School Flower and School Tyrant - Chapter 5
Chapter 5: End of the Club Tour
After leaving the Go Club, Ouyang Qianxue was dragged by his classmates to visit several other arts-related clubs.
For someone like Qianxue, who had spent eight years rigorously honing his talents and possessed natural aptitude, these activities were effortless. Whether it was poetry appreciation, flower arranging, or painting, he excelled with ease, leaving the surrounding students in awe.
“Oh my gosh, Qianxue isn’t just beautiful, but also so talented. Even as a girl myself, I think I’m becoming her fan!”
“Yeah, I totally get how you feel,” the others whispered in admiration.
Soon, Qianxue arrived at the Music Club, guided by his classmates.
When it came to music, Qianxue’s first thought was always the piano. It was his true passion and something he genuinely loved. As the saying goes, “Interest is the best teacher,” and Qianxue’s mastery of the piano was unparalleled. Even the prestigious piano instructor hired by the noblewoman who had taken him in was amazed by his skills.
The opening prelude of his performance immediately captivated everyone in the club. By the time he finished the piece, even the Music Club’s advisor had become an ardent admirer of his music.
After agreeing to represent the club in national competitions, Qianxue moved on to the Volleyball Club, the last stop of his club tour.
When Qianxue arrived, two female club members led him to the locker room.
“Wh-why are we going to the locker room?” Qianxue asked, blushing as he stood at the entrance.
“What kind of question is that, Qianxue? Are you planning to play volleyball in your school uniform?”
It was true that Qianxue’s outfit, a short skirt paired with tights, was hardly ideal for sports. While not restrictive, it wasn’t exactly practical for athletic activity either.
“But… I haven’t received my gym uniform yet,” Qianxue said hesitantly.
“That’s fine! You can borrow mine,” one of the girls said, opening her locker and handing him a set of girls’ sportswear.
Reluctantly, Qianxue accepted the outfit.
“Why aren’t you changing, Qianxue?” the other girl asked, noticing his hesitation.
“I… well…”
At that moment, Qianxue felt as though he was facing the greatest crisis of his life. A grown man, changing in a girls’ locker room in front of two girls? The thought alone was mortifying.
“Ah, I get it. You’re not comfortable changing with people watching, right? We’ll step out and wait for you,” the girl said kindly, pulling her companion out of the room.
“Phew, saved,” Qianxue muttered as he quickly began to change.
Just as he removed his shirt, the first girl unexpectedly returned.
“Ah!” Qianxue yelped in surprise.
“Oops, sorry! I forgot my water bottle,” the girl said casually, grabbing the bottle from a nearby bench.
“But wow, Qianxue, your skin is really enviable. Your back is so smooth and fair, it’s like white jade!”
“You… you’re exaggerating…”
“Alright, I’ll leave you to it,” she said with a smile, walking out again.
“Why me? What did I do in a past life to deserve this level of embarrassment?” Qianxue groaned as he exhaled deeply.
Three minutes later, Qianxue emerged, dressed in long sports pants, and headed to the gymnasium. By now, a crowd had gathered. Word had spread about Qianxue’s talents, and even students from other classes had come to watch.
“What? She’s wearing long pants!” The boys in the crowd groaned in disappointment upon seeing Qianxue’s outfit.
“Why, Qianxue? I even gave you shorts! Isn’t it a waste to hide your slender figure like that?” one of the girls lamented.
“Well, I just find long pants more comfortable,” Qianxue replied, shrugging.
“Hey! You’re the Ouyang Qianxue from Class 6, right?”
A tall girl from the opposing team stepped forward, towering over Qianxue.
“That’s right. I am,” Qianxue answered calmly.
“Hmph, don’t think you can get away with flaunting your looks and shamelessly flirting with Bai Yuxuan. I heard you even stole the seat next to him!”
“Huh? Why would I try to flatter that cold-faced, expressionless guy? Besides, it was the teacher who assigned me the seat,” Ouyang Qianxue retorted calmly.
“Ugh! Are you trying to show off?”
Without another word, the tall girl viciously spiked the volleyball toward Qianxue’s face. But with a simple raise of his hand, Qianxue effortlessly deflected the ball.
“Uh-oh, Ouyang sent the ball too high!”
Before anyone could react, the tall girl had already rushed to the net.
“Take this!” she shouted, preparing for a powerful spike. Given Qianxue’s height of only 1.6 meters, she assumed he couldn’t possibly block her shot. Confidently, she struck the ball, only to freeze in disbelief as Qianxue’s face appeared directly in front of hers at the net.
“What?!”
“That’s incredible! I can’t believe Ouyang has such an amazing vertical jump!”
With a stunning block, Qianxue’s move became the highlight of the match, etching itself as the most unforgettable moment in the hearts of the onlookers.
After finishing his visit to the Volleyball Club, Qianxue unsurprisingly received an invitation to join. However, he firmly declined, citing that volleyball practice would take up too much time and he wanted to focus on his studies.
(As if I’d actually join the Volleyball Club! Forget the physicals for competitions, even just the team’s communal changing rooms would blow my cover.)
The mere thought of being exposed sent shivers down Qianxue’s spine.
As the day transitioned into evening, Qianxue made his way to the agreed meeting spot, where Wang Qian was already waiting for him.
“Sorry!” Qianxue called out as he jogged up to her. “I kept you waiting when you were supposed to show me to the dorm.”
“Well, that’s what happens when you let yourself get roped into a club tour so easily,” Wang Qian teased.
“Ugh~”
“Seriously, your inability to say no is going to get you in trouble someday,” she said with a sigh as they headed toward the student apartments.
“But hey, today was pretty productive for you,” Wang Qian remarked.
“Productive?” Qianxue tilted his head, puzzled.
“Did you forget your mission?”
“Nope. It’s to become the most popular girl at Sakura Academy,” Qianxue replied confidently.
“Exactly. After today, I’m sure you’ll become the school’s hottest topic. Becoming the most popular girl will just be a matter of time.”
“No way! All I did was visit a few clubs,” Qianxue protested.
“Ugh, you’re so oblivious,” Wang Qian groaned, facepalming. “Sakura’s clubs are nationally renowned. The ones you visited today are some of the best and frequently win national awards. Do you even realize what it means for all of them to extend invitations to you?”
“Wait, it’s that big of a deal?”
Dormitory Surprise
Their conversation carried them to the dormitory entrance.
“Let’s see, my room is 405,” Qianxue said as he fished for his key. But before he could unlock the door, another key swiftly turned the lock.
“Wang Qian, why do you have a key to my dorm?”
“Oh, didn’t I mention? Sakura Academy has double-occupancy dorms. And since I need to keep an eye on your every move, my aunt pulled some strings to have us assigned to the same room,” Wang Qian explained nonchalantly.
“What?!”
The realization hit Qianxue like a truck—this arrangement meant sharing a dorm with a girl! His face flushed a deep crimson, resembling a ripe tomato.
“What’s with the reaction? Oh~ don’t tell me you’re planning something naughty while living with me?” Wang Qian teased with a devilish grin.
“Of course not! And it’s not living together—it’s just sharing a dorm!” Qianxue exclaimed, steam practically rising from his head.
