She Came From Hell (GL) - Chapter 41
“You should remember, mom said that Shen Yilan has always had a higher IQ than kids her age. Plus, she’s the child of that person, so she must have inherited his special abilities. I’m certain that the Fu Yilan we know now is most likely the Shen Yilan who was once thought to be dead,” Mr. Shen said with confidence.
“But even if she is, she probably doesn’t remember us, right? After all, she was just a little girl back then.”
Mrs. Shen secretly hoped that Fu Yilan was indeed Shen Yilan, and that she still remembered them as her parents. If that were the case, they could use Fu Yilan to get close to the Fu family and have them help revive the Shen family.
“Even if she doesn’t remember us, she must still remember her grandmother, who she spent so much time with. If Fu Yilan is really Shen Yilan, we can use her to make the Fu family help us. We can also trick her again, send her to the research institute in H city, and have them study her. If the research is successful, we can extract her energy and use it for ourselves. With that, will we still have to worry about the Shen family’s decline?” Mr. Shen’s ambition was clear in his eyes, not hiding his intentions at all.
H City:
“Professor, we’ve received news from the Shen family. They believe that Shen Yilan might still be alive, and the daughter adopted by the third Master of the Fu family could be Shen Yilan.”
“Send someone to investigate thoroughly. If it’s confirmed, bring her back by force!”
“Should we send killers or…”
“Send the test subjects!”
A middle-aged man sat in his chair, his eyes filled with wild ambition and greed. Shen Yilan, so you’re still alive. Just as I hoped. Be a good girl and become my research subject.
I will make full use of you, extract your energy, and let my test subjects replicate your abilities. Then, who in this world could possibly challenge me?
“Fu Yilan, hurry, hurry, go to the elementary school district! Your brother is being surrounded by a group of middle schoolers downstairs!” A boy rushed into the classroom, out of breath.
Fu Yilan, who had been leaning on the desk, flashed a cold look in her eyes. She kicked Guo Junya’s chair and stood up. “Let’s go…”
Guo Junya immediately understood and called out, “Let’s go!”
Half the class stood up and followed Fu Yilan out of the classroom.
Shen Ziyan had never seen such a scene before. She felt uneasy and confused. Why did Fu Yilan have so many students backing her up? What was it about Fu Yilan that made everyone so loyal to her?
Shen Ziyan thought about asking her deskmate, Zhao Beiyi, but Zhao Beiyi was already going with them. Shen Ziyan looked at the few students still left in class and, noticing that her front desk mate hadn’t left, gently tapped her on the shoulder.
Her front desk mate, Ma Xiaoyao, turned around and looked at Shen Ziyan, puzzled. “What’s up?”
Shen Ziyan hesitated for a moment before quietly asking, “Why does it seem like everyone in class is following Fu Yilan like her minions?”
Ma Xiaoyao glanced at Shen Ziyan, clearly surprised by her curiosity.
“It’s simple. Fu Yilan is like our protector in the first year of high school. As long as she’s around, no one in our grade dares to offend us. To put it another way, using the language of a small-time bully, Fu Yilan is like the leader of our school.”
Shen Ziyan frowned. Wasn’t the school supposed to be strict about this kind of behavior? Aren’t they against this kind of influence?
“Why? Doesn’t the school care about this?”
Ma Xiaoyao looked at Shen Ziyan as if she were an idiot, then sighed when she saw the genuine curiosity in her eyes.
“The school doesn’t dare to touch Yi-jie. She’s backed by the Fu family, and the Fu family is the biggest shareholder in the school. But there’s an even bigger reason. Back when we were in middle school, a female teacher from our school was assaulted by a group of gangsters on her way to school. Zhao Beiyi and Xue Xinxie happened to pass by and tried to stop them. But they were beaten and sent to the hospital, and the teacher was dragged away by the gangsters.”
