Reasonable Loss - 60
He then urged him to eat by tapping the plate with his chopsticks.
Eunsoo ate it all without any complaints.
He wasn’t picky about food in the first place, and for the sake of his body, or rather, for the baby inside him, he could certainly eat that much.
After feasting like that and clearing the table, they arranged for dessert.
Myunghee, with her good sense, had prepared a substantial dessert as well.
Eunsoo was thrilled.
He loved desserts.
While Dokwon was busy concentrating on a superhero flying through the sky, Eunsoo focused on the cake.
The large cake filled with strawberries was incredibly delicious.
The strawberries were tangy yet sweet, the cream was rich, and the cake was moist and soft.
While munching away like that, when drinking the warm, slightly bitter tea, heaven didn’t seem enviable.
Eunsoo finished two pieces of cake in an instant. Then, when he picked the fig-flavored financier from the box, he was suddenly asked:
“Do you usually eat like this?”
It was Dokwon’s voice. Startled by the sudden question, Eunsoo shook and dropped the financier. Looking sadly at the bread rolling on the floor, Eunsoo glared at Dokwon.
“You almost made me drop it!”
“Ah… I didn’t expect you to be so startled. Sorry.”
Dokwon sincerely apologized. Then, he picked up a new financier and handed it to Eunsoo. Strangely, Eunsoo’s eyebrows, which had been raised in surprise, relaxed.
Dokwon learned something new. Despite Eunsoo’s innocent appearance, he was clever, but weak when it came to desserts. It suited Eunsoo so well that Dokwon almost burst into laughter.
He thought, “I might one day say something like, ‘You shouldn’t follow a strange man who buys you strawberry cake. I’ll buy you three boxes, so call me.’”
“Yes. I usually eat like this. It has something to do with being pregnant, but it’s how I am. But it’s not like I eat like this every meal. If I’m not hungry, I don’t eat at all. When I’m hungry, I eat a lot.”
Eunsoo replied while chewing the crispy, dry financier. Dokwon took a deep breath, showing his surprise.
“I was wondering why your mother sent such food. I guess there was a reason.”
Dokwon was picky about food, but it wasn’t that he ate less. He was tall, muscular, and ate a lot to match his high metabolism.
But Eunsoo… No matter how much he looked, it didn’t seem like he had a high metabolism. And although he wasn’t skinny, his arms, waist, thighs, and neck were all slim.
Dokwon couldn’t help but wonder where all that food went.
While Dokwon was lost in thought for a moment, Eunsoo finished one financier and picked up another. Then, he said something quite terrifying.
“I’ll probably eat more when the morning sickness ends, and the baby grows, right?”
“Ah… Yes, I guess so. I’ll prepare thoroughly.”
Dokwon said in a serious tone, his eyes squinting slightly. Eunsoo nodded in approval, praising him for his good attitude. Afterward, they both focused on their desserts, and Dokwon returned to watching the movie.
About five minutes passed. Suddenly, Eunsoo let out a childish giggle. Dokwon’s gaze naturally drifted toward Eunsoo. Eunsoo, as if waiting for this moment, began to speak quickly.
“I just remembered.”
“Yes?”
“When you first tried to win me over, you bought me lots of delicious food.”
“…Me?”
Dokwon had a look of disbelief. “Win you over? Me? Eunsoo? With food?” It was so unbelievable that the corners of Dokwon’s eyes twitched.
Eunsoo nodded his head three times. Meanwhile, he attacked the fudgy chocolate cake with his fork.
“Yes. You knew I liked to eat, so you fed me really well. Rice, alcohol, desserts… When we broke up, you even sent me lots of things.”
