Reincarnated as a Farmer Gamer: Rising to the Top with the Evolution of the Weakest Job that Only I Know About!? - 42.1
The entrance ceremony ended, and we entered the classroom.
There were fewer noble children than I had imagined, and there was no division into classes. It felt like everyone was in one class.
The classroom was designed like a university from my previous life, with a podium at the front and desks arranged in a circular fashion with steps, creating a viewing platform.
Although there were no designated seats, there seemed to be an implicit rule, and the children of barons and regular nobles neatly sat separately.
I didn’t know all the baronial children, but it was easy to spot them as they were members of the same dormitory room.
And of course, I received painfully harsh gazes from everyone, especially from the young lady.
The young lady and I were seated one row behind the front row. In front of us sat Diana-san, who had given a speech as the representative of the new students.
Wow… it’s so blatant…
Even so, her strong will to sit upright with a dignified attitude is commendable. Or perhaps she’s unaware of it.
No, she can’t be unaware.
The classroom door opened, and several teachers entered.
A slender middle-aged man stood at the front.
“Nice to meet you, students. We will be your teachers for the next year. I am Hamilton, primarily responsible for history and culture.”
There are no homeroom teachers; each subject has two teachers.
Among the young ladies, there are even those accompanied by knight princesses, who wait in the back of the classroom. This is quite intriguing as I am the same age as the young lady and thus attend as a student, but most other knight princesses have a considerable age difference and seem only to fulfill their duties without receiving education.
There is another teacher in the same genre as the one who introduced himself, plus another two teaching music, and two teaching art, although this latter group seems to be more about enjoying art rather than experiencing it. Furthermore, there are elective subjects: four teachers in charge of martial arts in general, and four teachers in charge of magic, indicating a strong emphasis on combat skills.
There are also arithmetic classes, tactics classes, and classes on magical beasts, among others.
Surprisingly, there are various types of classes, but the most interesting aspect is the class structure.
In my previous life, classes were divided into ninety-minute sessions, but here they are divided into morning and afternoon sessions, with all afternoon sessions being elective subjects.
Of course, it’s not continuous; there are breaks in between, but it’s quite an interesting format.
This morning, we just listened to the system of classes and school rules.
Lunch break.
All the students gathered in the dining hall.
Unfamiliar long benches were lined up, and it was predetermined where everyone would sit.
Whoever came up with this system…
As I was about to sit down, the young lady next to me asked me to change seats, so I did.
Oh well, it’s inevitable that I sit here…
Contrary to the assumption that everyone would eat together, it seemed that meals were served in order, without much concern about who sat where, and provisions started from the earl’s family around the young lady.
Even this is related to the status of the nobility. In ordinary schools, students are supposed to be equal! Isn’t that what they usually boast? The teachers were also very deferential to the young ladies.
“Beryl. Why are you looking around so much? Eat.”
“Yes…”
As I started eating, the damn young lady’s fiancé, who’s a bit of a mess, was drooling while looking diagonally at the young lady in front of him, and the red-haired representative of the new students sitting in front of the young lady and me was curiously looking back and forth at the young lady and me. I also feel the gaze of second-year and third-year seniors from behind.
