I asked, hoping to ease the tension on her stiff face. 

The cold night air drifted between us.

There was a hint of unease in her voice. 

It wasn’t fear of the vampires—it was concern over whether she could control the Demon God.

Before long, the village came into view.

We simply stared each other down. 

The air was heavy, thick with tension. 

The stillness of the night only made it more pronounced. 

Elysia channeled her mana into her ring— 

—And at the exact same moment, the vampires attacked without hesitation. 

Damn, they’re fast. 

I was caught a little off guard. 

I shouldn’t be judging them by human standards. 

On reflex, I grabbed Elysia’s arm and pulled her behind me. I blocked the violent strike aimed at her. 

I had reinforced my body with mana, so I only suffered a minor graze.

With a deafening roar, something massive appeared. 

Elysia had summoned Agni.

It’s bigger than usual. 

And its flames—no longer red—were tinged with black.

The infernal blaze surrounding its body was nothing short of hellfire. 

The black flames burned with an overwhelming heat. They distorted the air around them.

“Agni, exterminate these vampires. You may destroy the buildings as well.”

With that, Shin-Agni advanced toward the vampires.

Paying it no mind, Shin-Agni continued forward—

The surrounding vampires hesitated for only a brief moment. Before they lunged at Shin-Agni in droves. 

But before they could even touch it— 

—they, too, were reduced to ash. 

It was like watching moths dive into a bonfire. 

The black flames spread outward, engulfing everything. 

The searing heat and flickering light painted the village in madness. 

Each swing of Shin-Agni’s massive hand erased more vampires. Their agonized screams were ripping through the night. 

The stench of burning flesh filled the air. 

Amid the chaos and terror, we pressed forward. 

The massive, writhing mass of black fire moved through the village. It consumed everything in its path. 

The houses didn’t stand a chance—just being near the inferno caused them to ignite. 

The village became a sea of flames. 

From within the burning structures, vampires frantically burst out. And it was only to charge at Shin-Agni in desperation. 

Their numbers didn’t matter. The advance did not stop. 

Behind us, flashes of blinding light occasionally lit up the night like daytime. 

That must be Elios. 

He was taking care of any stragglers trying to escape the village.

Light and darkness swirled together. It created a scene straight out of hell.

Lilith stepped into Kistopia’s mansion. It was just as Orion had described. 

The hallway carried a heavy, oppressive atmosphere. 

She spoke toward the faintly glowing red eyes in the darkness. 

“Wow, things outside are getting pretty wild. Are you sure you don’t want to run?” 

The crimson eyes stared back at her, as if responding to her words. 

A flicker of anger burned within them. 

“Tch… I had only just established my stronghold, and you’ve gone and ruined everything.” 

Kistopia, the ruler of this village’s vampires, let out a deep sigh. 

Her long black hair bristled as her fury surged. She unleashed her mana, wrapping herself in a malevolent aura. 

The dark energy expanded like a blade slicing through the shadows. It filled the entire room. 

“Haha. Scary, scary. That elegant face of yours is all twisted up now.” 

With a smooth motion, Lilith drew her sword and took her stance. She had a fearless grin on her face. 

The sharp blade gleamed under the moonlight. 

“Well then, shall we get started with this vampire extermination?” 

Her usual carefree tone remained. But there was a firm resolve in her voice that shattered the silence. 

In that instant, the tension between them sharpened, thick with the weight of an inevitable clash— 

And the battle began.
