She Came From Hell (GL) - Chapter 64
Although Qi Xiyao was terrified, she couldn’t stop herself from worrying about Fu Yilan—the one who lived in her heart and occupied all of her thoughts.
She listened to the sounds of intense fighting, the clashing of weapons, and couldn’t help herself. She removed the blindfold from her eyes and peeked out.
What she saw shocked her. Fu Yilan was tangled in combat with several people, and the scene was heart-stopping. She also saw objects flying through the air, attacking those people, as if controlled by some unseen force. This was completely unnatural.
Qi Xiyao saw Fu Yilan’s beautiful face covered in bl00d. Her blue and white school uniform was stained with bright red bl00d. Nightfall was approaching, and the warehouse grew darker, lit only by a few flickering lights. In this dim light, Fu Yilan appeared even more mesmerizing.
After Fu Yilan finished off the last person, she thought about torturing them as usual, but then remembered that Qi Xiyao was still there, so she decided against it.
Fu Yilan turned to walk toward Qi Xiyao. When Qi Xiyao saw that the enemies were all dead, she ran toward Fu Yilan and threw herself into her arms.
“Ah Lan!” Qi Xiyao exclaimed as she hugged Fu Yilan. In that moment, she felt that Fu Yilan’s embrace was the safest place in the world.
“Uh…” Fu Yilan hesitated, about to push her away, but then realized that Qi Xiyao was probably frightened, so she allowed her to hold her.
As Qi Xiyao held onto Fu Yilan, she faced the bodies of the men that Fu Yilan had just killed. One of them, barely alive, picked up a bullet from the ground and, with his last ounce of strength, threw it at Fu Yilan’s back.
Qi Xiyao’s eyes widened in an instant. Reflexively, she spun around while still holding onto Fu Yilan, and the bullet pierced through her shoulder. The pain was excruciating, and she tightly furrowed her brows.
Fu Yilan froze, clearly shocked by Qi Xiyao’s selfless act of shielding her from the bullet.
Then, Fu Yilan used her telekinetic power to control the weapons in the warehouse, driving them all into the bodies of the now-dead men.
Qi Xiyao, unable to bear the pain, slowly collapsed and fainted. Fu Yilan quickly caught her falling body, lifting her effortlessly, one arm around her waist and the other supporting her legs, and headed toward the warehouse door.
Once outside, Fu Yilan disappeared into the night with Qi Xiyao in her arms.
“Xiao Lan! How’s Xiyao? How did she get shot? What happened?”
At the hospital, Mr. and Mrs. Qi rushed over after receiving Fu Yilan’s call.
“The people behind this were targeting me. They kidnapped Qi Xiyao to force me into submission. I’m sorry, I’ve put her in danger,” Fu Yilan sincerely apologized to Mr. and Mrs. Qi.
Mr. and Mrs. Qi exchanged a look. In their eyes, besides worry, there was only helplessness. They had long realized that their daughter’s feelings weren’t like other people’s. As her parents, how could they not notice?
But they never directly confronted it, nor did they try to stop her. They weren’t conservative parents. As long as their child was happy, whether it was a man or a woman didn’t matter.
“It’s not your fault,” Mrs. Qi sighed. “Don’t blame me for speaking out. I just hope you’ll think this through. Some things are better to make clear early on.”
She sighed again. What parent didn’t love their child? Seeing their child so severely hurt was heartbreaking. But ultimately, it was her child’s choice. For the person she loved, she was willing to sacrifice everything—even her life.
