She Came From Hell (GL) - Chapter 47
The next day, which was Wednesday, Fu Yilan woke up early as usual to go to school.
Shen Ziyan looked at Fu Yilan, who had just come back and was now lying on her desk sleeping, and thought for a while. After the first class, she stood up, walked over to Lin Haoqin’s desk in the fourth row, and looked at Fu Yilan.
“Um, Fu Yilan, I… can I be your friend?” Shen Ziyan asked nervously, feeling a little unsure.
Fu Yilan heard the voice, opened her eyes slightly, and looked up at Shen Ziyan.
The other students were also curious about what Fu Yilan would say, all of them quietly watching the scene.
Fu Yilan simply glanced at her and then lay back down on the desk, closing her eyes again.
Shen Ziyan stood awkwardly, her hands clutching the hem of her clothes, feeling embarrassed and out of place.
“Fu Yilan, can I? Can I be your friend?” Shen Ziyan asked again, forcing a smile.
But Fu Yilan didn’t respond for a long time.
The other students began to quietly whisper to each other.
Shen Ziyan felt more and more uncomfortable. Why? She just wanted to be friends with Fu Yilan. Why did she feel like Fu Yilan was purposely trying to make her uncomfortable?
Was Fu Yilan really picking on her because she thought Shen Ziyan had taken something away from her? Was that why Fu Yilan was treating her this way? But Shen Ziyan had only just transferred to the school, and she had never interacted with Fu Yilan before. Could Fu Yilan really be like this because of something that happened before?
But with all the stares and whispers around her, Shen Ziyan couldn’t keep asking, nor could she leave. She just stood there, looking at Fu Yilan, who remained indifferent, her eyes starting to water. How could she stand such humiliation?
Lin Haoqin, who was stuck between the two, was feeling even more awkward. Shen Ziyan stood to his left, and Fu Yilan sat to his right. He was caught in the middle of this tense atmosphere, and the chair felt like it was burning under him.
Lin Haoqin looked to Chen Xiaotian and Guo Junya, who had turned around to watch the drama unfold, silently pleading, “Help me, save me.”
Chen Xiaotian and Guo Junya exchanged glances, then pretended not to notice, looking around the room as if they hadn’t seen Lin Haoqin’s plea.
Lin Haoqin: You guys are the worst!
Under Shen Ziyan’s intense gaze, Fu Yilan couldn’t continue to sleep.
She sat up impatiently, then stood up and gave Shen Ziyan an icy look, saying, “If you want to stay here peacefully, stop wandering around in front of me and don’t bother me again.”
After speaking, Fu Yilan walked around Lin Haoqin and headed toward the back door of the classroom.
“Hey! Yilan, where are you going? Class is starting!” Guo Junya called after her.
“Not going. Too annoying.” Fu Yilan said as she left, her words final.
Shen Ziyan lowered her head, tears falling like big raindrops. She didn’t dare to meet the eyes of her classmates. She returned to her seat, laid her head on the desk, and sobbed quietly.
Her desk mate, Zhao Beiyi, rolled her eyes. She had already told Shen Ziyan not to try to get close to Fu Yilan, but she didn’t listen. Now, look at the situation. Ignoring advice only leads to trouble. Ugh, not that I’m old or anything, I’m still in my prime!
No one cared how upset or hurt Shen Ziyan felt. No one offered her tissues or comforted her. Everyone just went about their own business, minding their own concerns. After all, they didn’t know her well, and it was obvious that Fu Yilan didn’t like her. Everyone could see that. They certainly wouldn’t risk ruining their relationship with Fu Yilan, who they had known for years, just for someone they had only met three days ago.
