Reborn as a Scummy Alpha, I Became Every Heroine's Obsession (GL) - Chapter 20
When Feng Jiying returned to the villa, Gu Qiqi was already waiting at the entrance.
Trailing conspicuously behind Feng Jiying’s car was the inspector sent by the Federal Government—impossible to miss.
Gu Qiqi immediately stepped forward. “President Feng, you’re back.”
Just as Feng Jiying opened the car door, she grabbed Gu Qiqi by the collar and yanked her upper body into the car.
Feng Jiying said coldly, “Is this how you handle things after taking the money? Calling me ‘President Feng’—those old foxes from the Federal Government will see right through it in an instant.”
The two were extremely close. When Gu Qiqi shifted slightly, the tips of their noses almost touched.
Feng Jiying caught a whiff of something—an overwhelmingly sweet pheromone.
She frowned. “Can’t you control your pheromones even a little?”
At first, Gu Qiqi had found their closeness awkward.
But hearing that, she instinctively sniffed the air around them. “I don’t smell anything. All I can pick up is a bitter coffee scent. I don’t have any scent on me.”
As Gu Qiqi moved, the two drew even closer.
She had one hand braced on the car door, the other on the seat beside Feng Jiying. From a distance, it looked as if Gu Qiqi were embracing Feng Jiying, whispering intimately like lovers.
Yet in reality, Feng Jiying had a firm grip on Gu Qiqi’s collar, and Gu Qiqi, unable to find proper footing, was leaning forward uncontrollably.
For the first time, subtle emotion flickered in Feng Jiying’s always-calm, almond-shaped eyes. She instinctively reached out to steady Gu Qiqi’s body. In turn, Gu Qiqi had to pull her hand back from the car door and rest it on Feng Jiying’s shoulder.
Neither of them noticed that their lips had already come into the slightest contact during their earlier exchange.
Now, cool lips pressed firmly against soft ones.
Both widened their eyes in surprise. Neither had expected this outcome. At that moment, the coffee-like omega pheromones and the sweet, alluring scent from Gu Qiqi seemed to fuse subtly in the air.
They breathed in each other’s scent—intimate and inseparable.
Feng Jiying saw Gu Qiqi’s face up close. The same unruly and defiant face now looked dazed and uncharacteristically gentle.
The inspector from the Federal Government, seeing them kiss right after meeting, nodded in satisfaction. He opened his notebook, made a mark with his pen, and continued his observations.
Even someone as composed and self-restrained as Feng Jiying couldn’t fully resist the allure of such a high-grade pheromone.
Especially one as overwhelmingly powerful as Gu Qiqi’s—a perfect 100% genetic match.
Feng Jiying’s grip on Gu Qiqi’s collar alternated between tight and loose. Her once-clear eyes began to show traces of confusion.
The bitter coffee scent of her omega pheromones slowly filled the car. She even tilted her chin slightly, offering her lips once more. Despite her fear that Gu Qiqi might push her away at any second, her body moved on its own.
Yet deep inside, a voice screamed at her to stop this absurd misunderstanding.
She loathed being controlled by pheromones—loathed becoming a clown in heat.
But the moment she came into true contact with Gu Qiqi, she realized the devastating attraction Gu Qiqi’s pheromones held over her.
A faint blush began to spread across Feng Jiying’s face. The hand that had been gripping Gu Qiqi’s collar gradually slid up to wrap around the back of her neck.
Her actions clearly revealed a fear—fear that Gu Qiqi might push her away.
Feng Jiying didn’t know how to kiss. In fact, she had no concept of what it meant to initiate one. Their lips were pressed tightly together, and she couldn’t even figure out how to breathe, gasping awkwardly for air.
All she could do was press her lips against Gu Qiqi’s in a clumsy, hesitant twist.
Gu Qiqi’s eyes were wide open, but with the recent deposit she’d received in her terminal and the intense gaze of the Federal Government inspector nearby, she couldn’t tell whether Feng Jiying was still acting—or if this had become something else.
If it was just acting, wasn’t she going a bit overboard? That was why Gu Qiqi hesitated and didn’t push her away.
After all, whatever President Feng did, she surely had her reasons. If Gu Qiqi messed up her plan and caused her to get angry and revoke the payment, that would be a real problem.
It was just a kiss—she wasn’t going to lose a limb. It’s not like she was some virtuous and untouchable alpha. Being kissed by an omega wouldn’t ruin her reputation. If anything, it could even be considered a lucky encounter.
But then Gu Qiqi began to sense that something was off.
Feng Jiying seemed to be getting too into it.
She slowly parted her lips, her teeth grazing gently along Gu Qiqi’s lower lip—wasn’t that kind of teasing only something couples did? This level of dedication to “acting” was excessive, wasn’t it?
And then, Feng Jiying’s soft, warm tongue tentatively licked her lower lip.
Gu Qiqi gasped, “Hey… that’s enough, don’t you think?”
The air inside the car was heating up. Even with the door slightly ajar and fresh air circulating, the oppressive mix of bitter coffee pheromones and sugary sweetness couldn’t be contained. It was as if the scents were fighting to escape, surging out into the open air.
Gu Qiqi finally managed to pinch Feng Jiying’s chin, creating a moment of distance between their lips.
But Feng Jiying’s eyes had already changed.
She pressed her hand gently against the nape of Gu Qiqi’s neck, and the eyes that were usually indifferent and cold now shimmered with a soft, moist glow. She stared at Gu Qiqi without blinking.
There was something deep and unreadable in her gaze—so intense it made Gu Qiqi’s heart race, made her want to look away.
Feng Jiying whispered, “Don’t move. I’ll transfer you more money in a moment. Just let me kiss you a little longer.”
Gu Qiqi frowned. “President Feng, what kind of nonsense are you—mmph!”
Caught off guard by Feng Jiying’s sudden force, their lips met again—fierce and heavy. The small pendant on Gu Qiqi’s pheromone-suppressing collar bounced against Feng Jiying’s collarbone with a soft thud.
Gu Qiqi’s heart pounded furiously. She couldn’t even describe what she was feeling.
It was like tasting a piece of coffee-flavored jelly—smooth, tender, and surprisingly exquisite.
Just when Gu Qiqi thought things were about to get completely out of hand, Feng Jiying suddenly relaxed her grip. She lowered her head slightly, breathing heavily, her lips still glistening with moisture.
She looked up, reached for her glasses, and pulled them off, revealing her long, usually cold and expressionless eyes. But now, they were tinged with a faint pink hue, making her look soft, almost charming—completely different from her usual distant self.
Feng Jiying said softly, “The inspector from the Federal Government will leave soon. Just hold on a little longer. I’ll pay you double.”
Gu Qiqi groaned, stretching out her aching back with one hand while using the other to cover her slightly swollen lips. She shot Feng Jiying a look of protest. “Even if you’re paying me, I still have some dignity, okay? Dignity isn’t something that should be bought so easily. I earn my money with real work, President Feng. Don’t you think this is a bit degrading?”
Feng Jiying exhaled slowly, calming her breath and emotions. Her expression didn’t change as she said, “Five times the pay.”
Gu Qiqi’s tone changed instantly. “Deal, Jiying.”
Feng Jiying added, “Carry me out.”
Gu Qiqi, who had finally stood up straight again, turned to her in disbelief. “What?”
Feng Jiying was already holding out her hand.
She wasn’t about to admit that the kiss had left her legs weak and she didn’t have the strength to walk on her own.
The Federal inspector watched as Feng Jiying leaned into Gu Qiqi’s arms, delicate and dependent. Completely satisfied, he left the scene—and even snapped a photo of the two embracing.
Feng Jiying discreetly licked the corner of her lips, tasting the last trace of Gu Qiqi’s sweet pheromones.
Once inside the villa, Gu Qiqi set her down on the firm couch. Feng Jiying instantly returned to her usual cold and composed self—there was no sign at all that she’d just been kissing someone moments earlier.
She crossed her long legs and casually unbuttoned the top two buttons of her shirt, revealing her graceful collarbones and slender neck.
Her tone was calm and slightly lazy, like a spoiled cat basking in comfort. “You’re really bad at kissing.”
Just then, Gu Qiqi’s wrist device vibrated with an incoming message.
Gu Qiqi glanced down. “Liu Huaiqing? Why is she contacting me?”
Before she could tap to answer, her wrist was suddenly grabbed.
Feng Jiying pressed down on her terminal and stared directly into Gu Qiqi’s eyes. Her gaze—usually unreadable and distant—was now filled with strong emotion: possessiveness, intensity, and a quiet dominance.
“You’re not answering that.”
