- Chapter 46 - Mind Your Own Business Because of a Pair of Eyes
The person being chased saw Fu Yilan ahead and desperately ran toward her, grabbing her right hand. “Please, help me! I beg you, save me!” he pleaded.
Fu Yilan looked at the boy being chased, covered in bruises, his clothes messy, and although his face was battered, it was clear he wasn’t bad-looking. What stood out the most were his eyes, which looked strikingly similar to Qi Xiyao’s.
Fu Yilan hesitated, then shook off the boy’s hand, brushing off the spot where he had touched her. She frowned and said, “Why should I help you? I’m just a girl, and there are at least thirteen guys chasing you.”
“Please! They threw my phone away, can you at least help me call the police? Yes, just call the police!” The boy begged, terrified as the others closed in on him.
Fu Yilan looked into his pleading eyes, and for a moment, they reminded her of the pitiful look Qi Xiyao often gave her.
“Stay away from me, close your eyes, and don’t open them without my permission. Otherwise, I’ll send you right to them,” Fu Yilan said coldly.
The boy, panicked, obeyed and shut his eyes. His only hope now was this stranger, and he didn’t want to drag her into this, but this road was deserted, and he had no choice. He didn’t want to get beaten to death.
Fu Yilan focused her energy, using her mind to control the group of pursuers. They began to fight each other uncontrollably, hitting each other with great force.
Ten minutes later, a dozen boys lay unconscious on the ground, battered and bruised.
The boy kept his eyes closed for a long time, but when he didn’t hear anything, he couldn’t resist peeking. There was no sign of the girl.
He opened his eyes, looking around. It was as though she had never been there. But the group of unconscious boys on the ground proved that she had indeed been there.
He walked over to check the boys, each one injured and lying motionless.
He swallowed nervously and quickly ran off. He was afraid they might wake up and see him still there and beat him to death.
“Fu Yilan! Where have you been after school? Why are you so late coming back?” Fu Jingsheng asked, a little angry.
Fu Yilan yawned and said, “Qi Xiyao dragged me out shopping, and I just dropped her off and walked back slowly. I’m a little tired, so I’m going upstairs to rest.”
With that, Fu Yilan started to walk upstairs. Fu Jingsheng was really mad now. He’d warned her so many times about the dangerous international criminal on the loose, but she just didn’t listen!
As Fu Yilan reached the second floor and turned the corner, she ran straight into Fu Yinxuan, who was coming downstairs to get some water.
“How come you walk so quietly?” Fu Yinxuan was startled.
Fu Yilan waved him off and walked past him into her room. She was so tired. She never wanted to go shopping with girls again—it was exhausting!
Fu Yinxuan glanced at her door before heading downstairs to the dining room to get some water.
“Dad, why did Xiao Lan just get back now?” Fu Yinxuan asked while pouring the water.
“She said she went shopping with Qi Xiyao from the Qi family and only slowly walked back after sending her home,” Fu Jingsheng said, sounding irritated.
“Alone…” Fu Yinxuan muttered under his breath.
