Reasonable Loss - 36
Dokwon’s eyes narrowed slightly.
“You look like you’re having a hard time.”
“No, I’m okay.”
“You don’t look okay.”
Dokwon’s voice was devoid of emotion.
Eunsoo let out a hollow laugh. Why ask that now? The current Dokwon didn’t seem to care whether Eunsoo was really okay or not. Eunsoo thought that if he suddenly fainted, Dokwon might just throw him out of the car with an annoyed expression.
Eunsoo buried his face between his legs and mumbled.
“You’re right. I’m not okay. It feels like a dump truck is going to suddenly appear and crush the car.”
“…”
“But I’m holding it in, so just… pretend you don’t know.”
“…”
Dokwon said nothing. Eunsoo hadn’t expected an answer, so it was fine. Meanwhile, the car kept moving. Every time they hit a speed bump, Eunsoo’s back twitched.
Eunsoo glanced at Dokwon. He murmured with a faint smile.
“It’s a relief you don’t remember the accident…”
At that moment, what expression did Dokwon make? His lips seemed to twitch, but Eunsoo couldn’t see clearly as the car entered an underground road.
It had been a month since Eunsoo last visited Dokwon’s house. Yet, nothing had changed. The luxurious yet simple interior was the same, and thanks to the diligent housekeeper, it was spotless as usual.
Secretary Jung dropped Dokwon off and left. He offered to help with the cleanup, but Eunsoo sent him away, saying it wasn’t right to make an employee do personal chores at such a late hour. Secretary Jung didn’t refuse the gesture and left.
Eunsoo, ignoring Dokwon’s ‘Who are you to send my secretary away?’ expression, familiarly slipped into home slippers.
Before the car accident, most of their dates took place at Eunsoo’s house because Dokwon preferred it. He said the smaller house made Eunsoo’s scent stronger. Eunsoo found it absurd that Dokwon called his over-thirty-pyeong house ‘small,’ but he let it slide.
That didn’t mean Eunsoo rarely visited Dokwon’s house. Since it was closer to the company, he often dropped by for various reasons.
For instance, when they wanted to skip work or when their kisses turned into something more. Thus, Eunsoo was very familiar with this luxurious house.
Eunsoo’s actions of putting sneakers into a shoe cabinet, which was hard to find the handle for at first glance, made Dokwon chuckle. Seeing traces of what clearly wasn’t his all over the house, he wondered if they were all Eunsoo’s.
Ha, he really was in such a relationship with this omega. It was hard to believe.
But that was then, and this is now. Unless he suddenly regained his memories, he felt nothing for Eunsoo at the moment.
Just… occasionally, he found Eunsoo surprisingly pretty and moving like a white cat. That was all.
“Let’s start with the living room.”
Dokwon passed Eunsoo and headed into the hallway. But Eunsoo brushed past him.
“I need to get some water first.”
Eunsoo informed him and walked down the small hallway to the kitchen.
“…”
Left alone, Dokwon sighed deeply and wiped his face.
There were far more traces of Eunsoo than he had expected.
Two years of dating. It could be considered long, but not so long that there should be so many traces. Then again, since they barely spent a day apart during those two years, it made sense.
