She Came From Hell (GL) - Chapter 36
Lin Haoqin was actually quite handsome, with a refined, scholarly aura. Perhaps it was due to his family—both of his parents were teachers, and his grandfather was a professor at a business university.
However, he was a bit shy and introverted.
As Lin Haoqin looked at Fu Yilan, he felt as though a warm and bright beam of sunlight had entered his heart, filling it with warmth.
“Hey, what are you staring at?” A classmate in front of him turned around, intending to ask Fu Yilan for an eraser, only to notice Lin Haoqin was mesmerized by Fu Yilan.
Lin Haoqin snapped back to reality, blushing, and quickly lowered his head to look at his textbook.
Fu Yilan noticed Lin Haoqin’s shy demeanor and couldn’t help but chuckle softly.
“Yilan, can I borrow an eraser? I’ve lost mine again. I always can’t find it when I need it, but when I don’t, it just magically appears. It’s so ridiculous!” The classmate in front, Guo Junya, was a girl.
“Some people just love to make excuses for their bad memory,” said Chen Xiaotian, Guo Junya’s deskmate, with a teasing tone.
Guo Junya lightly swatted Chen Xiaotian’s arm and said, “Chen Xiaotian, are you itching for a fight? Three days without a spanking, and you’re trying to break the roof down, huh?”
It was a bit of a coincidence—Guo Junya and Chen Xiaotian’s families were neighbors, and they had grown up together. When they were little, they even wore the same pair of split pants!
Fu Yilan handed Guo Junya her eraser and said, “Here you go. You’re welcome. I’ve got plenty.”
She did indeed have a lot of stationery. Her desk drawers were filled with them. Every month, Fu Jingsheng asked the housekeeper to buy more, worried she would run out, even though she hardly ever used them, and now she had piles of unused stationery.
“Fu Yilan, look! I saw this while traveling over the weekend, and I thought it was perfect for you, so I bought it.” Zhao Beiyi walked over from the first group to the fourth group and placed a small box on Fu Yilan’s desk.
Fu Yilan picked it up in confusion and opened it. Inside was a pair of black diamond earrings—very shiny and indeed beautiful.
“Thanks,” Fu Yilan said with a smile.
“Pfft, we don’t need to be polite. If you really want to thank me, how about you treat us all to dinner tonight after school?” Zhao Beiyi smiled.
Fu Yilan raised an eyebrow. So that’s why she was waiting!
“Sure, we haven’t gone out together in a while,” Fu Yilan agreed without hesitation.
“Whoa! Did everyone hear that? Tonight, Yilan’s treating! Go tell your families and get ready to have fun tonight!” Zhao Beiyi cheered.
“Yilan’s so generous!”
“Thanks for treating, Yilan!”
……
Shen Ziyan looked around at her classmates and felt like she didn’t quite fit in. She really wanted to blend in with the group.
“Um, I’m new here, just arrived today. How about I treat everyone?” Shen Ziyan suggested, hoping to connect with the class.
As soon as she spoke, the class fell into complete silence. Everyone looked at Shen Ziyan in surprise.
Shen Ziyan was confused. What’s going on? Wasn’t this the right thing to do?
“Alright! A new student is treating us. We can’t be rude, right? Let’s all go to the ‘Palace Banquet’ tonight, like we always do!” Fu Yilan spoke up, a hint of coldness flashing in her eyes.
When the class saw that Fu Yilan had spoken, no one objected. Some even offered to be the “sacrificial lamb,” and who would dare refuse? Not many people could afford to go to the ‘Palace Banquet’!
