Scarred Hearts — A Girls' Love Tale - Chapter 6
Realizing her own embarrassment, Luo Qinghan quickly shut her mouth, letting her long black hair fall over her face to hide her burning cheeks.
Yan Shuangfei’s free hand, however, began to glide upward along Luo Qinghan’s curves, resting on her chest. Through the fabric, she gently teased.
“You’re not wearing anything underneath… Were you planning to seduce me all along?”
“Stop…” Luo Qinghan pleaded softly, her voice trembling with a hint of tears, stirring pity.
“Hm?” Yan Shuangfei leaned close, her breath brushing against Luo Qinghan’s ear. By now, Luo Qinghan’s ears had turned a deep red, as if they might start dripping bl00d.
Unable to resist, Yan Shuangfei lightly nibbled on Luo Qinghan’s earlobe, her palm clearly sensing the firmness beneath the thin barrier of clothing.
“Not here…” Luo Qinghan’s voice wavered.
Understanding the meaning behind her words, Yan Shuangfei scooped Luo Qinghan into her arms and carried her back to the bedroom. Along the way, her intense kisses muffled the soft moans that Luo Qinghan couldn’t suppress.
Their tongues intertwined, exchanging saliva in a way that left them both yearning for more. In her arms, Luo Qinghan’s flushed face glowed with an irresistible allure, ignited by desire.
The sheets beneath them were silky smooth, while the passion of the one above her seemed endless. How many times had Luo Qinghan reached the peak of pleasure? She no longer knew. Her mind blurred as her body instinctively matched Yan Shuangfei’s rhythm.
Eventually, exhausted, Luo Qinghan clung tightly to Yan Shuangfei before finally succumbing to deep sleep.
Yan Shuangfei’s hand tenderly brushed over Luo Qinghan’s sleeping face. In slumber, Luo Qinghan appeared so serene and gentle, yet her presence exuded a devilish aura of contradiction.
Rising quietly, Yan Shuangfei slipped on a shirt without bothering to button it and threw on a pair of black pants before stepping out of the room.
Leaning against the wall just outside the door, she lit a cigarette with practiced ease. As the smoke curled around her, she fell into deep thought.
The Yan family cannot fall. It’s my duty as head of the family to protect it. But I can’t hurt Qinghan again. Her recent moves—snatching businesses and territory—make it clear she sees this as a life-or-death struggle. If I don’t act soon, I won’t be able to explain myself to Grandfather.
Yan Shuangfei furrowed her brows, taking a few deep drags from her cigarette before exhaling heavily. Just then, she heard the sound of the door opening behind her.
Startled, she instinctively extinguished the cigarette, stomping on it to hide the evidence, and stood with a sheepish, innocent expression, pretending to admire the view. Yan Shuangfei knew Luo Qinghan disliked her smoking.
Luo Qinghan’s face was stormy as she approached, fixing Yan Shuangfei with a piercing gaze. Feeling guilty, Yan Shuangfei lowered her head, her eyes darting around nervously.
“I thought you were asleep,” she mumbled softly.
“I just changed the sheets. They were uncomfortable,” Luo Qinghan replied, her face tinged with a slight blush, unintentionally veering off-topic. Yan Shuangfei perked up, her face lighting with hope and joy. If she still had the energy to change sheets, maybe… maybe she could handle one more round.
Yan Shuangfei’s eyes roved over Luo Qinghan, her loosely draped nightgown offering tantalizing glimpses. Unable to resist her desires, Yan Shuangfei felt her lust surge again. But before she could act, Luo Qinghan’s face darkened, and she stomped on Yan Shuangfei’s foot with all her strength.
The pain was excruciating. Yan Shuangfei nearly cried, her eyes misting as she looked at Luo Qinghan with an expression full of grievance.
“You think I’m stupid, don’t you?” Luo Qinghan jabbed a finger at Yan Shuangfei’s forehead before curling her knuckle and delivering a solid flick.
“Ouch…” Yan Shuangfei instinctively covered her head and whimpered, but seeing Luo Qinghan’s stern expression, she obediently dropped her hands, allowing her to continue flicking without resistance.
“You think you can fool me? I can smell it a mile away,” Luo Qinghan scolded, her flicks coming in rapid succession. “You’re not a child anymore. Smoking is bad for your health! Are you trying to die early?”
Yan Shuangfei couldn’t help but groan internally. Do you think my head’s a drum?
“Smoking will kill you! Haven’t you heard? It’s a slow death. If you’re in such a hurry to meet the King of Hell, there are faster ways,” Luo Qinghan continued her tirade, her tone brimming with righteous indignation. She seemed ready to launch into a full-blown lecture on the dangers of smoking and its catastrophic consequences.
“I was wrong! I’ll quit!” Yan Shuangfei surrendered, raising both hands in defeat. She even pulled a pack of cigarettes from her pocket and handed it over to Luo Qinghan, her actions exaggerated for effect. Then, with a cheeky grin, she leaned close to Luo Qinghan’s ear and whispered, “So… does this mean you care about me?”
“Care about you?” Luo Qinghan froze for a moment. Would I care about her? About my enemy? Impossible. I want her dead. Keeping her close is just a game—my way of ensuring she suffers before the end.
Seeing the shift in Luo Qinghan’s expression, Yan Shuangfei’s smile dimmed imperceptibly, and she let out a sigh so quiet she barely heard it herself. Yet, Luo Qinghan’s heartstrings seemed to resonate with the faint sorrow emanating from her.
Yan Shuangfei quickly replaced her sadness with a beaming smile. Stretching lazily, she pushed open the bedroom door and collapsed onto the bed.
The next morning, the sunlight filtered gently into the room.
On the pristine white sheets, two figures lay entwined, their hair tangled together in peaceful harmony.
Luo Qinghan slowly opened her eyes, blinking to adjust to the sudden brightness. Yan Shuangfei was still fast asleep, one hand resting over Luo Qinghan’s chest, her fingers lightly cupping her soft curves.
Blushing, Luo Qinghan carefully moved Yan Shuangfei’s hand aside before getting out of bed and dressing quietly. She headed downstairs with light steps.
Shuangfei doesn’t seem like a crime lord at all, Luo Qinghan mused. She’s more like a carefree girl without a care in the world. But for her to earn the old master’s approval, she can’t be as simple as she appears.
Unbeknownst to her, Yan Shuangfei was already awake. Years of living in the shadows had sharpened her instincts to detect even the slightest changes in her surroundings.
Letting out a silent sigh, Yan Shuangfei threw off the covers and, despite the lingering chill in the air, went downstairs in her pajamas.
Dressed impeccably in a professional outfit, Luo Qinghan was eating breakfast with elegance and poise. Hearing movement, she glanced up and wasn’t surprised to see Yan Shuangfei.
With an awkward smile, Yan Shuangfei sat down beside her, rubbing her hands together. “Isn’t today Sunday? Everyone knows weekends are for relaxing.”
By then, Luo Qinghan had finished her meal. Arching an eyebrow, she replied, “Not everyone is like you, neglecting their responsibilities. If I take a day off, who’s going to handle the work piling up?”
Yan Shuangfei pouted, muttering under her breath, “Sounds like your Luo Corporation needs better systems.”
Her words struck a nerve. Luo Qinghan’s anger flared. “I let your smoking slide, and now you’re wasting my time and talking back?”
Yan Shuangfei knew she’d crossed a line. Sensing the tension in the air, she shrank back, looking genuinely remorseful. But deep inside, she still grumbled silently. I wasn’t wrong, though.
