Scarred Hearts — A Girls' Love Tale - Chapter 33
Luo Qinghan entered the house, went upstairs, and turned left. Out of habit, she pushed open the first door. That room used to be where Yan Shuangfei kept all her random belongings. But she had forgotten—ever since Yan Shuangfei went missing, the room had been cleared out and given to Ying Sha and the others. All of Yan’s things had been moved to the next room.
As soon as Luo Qinghan stepped inside, she felt something was off. The door had been left slightly open, which was unusual—normally, all the rooms were kept shut. She assumed a servant must have forgotten to close it after cleaning. Without thinking much, she walked straight into the bedroom.
She froze instantly, her face turning red in an awkward flush. Luo Qinghan was horrified by the scene in front of her and wished she could gouge out her own eyes.
From the bed came soft but unmistakable moans. The doctor and Ying Sha were tangled up on top of the sheets.
Ying Sha’s upper body was bare, lying flat on her back, while the doctor knelt between her legs. Her long hair, loose and flowing, hid her face, but it was obvious she was leaning down, planting soft kisses all over Ying Sha’s body. Ying Sha looked lost in the moment—eyes closed, hands wandering to the doctor’s back.
Luckily, the doctor hadn’t taken off her clothes yet, and Ying Sha was only undressed from the waist up. But it was very obvious the doctor’s hands had been quite busy, and there was a noticeable bulge in Ying Sha’s lower body.
The doctor reacted quickly. Within two seconds of Luo Qinghan standing frozen, she pulled her hand back and swiftly grabbed a blanket to cover Ying Sha. Ying Sha, half in a daze, gave a few unsatisfied whimpers after being interrupted, but obediently ducked under the covers. Then she opened her eyes, ready to ask what was going on—only to see Luo Qinghan frozen like a statue. She let out a scream, like a woman from ancient times who had lost her virtue, and pulled the blanket tightly around her. Her face turned red, and soon even her ears were glowing bright.
Compared to Ying Sha, the doctor stayed much calmer. With composure, she flipped her hair back and asked, “Miss Luo, is there something you need?”
Luo Qinghan backed away, stammering, “Oh… oh… I’m so sorry… I went into the wrong room…” She apologized while trying to escape. The doctor’s hand still shimmered with an odd wetness. “You two… carry on!” Luo Qinghan blurted out, then turned and ran out, pulling the door shut behind her.
As the door closed, she thought she heard another faint sound—something that could’ve been pain, or pleasure.
Stay calm, stay calm! Luo Qinghan kept telling herself. Still, she couldn’t help but think: Ying Sha really is the bottom in the relationship, huh?
In a flurry, she packed a few changes of clothes and rushed to the hospital. She couldn’t let Shuang’er wait too long—it would be a pain to coax her if she got upset again. The thought made her lips curl into a small smile. Her expression showed a mix of tenderness and deep, unshakable love.
But when she arrived at the hospital entrance, something felt wrong. The atmosphere was unusually tense. The usual people coming and going to keep up appearances had all vanished. Alarm bells went off in Luo Qinghan’s mind. She quickly got out of the car and hurried to Yan Shuangfei’s hospital room.
Along the way, she saw many men in suits, but their faces were unfamiliar—and clearly not friendly. These weren’t her people.
Luo Qinghan forced herself to stay calm, composed her expression, and casually approached Yan Shuangfei’s room. As expected, two men with unfriendly expressions blocked her from entering.
“Miss, please stop. This room belongs to the Yan family,” they said coldly.
Luo Qinghan raised her chin slightly and replied with poise, “I booked this room.”
Their expressions changed, and just then, the door opened. Out walked the last person Luo Qinghan ever wanted to see—the one she had every reason to hate: Yan Huaiyuan.
His face was grim as he stared straight at Luo Qinghan. She knew she had no excuse when it came to what had happened to Yan Shuangfei, but she didn’t flinch. She stood tall and met his gaze head-on.
Silence.
Yan Huaiyuan’s face darkened even more. At last, he couldn’t hold back his anger and shouted, “Do you realize how far she’s gone for you?! How could you bear to hurt her like that?!”
He must’ve seen the whip marks on Shuang’er’s back.
“She insisted on being with you, always causing trouble—I let it slide. But she’s my only granddaughter! How could you let her get hurt this badly?!”
Yan Huaiyuan raised his cane and struck Luo Qinghan hard in the stomach. The pain forced her to crouch down, clutching her abdomen. But he didn’t stop. He kept hitting her back with the cane as she bent over.
Sweat poured from her face as pain shot through her body. But Luo Qinghan didn’t make a sound, nor did she try to avoid the blows. She took it all—like punishment she deserved.
After a long while, the beating stopped. Luo Qinghan forced herself to stand up straight, holding back groans of pain. She looked at Yan Huaiyuan and said, “I respect you as Shuang’er’s elder. I’ll take those hits as my apology. But aside from Shuang’er, no one has the right to punish me.”
She paused, biting her lip, then continued, “So now, please let me go in.”
“Absolutely not!” Yan Huaiyuan shouted. “I let it happen once, but there won’t be a second time! Look what you’ve done to her! She’s nothing but a cripple now! A useless cripple! Do you even realize that? What more harm do you want to bring her?!”
Luo Qinghan knew it wouldn’t help to force her way in. Calling her people would only lead to a bloodbath. And at the moment, she couldn’t think of any solution. So she stood her ground at the door, refusing to leave.
Yan Huaiyuan was furious, but he didn’t dare use more force. He knew just how deeply his granddaughter loved this woman. If Yan Shuangfei ever got her memories back, who knew what she might do out of love?
His concerns weren’t unfounded. Inside the hospital room, chaos was already breaking out.
“Let me out! I heard her voice!” Yan Shuangfei struggled to get off the bed.
“Miss Yan, please—you can’t go. The old master said you’re not allowed to see that woman again,” the bodyguards tried to stop her, looking equally distressed.
“Why should I listen to him?! I can like whoever I want!” Yan Shuangfei exploded with anger. Ignoring her injuries, she threw herself off the bed. The IV needle ripped from her hand as she hit the floor, tearing her skin and drawing bright red bl00d.
