Reincarnated as Twins: And Then, I Was the Only One Abandoned - ☆4 Aiming for Celestia
☆4 Aiming for Celestia
When I woke up, I was lying in bed.
No one was around.
I felt disoriented. I was unsure whether what had just happened was a dream or reality. But as I sat up and focused my gaze on my body, I saw it—
A dazzling glow surrounded me.
“…So, it wasn’t a dream.”
My head still felt light and hazy. But deep inside me, I could feel an overwhelming surge of energy.
This must be mana.
Unable to resist the lingering fatigue, I lay back down. I stared blankly at the ceiling.
After a while, Nactis walked into the room, carrying a canteen.
“Oh, you’re awake? How’re you feeling?”
“My head feels all floaty and dizzy… but my body’s practically overflowing with energy.”
I answered, still in a daze.
“Well, that’s not surprising. You were out cold for an entire day.”
Nactis sat down beside me, his expression serious.
“You realize how different your body is now, right? Do you feel anything new?”
I focused my vision again and observed my body.
“I can see this glowing light around me. That’s gotta be mana, right?”
“Yeah. And yours is insane—I’ve never seen anything shine that brightly.”
Compared to the mana surrounding Nactis, mine was incomparably stronger. It pulsed like a living entity, brimming with energy.
“This is… incredible. I’ve never seen mana like this before…”
Nactis stared at me with a mix of awe and respect.

I was truly grateful to the dark elf village.
They had raised me with kindness, and I owed them everything.
Honestly, I had always wanted to live a laid-back life. And this place was perfect for that.
But…
The desire to see the world beyond this village had been growing inside me, stronger every day.
Until now, I had never been allowed outside. Without mana, I would’ve been helpless against monsters. So it made sense.
But things were different now.
I trained daily with Nactis. I was learning the basics of mana manipulation while waiting for the right moment to bring it up.
Side note—my one and only complaint about life here was the food.
It was way too bland. Like eating monastery meals every day.
No fried chicken, no fried rice, no curry—nothing with that satisfying *punch* of flavor.
Then, one day, something unexpected happened.
I took down a Wisp Hound—a mid-tier magical beast—by myself.
All I did was punch it with mana-infused strength, and the thing collapsed in a single hit.
Wisp Hounds were sleek black-furred beasts with razor-sharp fangs. Their meat was surprisingly tender and tasted decent. But preparing them was a pain in the ass.
First, peeling off the dense fur was a struggle.
Then, their bones were ridiculously tough. It made the butchering process a workout in itself.
After some thought, I decided to bring this as a gift to the chieftain.
I marched to his house, carrying the freshly hunted beast.
“Chieftain, sorry to bother you. I have something I’d like to discuss.”
The dark elf chieftain looked young. But I had heard that he was over a thousand years old.
His bronze skin showed no signs of age. And his white hair gleamed like moonlight.
His deep, wise eyes seemed to hold an eternity’s worth of knowledge.
“What’s with the formality?”
He asked with a curious tilt of his head.
I took a deep breath and got straight to the point.
“I know this is sudden, but… I want to see the outside world.”
For a moment, the chieftain raised an eyebrow in mild surprise.
Then, he smiled.
“I see. Well, at this point, you’re strong enough to handle yourself. You’re free to go.”
That easy?!
I stood there, momentarily stunned by how smoothly he approved my request.
But then—
A heavy realization hit me.
I haven’t done anything to repay them.
They raised me, treated me like family… and I was just leaving.
A lump formed in my throat.
Struggling to find the right words, I could only bow deeply.
“Thank you… for taking me in. For raising me like your own. Without you, I wouldn’t be here.”
My voice trembled.
I fought back the burning sensation behind my eyes. I was determined not to cry.
The chieftain placed a firm yet gentle hand on my shoulder and gave a small nod.
Then, he walked over to a wooden cabinet, retrieved a small pouch, and handed it to me.
“Take this. It should be enough to get you started.”
Inside the pouch were several silver coins.
Feeling the weight of the coins in my hands, I was at a loss for words.
Instead, I silently bowed again. My heart was overflowing with gratitude.

On the day of my departure, Nactis smirked and said—
“Come back anytime. Though by then, I might’ve already forgotten about you.”
Hearing those words, I let out a wry smile.
Memories of the fifteen years we had spent together flashed through my mind as we firmly shook hands.
The warmth of Nactis’ hand spoke volumes about the bond we had built over the years.

It felt like I had been suddenly thrown out into the world—
Well, technically, I *chose* to leave.
But the further I got from the village, the more unease started creeping up on me.
………….Whatever.
Alright, what’s my first move?
I figured I’d register at the Adventurer’s Guild—seemed like the logical starting point.
After some thought, I decided to head toward Celestia. It was the neighboring territory next to Valford.
I chose to avoid Valford mainly because of Narumi. Since we’re twins and have the same face, I had a feeling sticking around there would just drag me into all sorts of unnecessary trouble.
I mean, the guy’s a noble, right?
Celestia, on the other hand, was said to be a land of vast grasslands and beautiful lakes, rich in nature.
My first goal: Register at the Adventurer’s Guild and find work.
I didn’t want to be stuck living in inns forever—I needed a place of my own.
Which meant I had to buy a house at some point.
But how much does it cost to build a house in the countryside?
I knew one thing for sure—I wanted to avoid crowded areas as much as possible.
But I had zero clue about real estate prices.
To be honest, I had never worked a job in my past life, not even a part-time gig—so making money was both intimidating and exciting at the same time.
