Reborn Into A New Life, Everyone Loves Me Now (GL) - Chapter 6
Liu Jiangli was unusually passionate. She leaned down and straddled Su Qishi, her slender fingers lightly caressing her waist, slowly lifting her robes.
Su Qishi had just taken Five-Stone Powder and now lay on the dragon bed with her eyes closed, resting in a half-conscious daze. Amidst the haze, she seemed to see Liu Jiangli.
But she quickly dismissed the thought—why would Liu Jiangli appear here at such a time?
It must be another dream.
Su Qishi gave a self-mocking chuckle.
Yet, the Liu Jiangli in her dream was unusually fervent. She leaned forward, straddling Su Qishi, her delicate fingers raising her robe. With a slight tug, the fabric slipped away, revealing a slender waist and soft curves that quivered with every motion.
Su Qishi tried to push Liu Jiangli away, but her body wouldn’t respond. All she could do was watch as Liu Jiangli gently guided her hand downward. A tight, warm sensation followed, accompanied by a teasing sigh at her ear.
Liu Jiangli’s eyes shimmered with a seductive flush, her red lips parting in soft breaths. She swayed her hips at her own rhythm, while Su Qishi lay helpless, unmoving, like a lifeless puppet.
Gradually, as a warm tide splashed across her abdomen, the figure on top finally stilled. Yet, the part nestled deep within, swollen and soaked, remained inside. Liu Jiangli rested her head against Su Qishi’s chest, like a kitten seeking affection, her body trembling softly.
Su Qishi sat on the dragon throne, reviewing memorials in her hands, yet her mind couldn’t help but wander back to the dream from the night before.
“Yue Ye! Prepare to depart for Changchun Palace.”
—Changchun Palace—
As soon as Su Qishi stepped into the palace, Liu Jiangli, as if their hearts were connected, approached her with a gaze that couldn’t conceal its anticipation.
In a soft voice, she called out, “Ah Shi…”
Su Qishi replied awkwardly, “Mm.”
After entering the hall, Liu Jiangli didn’t mention anything about Su Jue. Instead, she quietly sat beside Su Qishi, simply watching her, her eyes filled with unspoken affection.
Su Qishi was slightly surprised, but chose not to dwell on it. She spoke slowly, “There’s been a conclusion regarding Su Jue.”
At the mention of his name, Liu Jiangli tensed.
“It was the Queen Mother’s doing.”
Su Qishi glanced at her—those beautiful eyes, tinged red, lingered in her mind.
“Whatever compensation you want, I will not refuse.”
Liu Jiangli raised her hand to wipe away the tears on her cheek, shaking her head. Her voice trembled, holding back the sobs threatening to escape. “Ah Shi… Jue’er was only three years old…”
Su Qishi hesitated for a moment but ultimately chose to embrace Liu Jiangli.
In that moment, it felt as if they had returned to the past—when the two of them still had the chance to walk the same path.
Leaning against Su Qishi’s shoulder, Liu Jiangli cried in silence, her tears quickly soaking through the fabric.
Eventually, perhaps exhausted from crying, she fell asleep against Su Qishi’s shoulder.
Su Qishi sighed, gently lifted her onto the bed, gave a few instructions, then turned and left.
But after Su Qishi departed, the one who had appeared to be sound asleep sat up, staring blankly at her retreating figure, unable to pull herself back to reality for a long time.
“Your Majesty, are you certain you won’t take Divine Healer Zhou with you when you leave the palace today?”
“What, are you afraid I’ll drop dead halfway there?”
“Your Majesty, please don’t say such things. You’re destined to live for ten thousand years.”
“Enough with the flattery.”
Whoosh! An arrow sliced through the sky, flying straight toward Su Qishi with force and speed. Even Yue Ye didn’t have time to react.
With a muffled grunt, Su Qishi collapsed to the ground. The arrow had struck her heart, and it clenched violently.
“The Emperor has been shot! Protect Her Majesty, quickly!”
Yue Ye shouted, and the others, finally realizing what had happened, rushed to surround Su Qishi.
She felt something rising in her throat and suddenly coughed up a mouthful of bl00d, splattering her face—and Yue Ye’s—with crimson.
In her ears, Yue Ye’s panicked voice cried out, “Call the Imperial Physician! Hurry!”
But Su Qishi’s eyes were fixed on someone atop the city tower.
—Liu Jiangli.
People often say that after death, one enters the cycle of reincarnation and is reborn. Su Qishi hadn’t believed it at first—but in the end, she did. Because she wanted them to live a little more freely in their next life.
