School Flower and School Tyrant - Chapter 3:
“Well then, now that we’ve met, let me take you to complete the admission procedures and give you a tour of the school,” Wang Qian said as she led Qianxue into the campus.
The moment Qianxue stepped onto the school grounds, she was awestruck by the environment. The campus featured an elegant European architectural style, with every plant and flower arranged in meticulous harmony.
“This… is a school? It’s practically a garden!”
“Heh, if you’re amazed now, you’re in for a surprise. We’ve only just stepped through Sakura’s gates,” Wang Qian teased with a smug expression.
“Is… is that so?” Qianxue muttered nervously, realizing this would be her world for the next three years.
“Look over there!”
“Wow, what a stunning girl!”
Students along the path began to notice Qianxue one after another. With her radiant golden hair and perfectly symmetrical features, she stood out like a beacon, impossible to ignore.
“Am I weird or something?” Qianxue whispered anxiously to Wang Qian, noticing the countless stares directed at her.
“It’s not weird, you’re dazzling. Ugh, I’m so jealous. How do you get skin this perfect?” Wang Qian muttered, glaring at Qianxue’s face and poking her cheek with an exaggerated pout.
“And these eyelashes, those big eyes, why is it that all the features I’ve always dreamed of having ended up on a guy? It’s so unfair!”
“Okay, okay, you’re pretty too. Now, let’s stop this, alright?”
“Pretty? Me?” Wang Qian suddenly blushed, caught off guard.
“Pretty. Beautiful. Absolutely gorgeous,” Qianxue replied hurriedly, hoping to appease her.
“Liar!” Wang Qian huffed, pinching Qianxue sharply on the waist.
“Too perfunctory!” she complained, storming off ahead while Qianxue followed behind, rubbing her waist with a pitiful expression.
“Morning, Wang Qian!”
Several classmates waved and greeted Wang Qian as the two entered the school building.
“Hey, who’s that beauty next to you?” Some of the girls whispered curiously, while the boys craned their necks to eavesdrop.
“Oh, her? She’s a distant relative of mine, Ouyang Qianxue. She’s transferring to Sakura today, and I’m helping her get settled,” Wang Qian explained casually.
“Good morning,” Qianxue greeted politely, nodding to Wang Qian’s classmates.
“A transfer student, huh? That explains it. There’s no way someone so gorgeous wouldn’t have caught our attention before!”
“You’re too kind,” Qianxue replied with a faint smile, though inwardly he groaned. Being called gorgeous wasn’t exactly his idea of a compliment, he was still very much a boy.
After completing the admission procedures, Qianxue found herself standing nervously outside her new classroom, Class 1-6.
Inside the classroom, the homeroom teacher stepped onto the podium.
“Today, we have a new student joining us. Let’s welcome her as she begins studying with us,” the teacher announced.
“A transfer student? Isn’t Sakura’s curriculum incredibly challenging? The transfer exams are even tougher than the entrance exams!”
Students began whispering among themselves at the news.
“Hey, do you think it’s that person? I overheard someone in another class talking about seeing a blonde girl who looked as stunning as a celebrity earlier today. Could it be her?”
“Really?” The boys perked up in excitement.
“So shallow,” a girl muttered disdainfully, rolling her eyes at the eager boys.
“Look at Bai Yuxuan, he’s completely unbothered. Now that’s how a real man should act. Unlike you lot, behaving like lovesick fools,” she added, casting a starry-eyed glance at Bai Yuxuan.
At his desk, Bai Yuxuan remained engrossed in his book, seemingly oblivious to the chatter around him. His calm demeanor earned him adoration from some and envy from others.
“Who are you calling fools? Your eyes are practically glued to Bai Yuxuan!” one of the boys shot back, eliciting laughter from the class.
With the room buzzing with curiosity and anticipation, Qianxue took a deep breath. Here we go, she thought, stepping through the classroom door.
“What did you just say?!”
“Alright, enough arguing. Let’s welcome our new classmate,” the teacher interrupted, restoring order to the classroom.
“Ouyang, please come in.”
As soon as the teacher finished speaking, a golden-haired girl stepped into the classroom. The air seemed to freeze instantly.
“My name is Ouyang Qianxue. For the next three years, I’ll be studying alongside all of you. Please take care of me!”
After her self-introduction, Qianxue raised her head slightly, only to find her classmates staring at her in stunned silence. Her heart began to race.
(Is there something strange about me? Has my disguise been discovered?!)
As Qianxue stood there nervously, a male student finally broke the silence, stammering, “S-she’s so cute!”
His words acted like a match igniting dry timber, within moments, the boys in the classroom erupted in excitement.
“Oh my god! Did a celebrity transfer into our class?”
“I declare that, from now on, Ouyang Qianxue is my goddess!”
“Ouyang, do you have a boyfriend?”
“What’s your ideal type?”
Faced with this barrage of enthusiasm, Qianxue offered an embarrassed smile.
“Sorry, I’m currently single, but I want to focus on my studies. I don’t plan on dating during high school.”
“Oh, I see…” Some of the boys slumped in disappointment, while others continued to stare at her with determined gazes.
Feeling their intense attention, Qianxue began to sweat profusely.
At that moment, the teacher intervened again.
“While our school fosters a free-spirited learning environment and doesn’t strictly prohibit relationships, a student’s main duty is to study. Since Ouyang wishes to focus on her academics, you boys should behave like gentlemen and avoid making her uncomfortable.”
“Yes, teacher…” The boys sighed in unison, their spirits dampened.
“Now, let’s see… where should Ouyang sit?” The teacher scanned the classroom briefly.
“Ah, there’s an empty seat next to Bai Yuxuan. That student has been on long-term leave, so you can take that spot.”
“Understood. Thank you, teacher.”
Qianxue began walking toward her designated seat.
As she approached, the girls in the class erupted into whispers.
“Ugh, that seat was supposed to be off-limits to everyone!”
“I can’t believe our unspoken agreement was so easily broken by the transfer student!”
Jealous eyes followed Qianxue as she moved to her seat.
“This is a disaster! Letting Ouyang sit next to Bai Yuxuan is like sending a lamb into a tiger’s den!” a boy groaned, clutching his head in despair.
“Seriously! Why does that guy always get the good stuff?”
“Exactly! Practically all the pretty girls in the school already like him. We finally had a chance with Ouyang, but now…” The boys looked like they had just witnessed the end of the world.
“Please take care of me, Bai Yuxuan,” Qianxue said politely as she settled into her seat.
Bai Yuxuan, however, barely glanced up from his book. He simply nodded and responded with a curt “Mm” before returning to his reading.
Qianxue let out a small sigh of relief, grateful for at least one person who wasn’t openly gawking at her.
And so, her first day at Sakura International School continued, filled with both anticipation and unease.
