She Came From Hell (GL) - Chapter 38
“Today’s not my turn to host. Our new classmate, Shen Ziyan, is treating everyone to dinner,” Fu Yilan said with a light laugh.
Qi Xiyao looked around and saw a girl she didn’t recognize, who was wearing something other than the school uniform and stood out awkwardly.
“Hello, I’m Qi Xiyao, Fu Yilan’s little darling,” Qi Xiyao introduced herself to Shen Ziyan with politeness and grace.
Fu Yilan, of course, was used to this by now. She remembered the first time she brought a classmate here to eat, and Qi Xiyao had seen her, coming over to get familiar. The self-introduction at that time had been quite shocking.
“Hi, everyone! I’m Qi Xiyao, Fu Yilan’s future wife.”
That had stunned their classmates, who actually thought it was true for a while.
“Hi, I’m Shen Ziyan,” Shen Ziyan nodded. This girl was the second one she’d seen today who was so beautiful—was S City just full of gorgeous girls?
“Xiyao, why don’t you sit down and join us?” Guo Junya, who was sitting at another table, suggested.
Qi Xiyao shook her head and smiled, “No, my dad’s still waiting for me over there. You all enjoy your meal, I’m just here to say hello. I’ll leave now.”
She then turned to Fu Yilan, “Let me know when you’re full and ready to go home, and message me when you’re back. I’m leaving now!”
After Qi Xiyao left, the classmates couldn’t help but tease.
“Ooh… isn’t Yilan keeping her little wife around?”
“Yilan’s little darling~”
“Even at dinner, you’re still killing it, Yilan. So bad~”
……
Fu Yilan didn’t mind their teasing; it wasn’t the first time something like this had happened.
Soon, amidst the playful teasing and random chatter, the food was served, and everyone started eating while chatting.
After the dinner, it was already quite late.
Fu Yilan called the manager over to pay the bill.
“Miss Fu…” The manager assumed that, as usual, Fu Yilan would be paying.
Fu Yilan interrupted him, “It’s not me treating. It’s Miss Shen, the one in the dress.”
The manager was surprised—so it wasn’t Fu Yilan paying this time. It seemed like this Shen Ziyan might be from a wealthy family, too.
The manager walked over to Shen Ziyan, holding the bill. “Hello, Miss Shen, the total is 7,626,900. Will you be paying with a card or mobile payment?”
Shen Ziyan froze, thinking she had misheard. But when she saw that none of her classmates looked surprised, she realized she hadn’t misunderstood—this meal really did cost over 7 million, almost 8 million.
She panicked. Even if she sold everything she owned, she wouldn’t be able to come up with this much! She had thought the dinner would cost no more than 50,000.
Her monthly allowance was only 10,000, and she had just over 100,000 in her bank account, saved up from years of leftover pocket money.
At that moment, Shen Ziyan felt incredibly awkward, holding her phone and not knowing what to do.
Everyone looked at her, already understanding what was going on. Tsk, tsk—let her try to show off, now look at how awkward she is. She probably just wants to disappear into a crack in the floor.
Fu Yilan’s lips curled up slightly, a glint of amusement flashing in her eyes.
“It seems like Shen Ziyan was just talking for show. Ah, we thought she was actually treating,” Fu Yilan chuckled lightly.
Fu Yilan’s words pushed Shen Ziyan further into the spotlight, making the atmosphere even more awkward.
