- Episode 19 (Part 2) The Law of the Void and the Outer God - Towards the Open Sea
Several months had passed since Allen left the city that once exiled him.
Allen, Elena, Garud, and Luna were travelling across the continent. They were searching for a land where they could build their dream—Utopia, a place where no one would be treated unfairly and everyone’s worth would be respected.
But reality was harsh.
Every country they visited—rich or poor, large or small—had its own problems: corrupt rulers, endless wars, deep-rooted discrimination, and people suffering from poverty. The world still had the same dark soil that created people like Gilbert, just in different forms.
Allen and his friends were starting to realize how hard it was to build their ideal world within the existing systems of society.

“Maybe… this continent doesn’t have a place for us after all.”
Allen spoke quietly as he looked at a map of the continent spread out on a table in an inn by the sea. His words brought a heavy silence among his friends.
“You’re right,” Elena said while gazing out the window. “Every land has deep distortions. Even if we try to build something new, the old ways always get in the way…”
“Hmph… Building a utopia isn’t easy,” Garud said, folding his arms. “Maybe we should just find an uninhabited island and start from scratch!”
At that moment, Luna looked up from an old bundle of parchment she had been examining.
“Everyone… look at this.”
She pointed to a part of an ancient sea journal left behind by an old seafaring tribe. It spoke of an unknown ocean far east from the known lands, where even the stars were different. In those distant waters, there was a mysterious place called the “Continent of Mist.”
****
“The ‘Continent of Mist’… it sounds like a fairy tale, but I’ve found similar mentions in other ancient texts,” Luna explained. “There’s a theory that long ago, a continent became separated from the rest of the world for some unknown reason.”
“A continent that’s not on any map…”
Allen’s eyes began to shine with curiosity.
“That’s interesting. If no one knows about this land, then it has no old systems, no rules. Maybe we really can build our dream from nothing.”
“But it’s far too dangerous!” Elena protested. “It’s an unknown ocean. A continent that doesn’t exist on any map. We don’t even know if we’ll survive the journey!”
“I know it’s dangerous,” Allen said, “but it’s worth the risk. It’s better than chasing after impossible dreams on this continent.”
“A new continent, huh? Sounds exciting!” Garud grinned. “Who knows, we might find rare ores or legendary weapons left behind by ancient dwarves!”
Luna also looked eager. The idea of ancient knowledge buried in a forgotten land clearly excited her.
“…All right,” Elena finally said with a sigh. “If you’ve made your decision, I’ll follow you. But promise me—you won’t do anything reckless.”
And so, Allen and his friends set a new goal: to reach the unknown land beyond the sea.
*****
To cross the vast ocean, they needed a reliable ship.
Buying a used ship at the port was an option, but it wouldn’t survive such a long and dangerous voyage. More importantly, a normal ship couldn’t make full use of their unique powers.
That’s when Garud made a bold suggestion.
“How about we build one ourselves? Not just a regular ship. Allen, you’ve got that strange power… Void Magic, right? Let’s build a magic-powered ship using it!”
“A magic-powered ship? Is that possible?” Allen asked.
“Of course!” Garud nodded. “Leave the design to me. Allen, you’ll shape special materials with your magic. Luna will build magic circuits and navigation spells. Elena can use wind to help power it. With the four of us working together, we can build a ship that won’t lose to any storm or sea monster!”
The idea sounded reckless—but also exciting. A ship powered by their own magic and effort would truly represent their journey.
Allen agreed.
*****
They found a hidden bay near the port and spent weeks building the ship.
Garud stayed up nights drawing the blueprints. Allen used Void Magic to process special alloys taken from ruins. He shaped them with precision to create a strong and flexible hull.
Luna engraved fine magical circuits into the ship’s frame and added spirit-powered navigation systems and defence mechanisms.
Elena studied the winds and designed the perfect sail shapes and placements. Her wind magic turned air into a reliable power source.
Their knowledge, skills, and magic came together. Soon, they completed a sleek, beautiful ship that glowed with a mysterious light. Though medium-sized, it looked unlike any other vessel.
The hull was strengthened with space-bending enchantments and rare metal alloys. It was powerful in both physical and magical ways.
The engine used energy pulled from a subspace by Allen’s Void Magic, along with Elena’s wind magic. In theory, the ship could sail almost forever. It was truly a dream vessel.
After completing their dream ship, they prepared to set out for a long voyage.
They gathered food, fresh water, medicine, repair materials, and weapons. Most of it was stored in Allen’s Imaginal Space, a magical dimension that kept supplies fresh and saved space onboard.
Luna used old maps, sea charts, and star patterns to estimate possible routes to the unknown continent. It wasn’t perfect, but it was better than sailing blindly.
Elena monitored the skies to read weather patterns and ensure a safe path. Garud checked the ship carefully for any problems, leaving nothing to chance.
On the night of the new moon, with the world in deep darkness, their ship quietly slipped out of the hidden bay and into the open sea.
They named the ship Argonaut, placing all their hopes for the future into that name.
They left behind known waters and maps. Ahead lay only the wide, endless sea—and the unknown.
Onboard that small ship were four people with the power to change the world.
****
Allen stood on the deck, watching Elena at the front as she faced the wind. He used Void Magic to bend the space around the ship, reducing water resistance and allowing it to glide smoothly.
When storms and whirlpools appeared, he skilfully avoided them with his magic. Even when a giant sea serpent appeared, it stayed away—perhaps sensing the strange magic that surrounded the ship.
Luna used a sextant and star charts to keep their course.
“Adjust the course three degrees east,” she said. “If we keep going like this, we should reach the area called ‘Dragon’s Jaw’ by tomorrow night.”
“The engine’s running great!” Garud called from below. “Allen’s power really is something else!”
Each of the four did their part, working together in perfect harmony.
No one knew what lay ahead for them. Was the Continent of Mist real? Could they find their Utopia there?
For now, no one could say.
But one thing was certain—their new adventure had begun. Their challenge to change the world had truly started.
And the Argonaut, carrying their dreams, sailed steadily into the star-lit sky and vast mysteries of the unknown.
