- She Banished Me Yesterday, But Today She Calls Me Master?
- Episode 10 - The Fate of Adventurer Garm
In one of the rooms of the Adventurers’ Guild, Flugel was harshly scolding Garm, who—for some reason—was battered and bruised.

“You fool! Why did you lay hands on a civilian?! We of The Banquet of the End are not common thugs!”
“I’m sorry! That slave was just… too beautiful… But the one who was with her…”
Garm trailed off as he tried to reveal the identity of the person he tangled with. His silence only irritated Flugel further.

“What are you mumbling about? There’s no reason we adventurers would ever cross paths with the intellectuals from the Magic Academy.”
Flugel cut him off coldly, glaring at him.

“More importantly, why are you so beaten up? And why is your adventurer’s badge destroyed? Don’t tell me you lost… to a mere schoolteacher?”
Her eyes fell to the shattered remains of Garm’s badge—crafted from the rare metal orichalcum. It was proof of his status as an S-rank adventurer, a symbol of honor.
To have it destroyed was the ultimate disgrace.

“N-No! It wasn’t like that! I was walking down a dark path and got attacked by a woman in a cloak…”
Garm trembled violently, clearly still terrified. Flugel stared at him with cold, unfeeling eyes.

“Not only did you disgrace the dignity of an S-rank adventurer, but you lost to some unknown assailant? Pathetic. Get out. You no longer have the right to call yourself a Beast of the End.”
“W-Wait! That woman was incredibly strong—”
“If you don’t leave now, I’ll kill you myself.”
“Eeeek!!”
Terrified, Garm fled the room in a panic. After he was gone, Flugel turned her gaze to the window. Her eyes gleamed with a strange, unsettling light.

“Asto… where are you? Why did you leave without telling me anything?”
She gently stroked a broken sword displayed with care on the wall. It was a memento of a promise made with his closest friend—only half remained now.

“Since that day you left me behind, I’ve searched for you endlessly… And now, finally, I’ve found a clue to breaking the curse…”
She opened a worn parchment in her hand—a magical artifact she’d discovered in a dungeon. On it was a magic circle labeled Bl00d Contract, with the names Asot and Eltrinde written in ancient script.

“The Demon King’s curse… If I can break it, you’ll be free. And then… you’ll belong to me.”
A mad smile twisted her lips.

“This time, I will save you… and never let you go.”
With that, she stood up, her expression filled with unwavering determination.

After being scolded by Flugel, Garm—still burning with hatred for Asto and the mysterious cloaked woman—decided to cool off with a drink at the guild tavern. But the adventurer guarding the entrance simply
glared at him and refused to open the door.

“Garm… I’m sorry, but we can’t let you in. You’ve already been expelled from the guild.”
“What? You’re serious?! You’re actually kicking me out of the guild?! Do you know how much I’ve done for you all?! Flugel-sama always gets emotional—she’ll forget in a few days!”
His angry shouting echoed through the Beasts of the End guild house, but the guard replied with a dispassionate stare.

“Normally, yeah, she might. But this time, things are different. Your reputation took a nosedive after what happened. And to make matters worse, a certain noble applied pressure on us. Keeping you around would only drag us down. It’s not just Flugel-sama—everyone agrees.”
“W-What…? Hey!!”
Ignoring Garm’s shocked cries, the door shut firmly. It was unthinkable. He was an S-rank adventurer. He should be allowed to get a little rough now and then—even kidnapping a slave in public shouldn’t have been a big deal.
So, what the hell happened?
And why would a noble get involved in a minor skirmish like that?
No matter how much he thought about it, there were no answers. And just like that, Garm found himself unemployed—stripped of everything.

“…It’s his fault…”
Now sitting in a seedy bar, Garm muttered with a face full of hatred, the image of Asto—the man who’d interfered—burned into his mind.

“That outfit… He was a teacher at the Magic Academy, wasn’t he? He’s ruined my life twice now! So, it’s only fair I ruin his in return… You’ll see, Asto!!”
Even though deep down he knew he was just lashing out, Garm justified his fury. Maybe he’d kidnap that maid and violate her in front of him. Or maybe take one of his students hostage and force him to show up.
He grinned to himself, caught up in wild, violent fantasies—until a man approached.

“Did I hear you say ‘Asto’ just now?”
“That uniform… You’re a Magic Academy teacher too, aren’t you?!”
Garm narrowed his eyes in suspicion. The man smiled slyly.

“No need to look at me like that. I also want Asto removed. Or more accurately—the one behind him… Lady Eltrinde.”
“Eltrinde? So, he really was Asto Burg, the one who was supposed to be exiled!”
Garm had been about to attack the man on sight, but he paused. After all, the one he truly hated wasn’t just any teacher—it was Asto the Demon King Slayer. He’d only seen him from a distance a few times, so the memory was vague, but… now it all made sense. Especially the time magic—that had to be him.

“Tell me everything you know.”
“Gladly.”
And so, Garm sat down, slowly sinking deeper into the web of conspiracy.

“Eltrinde-sama is coming for an inspection?!”
I burst out in shock the moment I entered the staff room. For some reason, Rosalie-sensei misunderstood my reaction. Clasping her hands to her chest, her eyes sparkled as she nodded enthusiastically.

“Isn’t it amazing? Tomorrow, the Ice-Bl00d Princess Eltrinde-sama will be visiting our academy!”
“Why would royalty come to a remote place like this…?”
Caught in confusion, I didn’t notice how excited Rosalie-sensei was. Could she be here to keep an eye on me? Or is she planning something else…?
Whatever it is, it’s definitely going to be trouble.
I let out a deep, heavy sigh.

What will become of Garm?
What is the jealous Eltrinde planning, now that she’s come all the way to the academy herself?!
