for you. Don’t worry—I may not boast about much, but I’ve got plenty of money.”
Coming from a prominent family and being an S-class Alpha, Xu Yunjing had no shortage of wealth, even though her position in the military distanced her from the clan leader role.
Her material desires were minimal; as long as things were functional, she was content.
The military provided everything, leaving her few opportunities to spend.
Xu Yunjing gently patted Meijiu’s head, her fingers gliding through Meijiu’s smooth, glossy black hair, which flowed without a single snag.
Meijiu considered the funds she had. Though substantial, she wanted to buy a house on the Imperial Capital Star.
From Meijiu’s light-brain, she had learned about the planet’s conditions and prices, and after purchasing a house, her money would be nearly depleted.
With no current income, she couldn’t afford to burn through her savings.
Not declining Xu Yunjing’s kindness, Meijiu grabbed her face and planted several firm kisses on her lips to express her gratitude.
“Let’s browse together first.”
Xu Yunjing navigated to a light-brain store, letting Meijiu pick a style she liked, then explored other shop categories.
Initially, Meijiu hoped to find something unique to the Beilan Galaxy, different from Kuta’s offerings.
But in the end, she found nothing she wanted.
Everything available in Beilan was either already in her subspace or surpassed by what she had.
Even things Beilan lacked, her subspace provided.
Having a resource-rich subspace was quite the dilemma, she thought with a giggle.
