She Came From Hell (GL) - Chapter 11
When Shen Yilan got home, she went straight to her room, locked the door, and pulled the curtains closed, shutting herself off from the outside world. She then began practicing her special ability over and over again.
Whether it was at the research institute or after she came to live with the Fu family, Shen Yilan made it a point to practice diligently every day.
Only by becoming strong enough on her own could she be truly independent. She needed no support, no safety net. She would be her own strength, untouchable by anyone.
About an hour later, there was a knock at the door.
Shen Yilan stopped her practice, using her mental powers to return the items she had scattered during her training to their original places. She opened the curtains before heading to unlock the door.
Standing outside was Fu Yinxuan. The small girl tilted her head, her large eyes filled with curiosity.
“Brother, is there something you need?” she asked.
Fu Yinxuan coughed lightly into his hand, clearly a bit uncomfortable. “It’s time to eat. Dad just called to say he’s on a business trip for the next few days and won’t be coming home.”
Shen Yilan nodded and followed Fu Yinxuan downstairs for dinner.
During the meal, Shen Yilan glanced at Fu Yinxuan, who sat across from her.
On the day she died in her previous life, Fu Yinxuan’s name had been on the guest list for her coming-of-age ceremony. But from start to finish, he never showed up.
She remembered that the Shen family and the Fu family had no significant business ties. Could Fu Yinxuan have been involved in what happened to me? What role did he play in it all?
Meanwhile, Fu Yinxuan occasionally looked at Shen Yilan, who was quietly eating her meal.
In their previous life, when he heard of her death, he had been overseas negotiating a deal. By the time he returned, he learned from the police that her body had been stolen.
He spent two years searching for answers, only for a set of remains to be found at the bottom of a cliff. After forensic testing, it was confirmed to be Shen Yilan’s.
The forensic examination revealed that after her death, Shen Yilan’s body had been subjected to some kind of mechanical research, which preserved it well. However, she had also suffered abuse and was then discarded off the cliff.
Without the special preservation techniques, her body decayed rapidly and turned to skeletal remains within a week.
When her remains were found, no one from the Shen family came to claim her. In the end, Fu Yinxuan arranged for her cremation and burial, setting up a gravestone in her memory.
On the seventh day after her gravestone was placed, Fu Yinxuan was reborn and found himself back a week before everything happened.
Not long after that, Fu Jingsheng brought Shen Yilan to live with them.
In the previous life, the events surrounding her death, the actions of the Shen family, and everything that happened afterward were all too unusual. Fu Yinxuan had planned to investigate further, but before he could, he was reborn.
Now, with Shen Yilan suddenly appearing in his life so differently from the previous timeline, he couldn’t make sense of it all.
The two of them ate dinner in silence, each lost in their thoughts. Afterward, they returned to their respective rooms.
Shen Yilan took a shower, changed into her pajamas, and lay down in bed, ready to sleep. But suddenly, a series of images flashed through her mind.
In these visions, Fu Jingsheng was being chased and jumped into the sea. The car’s dashboard clock showed the time: 9:15 p.m. The GPS display pointed to Japan’s most famous bridge.
Shen Yilan sat up abruptly and glanced at the clock on her bedside table. It was 8:55 p.m.
She got out of bed, rummaged through her things, and found a small red cloak. It was something Fu Jingsheng had bought her just yesterday when they went to the mall to pick up school supplies.
She changed into a black top and black jeans, threw on the red cloak, and pulled the hood over her head. Standing in front of the mirror, she smiled with satisfaction, then slipped on her shoes.
Looking around the room for something useful, her eyes fell on a ballpoint pen sitting on her desk. She walked over, picked it up, and held it firmly in her hand.
