“Excuse me?”
Eunsoo asked again.
“…It’s nothing.”
Dokwon stepped back a step. Eunsoo looked at him strangely before quickly heading towards the front door. Dokwon, looking a little sulky, followed him.
“See you on the weekend.”
Eunsoo put on his shoes, said a dull goodbye, and quickly turned around. Then, Dokwon hurriedly grabbed his elbow.
“Tomorrow.”
“Yes?”
“We agreed to meet tomorrow. I mentioned we’d have dinner at my place tomorrow evening.”
At those words, Eunsoo let out a brief exclamation, “Ah.” It had been the same when they kissed. Dokwon had said, “We’ll eat here tomorrow evening.” And, under the spell of his pheromones, Eunsoo had absentmindedly answered, “…Yes.”
It wasn’t just something he said. If they met tomorrow and on the weekend, they’d see each other every day this week. Was that okay?
Eunsoo scratched his cheek with his index finger and looked at Dokwon.
There was no sign of pain on Dokwon’s handsome face. He hadn’t complained of a headache all day. Even after they kissed, he was still fine.
Eunsoo lightly nodded.
“Okay. I’ll come over after work. Then we can have the seaweed soup tomorrow evening together.”
“That would be good.”
Dokwon smiled contentedly and let go of his hand. Eunsoo also smiled back. He opened the front door and stepped outside.
“Then, I’ll go now, Dokwon. Sleep well.”
“Yes, you too, Eunsoo.”
The door closed, and the sound of the door lock clicking echoed through the hallway.
Dokwon quietly listened to the sound of Eunsoo’s footsteps fading away. Soon, the elevator alert sounded. He also heard the opening and closing of the elevator doors.
At that point, Eunsoo’s scent, which had lingered in the air, began to fade. Dokwon tightly clenched his fist.
An excuse was needed.
An excuse to take Eunsoo home without it being awkward.
Or an excuse to have him stay at his house, by his side, for the night.
Dokwon stood in the hallway for a long time, repeating the same thoughts he had in the past.
Eunsoo and Dokwon met in front of the obstetrics and gynecology clinic. This was the clinic that Eunsoo had hurriedly found online earlier.
“Does it have to be… this place? There are so many obstetrics and gynecology clinics in Seoul.”
Dokwon twisted his lips in displeasure. He clearly didn’t like the shabby appearance of the clinic.
It wasn’t surprising. The clinic was on the second floor of a five-story old building. It had a narrow, musty-smelling elevator, and on the first floor, there was a small pharmacy and a rundown pub with a crooked sign. It was an odd kind of obstetrics and gynecology clinic.
Still, the inside of the clinic was clean, with no stains on the windows, and it was spacious enough to have examination rooms, delivery rooms, and patient rooms. The best part was that it was close to Eunsoo’s house.
When he was sick, he didn’t have the energy to take a taxi. He definitely couldn’t ride the subway. So, the clinic had to be close enough to walk to.
“The doctor here is good.”
Eunsoo said, holding Dokwon’s hand.
“Wouldn’t a doctor at a more expensive clinic be better?”
Dokwon countered.
“But I like it here.”
