She Came From Hell (GL) - Chapter 69
Over the past two years, Qi Xiyao had spent every day immersed in studying and practicing the piano. She never mentioned anything related to Fu Yilan, and the people around her respected this, never bringing up his name.
After finishing the college entrance exam and starting her break, Qi Xiyao began studying university-level material. Aside from eating, bathing, and sleeping, her days were filled with studying and practicing the piano.
Although Mr. and Mrs. Qi felt heartbroken for her, they didn’t stop her. They knew that only by keeping busy with these things would she not have time to dwell on the unhappy thoughts.
In the past two years, the serial killer had not struck again, which relieved the people in the country. It also confirmed Fu Yinxuan’s suspicion—ever since Fu Yilan went abroad, the serial killer had disappeared. This made it even more clear that Fu Yilan was the serial killer, though they couldn’t find any concrete evidence to make an arrest.
The Shen family had completely fallen, declaring bankruptcy. As a result, Shen Ziyan’s life became increasingly difficult. Even the money that Grandma Shen used to give her for the New Year had to be handed over to Shen’s parents.
Having lived a life of luxury and never lifting a finger before, Shen Ziyan now had to balance school and part-time jobs to make ends meet and pay for tuition.
Many times, Shen Ziyan had thought about ending it all, but then someone appeared in her life, like a light shining through the darkness, bringing brightness to her world.
When she learned that he was the heir to the Chu Group, she became scared. She feared that once her parents found out, they would shamefully ask him for money or try to sell her like an object to Chu Ying.
“Yao Yao, I’m going to a banquet tonight. Come with me and be my date!”
Zhou Yahuan, a former professional gamer who retired to open his own club and form a team, was now the boss behind the scenes. He was also a good friend of Fu Yinxuan and the international movie star, Zheng Qi.
A year ago, Zhou Yahuan met sixteen-year-old Qi Xiyao, and he instantly fell for her. He began following her everywhere, pursuing and spoiling her. Whenever Qi Xiyao needed him, he would always be there.
Today, he had invited Qi Xiyao to dinner at a high-end Western restaurant.
Qi Xiyao hesitated and said, “But I still need to practice the piano today.”
Zhou Yahuan seemed a bit disappointed. “Oh, I see! Well, it’s not a big deal. It’s just a casual banquet. My little sister is back from abroad, so it’s sort of a welcome-back party!”
Qi Xiyao’s eyelashes trembled, and her hand holding the fork paused. “She’s back? Has she returned?”
Zhou Yahuan noticed that something seemed off with Qi Xiyao. Concerned, he asked, “Yao Yao, what’s wrong? Are you feeling unwell?”
Qi Xiyao took a deep breath to calm herself and smiled. “It’s nothing. Did you say that Yinxuan’s sister is back?”
Zhou Yahuan nodded and said, “Yeah! She’s been abroad for two years. I didn’t even know she was back until my mom told me. Apparently, she just landed today, and it seems like she’s here to stay.”
“Actually, I can practice the piano anytime. It’s okay if I don’t practice today,” Qi Xiyao said.
Zhou Yahuan’s heart lifted with joy.
“Does that mean you’ll come with me?” he asked.
Qi Xiyao nodded.
Fu Yinxuan was waiting outside the airport in his new car, occasionally glancing at the entrance.
After some time, he saw a girl in casual, loose clothing pulling a suitcase, looking around.
Fu Yinxuan waved his hand toward her. The girl noticed him, walked over, opened the trunk, and put her suitcase inside. After closing the trunk, she opened the front passenger door and got in.
