- Quick Transmigration: God of Slaughter? But He Calls Me Baby!
- Chapter 24 - I Raised You, So Why Can’t I Look?
Taking the main road was much faster than the back roads, and by a little past one in the afternoon, they arrived at the villa district.
Chenzhou had just used up his first pain suppression, and now he sat with half-lidded eyes, listlessly staring out the window.
Gu Sheng’s tall body pressed against him, head resting on his shoulder, strands of hair brushing against Chenzhou’s chin.
He held the boy’s waist, eyes closed, his breathing steady.
There were many bite marks on Chenzhou’s neck, most of them near the collarbone, and most of those were oozing bl00d.
Anyone would find this unbearable.
The biting was far too painful, yet pushing Gu Sheng away carried the risk of him picking up those yellow capsules again.
So Chenzhou endured the whole way, even though he had originally planned to save his pain suppression for later.
But… he had almost been bitten to tears.
System 052: Cub, he’s really biting you.
Chenzhou: He really is! I’m bleeding, wuwuwu!
System 052: So insane.
The car slowed to a stop by the roadside as the villa gates swung open.
Bodyguards respectfully opened the car door for them.
The afternoon sunlight was at its harshest. Chenzhou’s eyes were already red, and now the light made tears spill over.
Earlier, when he had struggled against the biting, Gu Sheng had pinned him down even tighter.
His shirt was a mess of wrinkles, the top three buttons long gone—no one knew where they’d flown off to.
Clutching Gu Sheng’s shoulder, Chenzhou thought… Gu Sheng had never embraced anyone like this before.
The bodyguards silently averted their eyes, turning their backs to the car.
Chenzhou wanted to get out, but the pain suppression had worn off, and the bite marks on his neck throbbed dully.
He wanted to abandon Gu Sheng right there.
He moved slowly, one leg just reaching for the ground when Gu Sheng opened his eyes and yanked him back—instinctively keeping him close even before his consciousness cleared.
Chenzhou quickly clutched his neck. “We’re home. Y-you, you-you-you get out first!”
He immediately shook off Gu Sheng’s hand, darted out of the car, slipped through the narrow opening of the door, and dashed into the villa.
Gu Sheng’s episodes of mania came in waves. He thought back to what had just happened in the car.
He might have… bitten him to the point of tears.
“…” He stepped down from the car with long strides.
Inside, he found Chenzhou crouched in the living room, fiddling with the clasps on the medicine box.
His brows were knitted as he peered into the mirror at the bite marks on his neck.
One look, and he was startled—this wasn’t just bite marks!
Above them, his skin was speckled with tiny red bruises, a pitiful sight.
“Wuwuwu, Gu Sheng, you bastard…”
Still feeling wronged, he wanted to cry again. He dipped a cotton swab in iodine and dabbed it on the bleeding marks.
Each time the swab touched the wound, he twitched and whimpered, but still kept applying.
Gu Sheng took the swab from his hand. Chenzhou jolted. “You want to bite me again!”
“I don’t. Lift your head. I’ll apply it.”
His voice carried a commanding tone, and he sounded back to normal.
Chenzhou shook his head. “No. You take your medicine first. You have to carry it with you from now on.”
“I’m not out every Thursday.” Gu Sheng’s grip softened, tilting Chenzhou’s chin to apply medicine to the side of his neck.
Only up close did he realize how hard he had bitten.
“I should apologize now.”
Chenzhou glared. “What’s the use of ‘sorry’?”
Gu Sheng said, “Sorry.”
Chenzhou buttoned up his shirt, hugged a cushion to his chest, and muttered, “I won’t forgive you…”
“Fine, then don’t.”
Gu Sheng pulled several bottles of medication from the drawer—capsules, lozenges, all kinds—treatments for his condition.
He laid a piece of paper on the coffee table and began sorting them one by one.
Chenzhou watched the growing little mountain of pills and immediately got up from the couch.
Gu Sheng’s hand faltered; the pill he’d just poured out rolled back into the bottle.
He fished one out with his fingers and set it down.
And then, a cup of warm water appeared in front of him.
Chenzhou sat beside him, tugging his collar higher to cover most of the bite marks.
He stared fixedly at Gu Sheng, as if supervising him.
“Don’t seduce me,” Gu Sheng said, raising the cup, his long fingers elegant.
“You’re sick,” Chenzhou retorted.
“I’m not just sick, I’m very sick. Every time I see this empty villa, I just want to lock you inside.”
“Gu Sheng, can you please stop talking.”
Chenzhou pointed at his mouth.
His brows furrowed. “This part of you is really annoying today.”
Gu Sheng gave a confused “Hmm?”
Who even talked like that? Chenzhou was like a little animal, trying to retaliate but with no real way to do it—only able to say something harmlessly funny.
Gu Sheng swallowed the pills one by one, then leaned against Chenzhou’s shoulder.
“Is it hard to take this medicine?”
“A little.”
His face calm, Gu Sheng looked around the empty living room. “Let’s change houses.”
“Somewhere cleaner. Two rooms are enough.”
“Why do you think this place isn’t clean?” Chenzhou asked.
Gu Sheng didn’t answer.
He got up, heading upstairs.
Chenzhou quickly followed, slipping into his room.
“What are you doing?” Gu Sheng asked.
It was Thursday—if Gu Sheng entered another strange state, he could confront him directly.
Maybe even test whether this was linked to the system’s bug.
That way, he could work faster to find a way out of this world.
Chenzhou closed the door behind him, standing firm with a look that said even if you kick me out, I won’t leave.
“I’m not going back, unless you take the surveillance cameras out of my room.”
“Remove the cameras?”
Gu Sheng looked at him, puzzled. “Why?”
“…” Chenzhou thought this was obvious—why even ask?
“You’ve got something you don’t want me to see?” Gu Sheng pressed.
Chenzhou caught a strange sense of normalcy in his tone.
He stared at him in disbelief. “Don’t tell me you actually just sit around watching me on those cameras?!”
Gu Sheng’s brows knit tighter. “I raised you. Why can’t I look?”
The words were deadly serious. He pulled off his tie, setting it aside.
Then, standing before Chenzhou, he calmly set new rules.
“The cameras stay. But you can sleep in my room.”
He pulled off his shirt, revealing a sculpted torso, not the least bit self-conscious about his statement.
“…Can you not be this perverted? Who installs cameras in a bedroom like it’s normal?”
Chenzhou was certain Gu Sheng was doing this on purpose. He had never mentioned the cameras in Chenzhou’s room—deliberately leaving them there for him to forget about.
Absolutely rotten.
Chenzhou tried to argue. “I already promised not to run away. So you can’t put cameras in my room, and you can’t hide trackers on me either!”
Gu Sheng was immovable. “Impossible.”
“You—!” Chenzhou was truly furious now.
His voice rose. “Why don’t you go put cameras in Jiang Huachen’s room then!”
Gu Sheng’s gaze flicked away in disgust.
“Disgusting,” he said flatly.
“I’m not that perverted.”
