Reincarnated As An Ogre, I’m Going To Enjoy Life In This Other World! - Chapter 25
When I entered the royal capital, a world that looked like something out of a game unfolded before me.
“Whoa! This is amazing!”
I walk around, looking around with wide eyes, completely like a country bumpkin coming to the city for the first time.
“Kingil-dono, let’s head to the Adventurer’s Guild first.”
“The Adventurer’s Guild!”
(This is a word that really tickles my inner chuunibyou.)
I follow Tia and the others, feeling excited.
“This is the Adventurer’s Guild, Linebert branch!”
There was a two-story building that looked like a saloon from a western movie.
(Isn’t this called a Western saloon?)
It reminds me of the third movie in a series I watched once, where they travel to the past and future using a time machine.
When I opened the door and entered, there were round tables with chairs on the left, where adventurers were drinking and eating. On the right, there was a board with various papers pinned to it, and in the back, there was a counter with women in uniforms.
As I walked deeper into the room, the receptionist at the counter noticed Tia and the others and rushed over to us.
“Tia! I was really worried! You just ran off without warning!”
“I’m sorry…”
Tia shrank back, looking like a child being scolded.
“Oh? Who is this person?”
When the receptionist noticed me, she looked up at me.
“Ah, he’s the ogre from the information.”
“I see. Nice to meet you, I’m Marin, and I work as the receptionist here.”
Marin gave a graceful bow and greeted me.
“Nice to meet you as well. My name is Kingil, and I look forward to working with you.”
I bow in return.
“Hehe, I thought ogres were supposed to be a bit more rough, so this is a surprise.”
“Marin, that’s rude.”
Aisha says it in a way that seems like a gentle reprimand.
“Oh, I’m sorry. I apologize, Kingil-san.”
“No, no, it’s fine.”
“Marin, it seems he wants to become an adventurer.”
“Oh, is that so? In that case, I’ll guide you.”
Marin goes back to the counter, and I stand in front of it.
“Have you heard the explanation from Tia and the others?”
“Yes, I got the general idea.”
“I see. Then, let me give you a brief explanation.”
Then, I received a few basic pieces of advice from Marin about being an adventurer: adventurers are responsible for themselves, the guild doesn’t take responsibility if you die or get seriously injured, you start at E rank, so you can only take E rank requests at first, and so on.
“After this, there will be an interview with the guild master of our guild, so please wait for a moment.”
“What! An interview!?”
I’m taken aback by the sudden turn of events, and after waiting for a while, Marin calls out to me.
“Well then, Kingil-san, please follow me this way.”
With a nervous expression, I entered the room that I was guided to.
