She Came From Hell (GL) - Chapter 53
“Sis, can I treat you to a meal?” Zheng Mingjin asked, looking at Qi Xiyao with sincere eyes and a smile.
Qi Xiyao really wanted to give him the cold shoulder, like she would when she went back to the Qi family’s old house. But since Fu Yilan was here, she didn’t want Fu Yilan to think she was that kind of domineering person.
Qi Xiyao didn’t want to interact with him. She really disliked him, but if she rejected him, would Fu Yilan think she was being too harsh as an older sister?
Fu Yilan lowered her gaze slightly and saw the conflicted and wronged expression on Qi Xiyao’s face. She knew Qi Xiyao didn’t like Zheng Mingjin; Fu Yilan had noticed that the first time they met at the Western restaurant.
“No, thank you. Don’t come to school looking for me again. We’re not that close,” Fu Yilan said indifferently. She took Qi Xiyao’s hand and led her across the street toward the car. Once they reached the car, Fu Yilan opened the door and let Qi Xiyao get in first before following her inside.
Zheng Mingjin watched the car drive away, a glint of something flashing in his eyes. Fu Yilan…
Inside the car, Fu Yilan and Qi Xiyao sat in silence, the atmosphere quiet.
“Miss, would you like me to drop Miss Qi off at her home?” the driver asked, glancing at the rearview mirror.
“Yes. Take her to the Qi family house,” Fu Yilan replied softly.
“Understood, Miss.”
Qi Xiyao turned and looked at Fu Yilan’s perfect profile. Her long, thick eyelashes fluttered, and Qi Xiyao could feel her heart beating faster. The person she admired was so beautiful.
When they reached the Qi family’s mansion, Fu Yilan watched as Qi Xiyao entered the villa before instructing the driver to leave.
Back at her own home, Fu Yilan saw that Fu Yinxuan, who had fallen asleep on the couch, looked exhausted. Fu Jingsheng wasn’t home, probably still working overtime at the company.
Fu Yilan didn’t wake Fu Yinxuan. She went upstairs, took a shower, changed into her pajamas, and sat at her desk. She opened her laptop and began searching for information about the Shen family, hoping to find any suspicious individuals related to that organization.
“It’s already the end of October! November will be here soon, and the weather will start to cool down. You can wear any base layer you like, but make sure to wear your winter uniform and a jacket on top, or you’ll catch a cold.
And listen up! The midterm exams are on November 6th. Everyone should start reviewing, don’t slack off or try to get away with it. Especially you, the ones at the bottom of the class—are you listening?”
The homeroom teacher said with a serious expression. With such a group of unmotivated students, when would she ever be able to earn the title of Outstanding Teacher?
“I’m talking to you! Guo Junya, where are you looking? And you, Li Peng, how dare you laugh at Guo Junya?” The homeroom teacher called out specifically.
The class burst into laughter, since being called out like that was truly embarrassing.
“Fu Yilan, as the class monitor, you need to take more responsibility and supervise your classmates’ studies. If possible, you should also share your study tips with everyone.” The homeroom teacher turned to look at Fu Yilan, who was daydreaming out the window from the fourth group.
Fu Yilan turned her head and looked at the homeroom teacher. Class monitor? She never agreed to take on that role.
Shen Ziyan was a bit surprised to look toward Fu Yilan. Fu Yilan was the class monitor? She could barely stay awake in class, and now she was supposed to be the class monitor?
“Shen Ziyan, didn’t the school give you your uniform yesterday at lunchtime? Why aren’t you wearing it today? Do you understand the rules?” The homeroom teacher looked at Shen Ziyan, who was the only one in the class not wearing the uniform, her skirt standing out awkwardly.
“Sorry, teacher! My uniform was still wet from washing, but I’ll definitely wear it tomorrow,” Shen Ziyan said, pressing her lips together and speaking obediently.
