- Quick Transmigration: God of Slaughter? But He Calls Me Baby!
- Chapter 30 - Oh, So You Also Did Shameful Things
Jiang Huachen choked a little. Propping himself up from the sofa, he stood, casually picked up the phone, and pretended to check his meeting schedule.
Staring at the blank screen, he reached out to ruffle Jiang En’s hair.
“The company’s about to start working with a new management department. You’ll have to go on your own today. I’ve got a meeting.”
He slipped on his suit jacket. Despite Cheng Xiao’s expression of “What kind of bullsht are you talking about?”*, Jiang Huachen calmly headed toward the door.
But Jiang En dashed forward to grab him.
“But! But you promised to go with me!”
“Bro, you can’t go back on your word!”
He spread his arms wide in front of the door, determined not to let him leave.
Jiang Huachen had endured countless hardships in his life—struggles, pain, humiliation—but never poverty. Without another word, he transferred 100,000 yuan to Jiang En.
Placing his hands firmly on his brother’s shoulders, he said,
“Didn’t you want to go to the Oiiai Cat Electronic Music Festival? Your brother’s buying you tickets. VIP passes are almost sold out—go book them quick.”
Then he lifted Jiang En out of the way and stepped over the threshold.
“Bro!”
Jiang En grew furious.
“Are you scared of Gu Sheng?!”
Jiang Huachen stopped in his tracks.
“Me? Afraid of Gu Sheng?”
Leaning down to meet Jiang En’s gaze, he sneered,
“Your brother has never been afraid of anyone in his life.”
Cheng Xiao, sipping his water, interjected calmly.
“It’s just an apology, not a big deal. We were the ones who took advantage in the first place.”
Remembering how this all started—with Jiang Huachen wielding a steel pipe to fight Gu Sheng one-on-one—Cheng Xiao couldn’t help but laugh.
He strolled over and patted Jiang Huachen’s shoulder.
“Honey, you go to your meeting. I’ll take Xiao En.”
With that, he grabbed his jacket, pulled Jiang En toward the garage.
The scene looked eerily similar to one from a dream. Jiang Huachen ran a hand through his hair, then quickly followed after them.
Jiang En shielded his eyes from the sun and said to Cheng Xiao,
“My hair keeps poking my eyes. I wanna stop by a barber later.”
“Oh, sure. I’ll take you to that place from last time. You can touch up the color too,” Cheng Xiao replied.
“No way!” Jiang Huachen blurted out.
“?” Both Jiang En and Cheng Xiao stared at him, puzzled.
Opening the car door, Cheng Xiao touched his forehead.
“You okay, honey? You’re acting weird. Maybe you’ve got some kind of nervous exhaustion. Let’s book a doctor tomorrow—I’ll go with you.”
He didn’t sound like he was joking.
Jiang Huachen lowered his head slightly, staring at Cheng Xiao.
“I’ll drive.”
He gripped Cheng Xiao’s shoulders and firmly pushed him into the passenger seat.
On the road, Jiang Huachen watched the crowds crossing the crosswalk.
“Xiao En, when are you moving back home?”
The question made Jiang En glance at Cheng Xiao, then back at Jiang Huachen. His cheeks flushed.
“I’m fine living here…”
Cheng Xiao narrowed his eyes.
“Why are you blushing just because he asked if you’re moving back?”
Jiang En quickly ducked behind the car seat.
“N-no, I’m not blushing.”
Neither Jiang Huachen nor Cheng Xiao managed to get a straight answer from him.
Before long, they entered the villa district.
Parking the car, Jiang Huachen got out and walked up to a tall, two-story duplex villa. He pressed the intercom by the gate.
Jiang En leaned close and whispered,
“Qianzhou, it’s me.”
Qianzhou’s voice answered from inside.
“You’re here? Gu Sheng’s in a meeting upstairs. I’ll go call him.”
“No need.”
Jiang Huachen added,
“We won’t stay long.”
Qianzhou came to the door wearing a loose white T-shirt and shorts. His fine black hair had grown a little longer.
As soon as Jiang En saw him, he rushed up. Jiang Huachen and Cheng Xiao followed behind, stepping for the first time into Gu Sheng’s home.
The living room was filled with luxurious, custom-made furniture. All black and white. The design was sophisticated and not at all empty, yet for just two people living there, it felt cold.
Jiang Huachen’s gaze swept to Gu Sheng’s wine cabinet. This psycho really has taste, he thought. Bottles arranged meticulously by vintage and quality. But the central slot on the top shelf was empty.
Cheng Xiao was far more casual. Sitting down next to Qianzhou, he noticed the bite marks on Qianzhou’s neck.
He drew in a sharp breath.
“Gu Sheng really went that far with you, huh…”
Uncomfortable, Qianzhou touched his neck. The swelling had gone down, but the scabs near his collarbone were still visible.
He tugged up his collar.
“He was late taking his meds, so… he couldn’t control himself.”
Cheng Xiao’s gaze flicked down to his waist.
“You okay?”
Forcing a smile, Qianzhou answered,
“…Still… still okay.”
“What are you guys talking about? What do you mean ‘went that far’?” Jiang En asked.
Cheng Xiao patted his head.
“Better if you don’t understand. You don’t need to know about stuff like this.”
But Jiang En tugged at Qianzhou’s collar, standing so close their shoulders touched.
When he saw the bite marks clearly, he said,
“Oh, so you also did shameful things.”
Cheng Xiao raised a brow.
“And where’d you learn that term?”
Jiang En glanced back at Jiang Huachen to make sure he couldn’t overhear, then leaned close to whisper in Cheng Xiao’s ear.
“I saw you two last time… doing shameful things.”
His face reddened again, but this time he kept his composure.
Cheng Xiao studied him. Something about the calmness was unnerving. Pinching Jiang En’s cheeks until his lips puckered, he pressed,
“How much exactly do you know?”
Jiang En’s eyes darted to the side.
“J-just… that my brother likes it when you’re on top…”
“Whoa…” Qianzhou gasped, astonished.
“And… um… he doesn’t like to use protection, and you yelled at him…”
Cheng Xiao fell silent.
Finally, he let go and rubbed Jiang En’s flushed face.
“Never would’ve guessed…”
His gaze shifted to Jiang Huachen’s back.
“How do you even know he doesn’t like protection?”
“Cough, well, that’s why I think it’s better if we live separately.”
Jiang En turned to Qianzhou.
“If only you could move in with me, that’d be great.”
At that moment, footsteps echoed from the stairs. Gu Sheng appeared at the landing, frowning at the three uninvited guests in his living room.
He locked eyes with Jiang Huachen.
Sparks flew silently, the air thick with hostility—an aura of cross me and I’ll end you right here.
Qianzhou hurried to the stairs, tugging Gu Sheng’s sleeve to pull him down.
“Gu Sheng, please, just hear them out, okay?”
Jiang En nudged Jiang Huachen forward, whispering,
“Bro, hurry, say it.”
Gu Sheng’s dark gaze fixed on Jiang Huachen. If not for Qianzhou’s hand on his sleeve, he would’ve thrown them out already.
Cheng Xiao stood up, breaking the silence.
“President Gu, about that day—yes, it was our fault.”
“Fortunately, no one was hurt, and nothing irreversible happened.”
“We came today to sincerely apologize to you… and to Qianzhou.”
Jiang Huachen sighed softly. Stepping forward, he faced Gu Sheng head-on. Both men radiated an aura of dominance—each monopolizing resources in their field.
Now that Jiang En no longer had feelings for Gu Sheng, and Gu Sheng had promised Qianzhou not to trouble them again, Jiang Huachen extended a hand.
“President Gu, I’m sorry.”
