Reincarnated as a Farmer Gamer: Rising to the Top with the Evolution of the Weakest Job that Only I Know About!? - 24.1
The next day, the schedule progressed without any incidents.
Name: Beryl
Floor Cleared: 0
Party Members: None
Level: 14
Should I casually proceed through Floor 0?
I was having too much fun hunting deteriorated minotaurs on the first floor, so I forgot about advancing through the floors.
My third time entering the dungeon.
It feels reassuring to come back to my hometown.
Each dungeon has its own paths, and since they are quite extensive, it’s impossible to memorize the map.
It would be convenient to have a map or something, but unfortunately, there’s nothing like that.
Exiting is easy. When you want to leave, you don’t need to go back to the entrance; you can simply press the exit button to leave the dungeon. It’s the same even in this other world, so it’s very convenient.
I continue forward, defeating deteriorated minotaurs one after another.
Even with such a difference in levels, it’s a one-hit kill thanks to the guaranteed critical hit of “Walker of the Dark Night” and the increase in scythe attack power due to reaching 300 agility. To be more accurate, the guaranteed critical hit is incredibly powerful.
Furthermore, there is another advantage to the guaranteed critical hit. But before explaining that, it’s necessary to explain the mechanism of “critical hits.”
First of all, “damage” is represented by numbers in the game, but in this other world, numbers cannot be seen. However, it’s safe to assume that the numbers seen during the game correspond to the same judgment here.
Damage is calculated by “base attack power” × “skill” – “enemy defense value.”
Since there is no skill involved in the slashing action, it becomes a simple value obtained by subtracting the enemy’s defense value from the base attack power. Of course, the enemy’s defense value is not constant; it depends on the part being attacked.
The “base attack power” is determined by the weapon each person uses. In the case of a sword, the stat “strength” becomes the attack power.
For example, when a swordsman with a strength of 30 attacks with an iron sword with an attack power of 10, the “base attack power” is calculated as follows: Since the swordsman’s attack power is increased by a factor of 1.5 when equipped with a sword, it becomes 30 × 1.5 + 10, resulting in a total of 55 as the “base attack power.”
Now, let’s assume a reaper with 30 agility attacks with an iron scythe with an attack power of 10. In this case, the “base attack power” when equipped with the scythe increases by a factor of 5 due to the reaper’s agility, resulting in 30 × 5 + 10, which equals 160.
Considering that the swordsman’s advanced evolution is tripled, it can be understood that the reaper’s attack power is significantly more powerful compared to the same rank.
As for me, due to the effect of “Limit Break,” the stats that were supposed to only go up to 100 can now be increased to 200, and my current agility is also 200. Moreover, with a bonus of 100, the total becomes 300. This directly translates to my attack power.
A “critical hit” increases in probability based on the luck stat, and when it occurs, it deals double the damage of the “base attack power.” Furthermore, it ignores the enemy’s defense value. This is a quite powerful effect, as even the sturdy skin of a King Black Wolf can be easily torn apart with a critical hit.
However, even the highest-ranking magical beasts in the deepest part of the dungeon have resistance to critical hits, making it difficult. Nonetheless, a critical hit is still powerful.
Now, let’s get to the main topic: the “Backstab Guaranteed Critical Hit.”
The strength of this lies not only in the fact that a critical hit is guaranteed but also in the additional effect that surpasses that.
Although luck usually affects the critical hit rate, in the case of a guaranteed critical hit, even a luck stat of 1 is sufficient.
What happens here is the additional effect of “For a guaranteed critical hit, add the value of the luck stat to the base attack power.”
In other words, with “Backstab Guaranteed Critical Hit,” the value of my agility increases the attack power by the same amount as the luck stat.
As a result, my “Backstab Guaranteed Critical Hit” with 300 agility and 200 luck inflicts super damage. Despite the overwhelming level difference, I can cut through deteriorated minotaurs with a single blow.
Well, what I’m trying to say is, “Reaper of the Dark Night” is strong, but “Walker of the Dark Night” is much stronger than I thought.
Even though there’s a transformation system, on that day, I truly believe I made the right choice by choosing “Walker of the Dark Night.” I’m just grateful to Lady Evans for that.
When in doubt, go straight ahead. I’ve decided to live by that motto.
Three forks in the road appear before me.
Of course — I choose the middle one!
…
…
It’s a dead end.
