She Came From Hell (GL) - Chapter 25
“Shut up. The matter with Shen Yilan is still causing trouble over there. If you bring Ziyan back now and the paparazzi catch it, it’ll spread everywhere. The Shen family will be pushed into the spotlight, and they definitely won’t let it go easily,” Mr. Shen glared at Mrs. Shen, feeling that her narrow-minded thinking would ruin big plans.
“But Ziyan…,” Mrs. Shen tried to argue, but Mr. Shen interrupted her immediately.
“There’s no ‘but.’ Wait another six months before bringing Ziyan back. Also, when you go to see her, make sure to be careful not to get caught by the paparazzi,” Mr. Shen said before leaving the living room and heading upstairs to his study.
At 5 PM, Fu Jingsheng took Shen Yilan out of the company and they had dinner at a nearby restaurant.
Afterwards, they returned to the company to finish a few more documents, and Fu Jingsheng had a video conference. By the time it was over, it was already 8 PM.
Fu Jingsheng drove Shen Yilan back home.
Suddenly, Shen Yilan’s expression turned cold.
Fu Jingsheng noticed he was being followed, but since Shen Yilan was still in the car, he decided to wait until later to have someone take care of it.
He didn’t worry about the cars tailing them and, once they arrived home, went straight to his study and called someone to handle the people who had been following them.
Shen Yilan returned to her room, locked the door, closed the floor-to-ceiling windows and curtains, then used her telekinetic powers to disappear from the room.
Outside the residential area, a car was parked, and two men in black coats, wearing masks and hats, were sitting inside.
The two men didn’t notice a little girl appearing in the back seat.
The man in the driver’s seat made a phone call.
“Boss, Fu Jingsheng is home now. Should we make a move? Don’t worry, once I kill him, I’ll leave no trace,” the man said.
After hanging up, he was about to get out of the car to get a gun from the trunk when he found that the car door wouldn’t open.
“What’s going on? Why can’t I open the door?” he muttered.
The man in the passenger seat tried his own door, only to find it was also stuck.
“Did you lock it?”
The driver looked at the lock indicator and said, “No, it’s not locked.”
“I locked it,” came a childish voice from the back seat.
Both men froze, slowly turning their heads to the back, where they saw a little girl wearing a red cape, smiling sweetly. She was playing with a small knife in her hand.
“Dad, where’s Little Milk Bun?” Fu Yinxuan came home and saw Fu Jingsheng downstairs getting water. He asked.
Fu Jingsheng took a sip of water, glanced at Fu Yinxuan, and said, “She went straight to her room when we got home.”
Fu Yinxuan frowned slightly. On the way back, he had a strange feeling of unease. He couldn’t pinpoint where it came from, but the only thing he could think of was Shen Yilan, who had also been reborn.
“I’ll go check on her,” Fu Yinxuan said, heading upstairs.
He reached Shen Yilan’s room and knocked on the door. “Little Milk Bun, are you asleep? I’m coming in!”
He tried the door handle, but it was locked from the inside.
“Little Milk Bun, if you’re not asleep, open the door for me,” Fu Yinxuan called out again, but there was no response. His unease grew stronger.
Just as he was about to go downstairs and ask Fu Jingsheng for the key to open the door, the door opened. Shen Yilan stood there in her pajamas, rubbing her sleepy eyes and looking up at him.
“Brother… what’s wrong?” Shen Yilan looked like she had been woken up from sleep.
Fu Yinxuan looked into the room. The floor-to-ceiling windows and curtains were open, and the room was dimly lit, with only a desk lamp on. It seemed like she had really gone to bed, only to be woken up by him.
