She Came From Hell (GL) - Chapter 37
After school in the afternoon, the students filed out of the school gates. Those with drivers were joined by those without, and they all headed to “Palace Feast.”
There were forty students in the class, so they booked the largest private room, which could accommodate fifty people.
Inside the room, there were five large round tables, each seating ten people.
Fu Yilan and her group of forty only filled four of the tables.
“Let’s order! Nine signature dishes: six meats, three vegetables, and a chicken soup. Ten dishes in total, the same for all four tables. Also, get some drinks,” Fu Yilan said without even glancing at the menu, speaking directly to the manager.
“Understood, Miss,” the manager replied respectfully before leaving the room and closing the door.
Soon, two waiters rolled in a food cart and placed drinks on all four tables. There were three bottles: cola, orange juice, and Sprite, the same for everyone.
Zhao Beiyi, sitting next to Fu Yilan, leaned closer and whispered, “Do you have a grudge against her? Why order like this? This meal is at least over six million!”
Fu Yilan glanced at Zhao Beiyi and said, “Tsk, the new girl invited us. If we don’t eat well, aren’t we wasting her kindness?”
Zhao Beiyi was momentarily speechless, silently giving Fu Yilan a thumbs-up. You’ve really gotten more devious over the years.
Shen Ziyan poured herself a glass of cola, then stood up, raised her glass, and smiled. “I hope we can become friends in the future. I’ll drink first as a gesture of respect.” She finished her cola in one go.
Fu Yilan thought to herself: If I didn’t know better, I’d think you were drinking wine! You’ve turned drinking cola into an act of drinking wine.
No one at the four tables moved. They all looked at Fu Yilan. When they saw her pour a glass of orange juice, they all followed suit, pouring drinks for themselves. They didn’t drink until Fu Yilan did.
Half of the class’s students came from wealthy families, and the other half, while not extremely rich, had families involved in small businesses or high-status professions.
Everyone knew that eating at “Palace Feast” cost at least two million per meal, and the only reason they could come here so often was that Fu Yilan was treating. It was a rare opportunity for them to taste such expensive, top-tier cuisine.
They also knew that in the end, Fu Yilan would be the one paying for the meal. Even though Shen Ziyan had money, there was no way she could pay for such an extravagant meal on her own.
Shen Ziyan, of course, noticed that the students weren’t toasting to her, but to Fu Yilan. This made her a little upset. It was her treat, so why were they looking at Fu Yilan?
But on the surface, she still maintained a graceful smile.
At that moment, a beautiful girl in a dress pushed open the door and entered. She immediately spotted Fu Yilan among the crowd and walked over.
“I heard from the manager that you brought your classmates here again. Coincidentally, my dad and I are here eating too, so I thought I’d stop by. You’re really something—coming here without letting me know,” the girl said in a sweet voice.
This beautiful girl was Qi Xiyao, the daughter of Mr. Qi and Mrs. Qi, whom Fu Yilan and Fu Yinxuan had seen during a dramatic event at a Western restaurant years ago.
Later, at a birthday banquet for Fu Yilan’s grandfather, they saw each other again, and from then on, Qi Xiyao had been trailing behind Fu Yilan, constantly saying she wanted to be her best, best, best friend.
