She Came From Hell (GL) - Chapter 12
Shen Yilan closed her eyes and used her mental abilities to teleport. When she opened them again, she found herself sitting in the car with the assassins chasing after Fu Jingsheng.
She was seated right in the middle of the backseat, between two assassins. The four men in the car stared at her in utter horror. A child had just appeared out of nowhere—this was like seeing a ghost!
Shen Yilan gave a sweet smile, then calmly pulled out a ballpoint pen and stabbed it into the carotid artery of the assassin to her left. Bl00d sprayed everywhere.
With quick reflexes, she grabbed the knife from his pocket and, before the assassin on her right could react, slit his throat in one swift motion.
Neither of the assassins had a chance to resist. They died with their eyes wide open, unable to process what had just happened.
The driver and the front passenger, still alive, were utterly shaken. This… this is a demon, not a human! They had never seen anyone move so fast—not even seasoned professionals. And to think this was a child… a child who had appeared out of thin air!
The driver, his nerves shot, pressed the accelerator hard, pushing the car to its limit as it sped toward Fu Jingsheng’s vehicle. Shen Yilan, unhurried, used her mental powers to force the driver to take his foot off the gas and press the brake instead.
The car came to a sudden halt. When the remaining assassins looked back, Shen Yilan was gone. All that was left were the corpses of their colleagues, their eyes wide open in fear.
Standing at a distance, Shen Yilan looked down at the bloodstains on her clothes and sighed. Guess I’ll have to do the laundry myself. Sigh…
Back in her room, Shen Yilan took off her bloodstained clothes and went into the bathroom. For two hours, she scrubbed and washed the clothes with her little hands, far too young to be burdened with such chores.
Finally done, she took the clean clothes outside to the balcony. Standing on a stool, she reached for a hanger and rod to hang them up to dry.
Once everything was in place, she returned indoors. As she entered, the sound caught Fu Yinxuan’s attention, and he stepped out of his room. He saw her coming in from the balcony.
“What are you doing out on the balcony so late at night?” he asked, his tone slightly scolding.
Shen Yilan bit her lip and replied, “I accidentally got some clothes dirty earlier, so I washed them and hung them to dry. I’ll go to bed now, Big Brother. Please don’t be mad.”
Fu Yinxuan froze for a moment. Wait, what? She washed them herself?
“In the future, let the servants handle that,” he said, frowning. “The Fu family isn’t so poor that we need a little kid like you doing chores.”
Shen Yilan nodded obediently. “I understand. Big Brother, you should go to bed early too. Goodnight!” With that, she quickly went back to her room.
After ensuring she was safely in her room, Fu Yinxuan closed his door. Has she always been this well-behaved and independent? Did the Shen family mistreat her?
It doesn’t make sense. The Shen family may not be as wealthy as the Fu family, but they’re still a publicly listed company with a decent reputation. Surely they can afford to hire servants…
The next morning at seven, Shen Yilan and Fu Yinxuan had breakfast and lounged in the living room watching TV. School didn’t start until eight, so neither of them was in a hurry.
The news played on the TV:
“Yesterday, a major incident occurred on XX Bridge in Japan. Four bodies were found in a vehicle. The victims died in a gruesome manner, with throats slit by sharp objects and numerous other injuries across their bodies. According to international police, the case bears similarities to an incident a few days ago on the hillside road near XX Psychiatric Hospital. The identity of the perpetrator remains unknown. Citizens are urged to stay vigilant and report anything suspicious to the authorities immediately…”
