Rising to Power with Void Magic ~An Exiled Genius Magician Decides To Take Revenge With His New Friends and Create a Utopia~ - Episode 17
Several months had passed since Allen and his group returned to the town that once banished them.
Thanks to the amazing support of Void Magic, the talents of Elena, Garud, and Luna, and most of all, the townspeople’s decision to face their past and build a better future, the town had grown strong again.
The newly repaired and stronger walls kept monsters away. Goods flowed smoothly, and people lived better lives. The town was lively once more, and children smiled again. The people no longer feared Allen and his group. Instead, they saw them as heroes who saved the town and as leaders they could trust.
One day, Allen invited the town’s elder, the innkeeper, and some merchant leaders to the top of the clock tower, where they could see the whole town.
“…As you can see, the town has recovered. No, it might even be better than before,” Allen said quietly, looking down at the lively streets.
“The defenses are ready. Life is stable. The people have started to move on their own. I think… our help is no longer needed here.”
The old men were shocked and quickly tried to stop Allen.
“Sir Allen! What are you saying? This town could only recover because of your help!”
“That’s right! Please, keep leading us! As long as you’re here, the town will be safe!”
Their words came from true thanks and trust but Allen had already made up his mind.
“My goal isn’t just to help this one town.”
Allen spoke clearly.
“This town should now be protected and grown by your own hands. Even without me, you can do it. No… maybe it’s better if I’m not here. Then it will truly be your town.”
His words left no room for argument. The old men understood that his decision wouldn’t change. They felt sad but bowed deeply and spoke with sincere thanks.
“…We understand. We will never forget your kindness. Please stay safe.”
Allen nodded and turned away from them.
That night, Allen stood with his companions—Elena, Garud, and Luna—as they prepared for their next journey. The firelight shone on their serious faces.
“Our revenge against Gilbert is over, and the town has started to stand on its own,” Allen began quietly.
“But our fight isn’t over. No—this is where it truly begins.”
The three listened closely.
“The one I truly hate is not just Gilbert. It’s the system of this world that creates people like him… and turns people like us into victims. This world is full of twisted things—jealousy of talent, discrimination by birth, blind loyalty to power, and the laziness to ignore the truth.”
Anger lit up in Allen’s eyes again.
“I want to change that world. No—I will change it.”
His voice was full of strong determination.
“I want to create a place where no one is unfairly hurt, where hard work and talent are judged fairly. A place where everyone, no matter their birth or race, can choose their own path… a place like that should be normal, but it doesn’t exist anywhere. So ,we will build that ‘Utopia’ with our own hands.”
It sounded like a dream—too big and impossible. But Allen’s words carried true belief. And with his unique power of Void Magic, maybe he could really do it.
Allen looked straight at his three friends.
“This town taught me many things. How to use power not just to destroy. And… that I can’t do anything alone. So now I ask you again. Will you stay with me, through this long and difficult journey?”
The three nodded without hesitation.
“Of course,” Elena answered softly but firmly. The doubt she once had was gone. After spending time with Allen, she began to believe in his dream—and wanted to see where it would lead.
“Hell yeah! Building a perfect land? My dwarf bl00d’s boiling! Leave it to me—I’ll help make the best country ever!” Garud laughed loudly and hit his chest. His skills and passion had found a new purpose.
“Changing the rules of the world… nothing could be more exciting,” Luna smiled gently. Her wisdom and magic would surely light the way for them.
“…Thank you,” Allen said. His reply was short, but full of deep, honest gratitude.
His journey, which began with revenge, was now turning into a greater mission—one full of hardship, but also full of hope, made possible by the bonds he shared with his companions.
