Scarred Hearts — A Girls' Love Tale - Chapter 40
As soon as Ying Sha spoke, Kuai Shou’s expression immediately changed. Her heavy breathing was clearly audible in Ying Sha’s ears. Ying Sha nimbly dodged the knife Kuai Shou threw, placed her hands on the table, flipped, and landed right in front of Kuai Shou. The knife in her hand stabbed toward Kuai Shou, whose left hand instinctively grabbed the blade, while her right hand moved down to her waist and suddenly pulled out another knife.
Ignoring the bl00d dripping from her left hand, Kuai Shou fought desperately. She didn’t want to die—not at all.
But Ying Sha thought coldly, she was just a dying force. Ying Sha’s right hand had just been cut, the wound was bleeding heavily.
Ying Sha aimed carefully at Kuai Shou’s wrist and stabbed hard, pinning her wrist to the table.
Kuai Shou cried out in pain. Ying Sha had already pulled out her knife without hesitation and stabbed through Kuai Shou’s heart.
Ying Sha knelt on the ground, still holding the knife, which was deeply stuck in Kuai Shou’s body. Only after confirming she was dead did Ying Sha pull the knife out. Thick, sticky bl00d clung to the blade, almost congealed.
At that moment, the door opened.
A little girl stood at the doorway, holding a toy: “Mommy, come here for a second.”
Ying Sha panicked, quickly stood up, walked in front of the girl, blocking her view.
“Sister, where’s my mom? Tell her to come here,” the girl tugged on Ying Sha’s clothes.
Ying Sha let out a barely audible sigh, crouched down, and whispered hoarsely, “Listen, your mom did something wrong to me, and I came for revenge. And when you grow up, you can come find me for revenge too—I’ll be waiting.” Whether the girl understood or not didn’t matter. Ying Sha stood up, her breath fogging her mask, making her uncomfortable.
Half coaxing, half pushing, Ying Sha led the girl into the room softly, telling her, “We’ll play hide and seek. You can’t leave this room, or else your mom will find you.”
The girl obediently nodded. Ying Sha breathed a sigh of relief and stepped outside but stopped at the door, not leaving until a figure appeared.
“You’ve become so poor you can’t even afford a knife?” Ying Sha walked side by side with the person, who held Kuai Shou’s knife in hand.
“This is a good knife,” the person admired. “Look at the craftsmanship, the blade shape, and it’s a black blade—definitely not cheap.”
“That’s the knife Kuai Shou always used. How could it be bad?” Ying Sha said coldly.
“Trophy. This is a trophy,” the person emphasized. “If you don’t want it, I’ll keep it as a souvenir. You’re my only friend after all.” Ying Sha wanted to roll her eyes right then.
“Seriously,” the person said, their tone turning serious as they both took off their masks and sat on a park bench. Ying Sha’s rough hand was bandaged and covered with a breathable glove. “If you don’t finish this completely, the weeds will grow back with the spring wind. If that girl really comes back for revenge when you’re old, what will you do if you get killed?”
“I accept that,” Ying Sha said calmly. “I never expected a good ending when I chose this path. I carry too much bl00d debt. Today I seek revenge, tomorrow others will come for me. It’s a cycle. My fate is up to heaven.”
The other person noticed the helplessness in Ying Sha’s voice and fell silent. Seeing the heavy mood, Ying Sha asked, “Did Chengzi send you?”
“Originally, she wanted Xue Ren to come. She was worried you’d be careless and get killed, and then she’d be a widow,” the person joked. “But I’m bored to death, and my body is lazy. If I don’t find something to do, I’ll get internal injuries from holding it all in.”
“Isn’t that because you’ve been playing her around so much?” Ying Sha smiled. “By the way, if you’re free next time, help me out.”
“You want to use cheap labor?” The person pretended to jump back dramatically. “No, free labor.”
“Screw you,” Ying Sha laughed and scolded. “Next time I’m picking the place—come with me to the Central Courtyard Entertainment Club.”
“As far as I know, that place is a pretty big force. What, you want to borrow my people?” The person frowned.
“Yes,” Ying Sha agreed.
“Life is too good—I don’t want to get beaten up,” the person refused immediately.
“I still have some aphrodisiac incense,” Ying Sha whispered.
Without hesitation, the person said, “Deal!”
When Luo Qinghan got home, Yan Shuangfei was sitting at the dining table waiting for her to eat. Ying Sha and the doctor were in the living room, with the doctor kneeling in front of Ying Sha, sewing up her wound.
“It hurts!” Ying Sha complained.
“You got anesthetic; what are you pretending for?” The doctor tossed the bloodied towel into clean water, then carefully wrapped the wound with gauze.
Ying Sha obediently closed her mouth. After the doctor finished dressing the wound, Ying Sha went over to the table to eat.
The four of them sat around the table, and the atmosphere was a bit awkward.
Yan Shuangfei ate very little, just counting a few grains of rice. The doctor and Ying Sha finished quickly but didn’t leave immediately.
Ying Sha looked at Yan Shuangfei with interest and said, “How’s it going with you and Luo Qinghan in bed?”
Yan Shuangfei looked up, confused, then glanced at Luo Qinghan, whose face immediately flushed red. She had the urge to shut Ying Sha’s mouth.
“Do you know what ‘love affair’ means?” Ying Sha’s voice was tempting, like a big bad wolf trying to lure Little Red Riding Hood.
Yan Shuangfei frowned in confusion, stopped eating, leaned back in her chair, and looked at Ying Sha curiously.
Ying Sha got even more excited. Luo Qinghan watched Ying Sha teasing her Shuang’er again and helplessly turned her back to silently block it.
Shuang’er is already this dumb, Ying Sha, stop messing with her.
Luo Qinghan looked speechless and sought help from the doctor. The doctor leaned back on a chair, seemingly lost in thought, then, probably because of Luo Qinghan’s gaze, opened her eyes and looked toward her.
Ying Sha kept explaining what “love affair” meant. Luo Qinghan never wanted to understand the innuendo any more than she already didn’t.
Yan Shuangfei sneaked a glance and saw the doctor silently approach Ying Sha from behind. Ying Sha seemed unaware of the danger and continued setting the mood and dropping hints.
Then…
The doctor struck Ying Sha with a hand chop, knocking her out. She grabbed Ying Sha’s collar and dragged her limp body out.
Then she coldly said to Luo Qinghan and Yan Shuangfei:
“Xi’er doesn’t understand. I’ll teach her a lesson for you.”
Luo Qinghan had to admit she was evil. Ever since she saw that scene last time, she seriously wondered what kind of “lesson” or “punishment” the doctor meant!
