- Quick Transmigration: God of Slaughter? But He Calls Me Baby!
- Chapter 42 - Let Go of the Hostage!
“Ahhh—!!”
The man holding Jiang En down let out a heart-piercing scream, his hand and arm trembling with pain.
“You—you dare bite me?!”
Jiang En spat out the bloody foam with a ptoo, “And you dare touch me! Do you even know who my brother is?!”
For a moment, Qian Zhou forgot to struggle.
Wait, seriously? This tough? Jiang En didn’t even cry from fear.
“I’ve been kidnapped more times than I can count since I was a kid. You think my bodyguards eat grass?!”
Even though Jiang En was pressed back down again, his aura had already won.
Miles glanced around warily. “Bodyguards…”
His remaining two stumps twitched as if wanting to reach into his pockets, but after fumbling twice he realized—he no longer had hands.
Miles’ face darkened. “Call everyone up here. Today I’ll make Gu Sheng regret ever crossing me!”
Qian Zhou was being held down so tightly, that big hand pressing his face red. He could barely breathe.
With a ding, the elevator arrived. The doors slid open, and the people inside froze at the chaotic scene.
The bodyguard behind Miles pulled out a gun, aiming threateningly at those in the elevator.
Pei Fangyu poked his head out of the crowd. “What’s the holdup, why aren’t the doors closing—holy sh1t!”
Seeing Qian Zhou’s face flushed red from lack of air, he immediately shoved through the crowd and stepped out. “Get your filthy hand off his face!”
Jiang En glared at him. “Bullshit!”
Qian Zhou quickly rammed his elbow back, trying to break free—only to have a gun shoved against his head.
Miles cursed. “I only want him. The rest of you stay back, or I’ll blow your heads off too!”
Two sets of hurried footsteps rushed over. The bodyguards instantly shielded Jiang En, who snapped angrily, “Why are you two only showing up now?!”
“Young master, he’s got a lot of men. They trapped us in the bathroom,” one replied calmly.
Jiang En jabbed a finger at Miles. “Go take down that pig-head!”
The two towering bodyguards stepped forward—but at that moment, another elevator opened, and Miles’ men poured out in a swarm.
The bodyguards froze, then stepped back, hoisting Jiang En onto their shoulder. “Apologies, young master. Your safety is our top priority.”
Pei Fangyu tried to move closer, but Miles barked, “Don’t come any nearer!”
“What, you hate someone, you go for them. Pointing a gun at someone else’s head, is that what passes for manhood? So pathetic!”
“Shut up!”
Miles roared, “You didn’t get your hands chopped off—what gives you the right to say that?!”
Pei Fangyu, with his ever-weird logic, shot back, “So what, no hands means no life? Can’t enjoy life without hands? Huh?”
“Shut it! I’ve got plenty of men and women. What do I need hands for?!”
Pei Fangyu scratched his chin. “Fat as you are, you can’t even reach. Hurry up and let him go.”
He raised a hand to stop Miles’ men who were itching to attack. “Hold it. My own dad’s had people beat me up a hundred and eighty times already. You lot, ten or so, don’t stand a chance. Who wants to test me?”
Hands shoved in his pockets, Pei Fangyu tilted his chin at Miles. “Let go. Otherwise I’ll have JiJi poke your eyeballs out.”
Miles, with his limited Chinese, understood it as the vilest insult imaginable.
His breathing quickened, face red, neck bulging. “Whose eyes are you poking with that?!”
Pei Fangyu didn’t bother arguing. He threw back his head and roared, “JiJi—!”
At once, Miles felt a blur of red streak toward his face at inhuman speed.
“Ah! Ahhh—my face! My face!!”
Agonizing pain shot through him. A massive green-winged macaw was savagely biting at his face.
Miles thrashed wildly. “Get it off me!!”
His men surged forward, grabbing the nearly-escaped Qian Zhou in the chaos, while two others tried to seize the parrot.
But birds are twice as fast as humans—before they could grab it, JiJi was already gone, flying off.
It even let out a strange, low laugh—the exact same mocking laugh as Pei Fangyu. Absolutely shameless.
At Miles’ command, his men who had been wary of Pei Fangyu now rushed him all at once.
Pei Fangyu knocked one down in just a few moves—his combat strength far beyond any spoiled young master.
Jiang En smacked his bodyguard’s back. “What are you waiting for—go help him!”
This time, the bodyguards obeyed, joining forces with Pei Fangyu.
Taking advantage of the chaos, Miles fled with three men, Qian Zhou slung over a shoulder like a sack. The grip around his stomach made him nauseous, bile rising.
“Damn it, why are kids these days so fearless?”
One of his men wiped bl00d from his nose. “Maybe they’re used to being kidnapped.”
Miles, bulky as three men, was already exhausted after a few flights of stairs, needing to be dragged along.
“Quick… down to the first deck… someone’s waiting…”
He panted so hard that a single sentence came out in pieces. His men were struggling too—one squeezed against the stair rail, another with his face nearly scraping the wall.
The one carrying Qian Zhou was actually the least strained.
“Boss, what if someone catches up?”
Miles glanced at Qian Zhou. “With him here, no one dares come close.”
“Not necessarily.”
The stairwell fell silent. Miles glared at Qian Zhou. “Did I give you permission to talk?”
Pale-faced, Qian Zhou muttered, “Can we negotiate? Put me down, I’ll walk myself. My stomach’s killing me from the way you’re carrying me.”
Miles handed his man a gun. “Try anything funny and I’ll put a hole in you.”
Qian Zhou thought to himself indifferently—whatever, I still have one pain-block left. Shoot if you want.
Seeing the hostage unafraid while he himself was the one panicking, Miles felt like he was losing his grip.
“You’re not afraid of dying?!” he snapped.
Qian Zhou said fearlessly, “Afraid of this? Please. If I didn’t still have unanswered questions, I’d welcome death.”
“You—” Miles was at a loss for words.
A gun pressed into Qian Zhou’s back forced him to keep moving down the stairs.
Out of the corner of his eye, he caught sight of Miles’ severed wrists—both hands hacked off at the root.
He looked away, a thought surfacing: maybe Gu Sheng really was a bit of a heartless 6S-class.
Miles had his men strap on mechanical hands, then snatched the gun and pressed it to Qian Zhou himself.
The fire escape was deserted, so they reached the yacht’s lowest level unhindered, where the tourist area opened to the outer deck.
A man shoved open the door. Blinding sunlight and the sound of waves rushed in.
The moment Miles stepped out—
Bang!
A heavy gunshot exploded beside his ear.
One of his men collapsed, a bloody hole in his forehead.
“Miles—let go of the hostage!”
Armed security forces stood in a line, dozens of gun barrels aimed right at Miles’ head.
Fear finally set in. Trembling, he shouted, “You—you come any closer and I’ll shoot!”
Qian Zhou was trapped, unable to move.
That black muzzle could take his life at any moment. Miles’ gun hand trembled ever so slightly.
Qian Zhou saw Gu Sheng standing opposite.
His face was terrifyingly dark, standing beside the head of security, his aura calm and remote, as if nothing before him was enough to stir him.
Miles glared at Gu Sheng, his eyes sharp as blades, wishing to cut him into a thousand pieces.
“Gu Sheng—!!”
“Watch carefully as the one you care about dies right in my hands!”
