She Came From Hell (GL) - Chapter 71
Fu Yilan walked over with Fu Yinxuan toward the Fu family, and as they approached, she saw Qi Xiyao, who was there as Zhou Yahuan’s date. Her gaze landed on Qi Xiyao, who was holding Zhou Yahuan’s arm, and a fleeting glint appeared in her eyes.
She quickly shifted her gaze and smiled at the Fu family. “It’s all my brother’s fault, being so picky and troublesome, more than any girl. He made us late like this.”
Old Mr. Fu chuckled kindly. “No worries, no worries. You’re the guest of honor, so the event starts properly only when you arrive.”
Upon hearing Fu Yilan’s words, Fu Yinxuan wasn’t happy.
“What do you mean ‘more troublesome than a girl’? Which girl are you talking about? Are you talking about yourself? Is that it?” he asked.
Old Mrs. Fu pretended to be angry as she tapped Fu Yinxuan’s arm. “You little rascal, what are you talking about? Can you talk about your sister like that?”
Fu Yinxuan rolled his eyes. If it weren’t for my sister, I would’ve long ago thrown the troublemaker in jail without a second thought.
He casually glanced over and noticed Qi Xiyao standing with Zhou Yahuan. He was a bit surprised, then quickly turned his gaze back and forth between Fu Yilan, Qi Xiyao, and Zhou Yahuan.
Suddenly, Fu Yinxuan had an idea. He walked over to Zhou Yahuan and looked at Qi Xiyao, who was standing on the other side of him. “Aren’t you going to introduce her?”
Zhou Yahuan, hearing Fu Yinxuan’s words, was overjoyed and said, “This is Qi Xiyao, the daughter of Mr. Qi Zhiyuan from the Qi family, and she’s my date for today.”
When Qi Xiyao heard that Zhou Yahuan had introduced her as his date, she instinctively looked at Fu Yilan. However, she found that Fu Yilan paid no attention to her, not even sparing her a glance.
“From the Qi family? The daughter of Zhiyuan? My, you’ve grown up so well! Look at your face, you’re becoming even more radiant—just like Xiao Lan. Hello, I’m Yahuan’s mother,” said Aunt Fu Jingya, smiling.
Qi Xiyao responded with a polite smile. “Hello, Mrs. Zhou.”
Mrs. Fu smiled even more as she watched Qi Xiyao. “Look at this child, even her voice is so pleasant. How old are you this year? Do you have a boyfriend? My Yahuan has a successful career, and he’s not bad looking. Have you considered him?” Mrs. Fu liked Qi Xiyao more and more and eagerly began promoting her son to her.
“Mom! What are you saying? Don’t scare her! I’m still just pursuing her; I haven’t succeeded yet!” Zhou Yahuan blushed slightly, feeling embarrassed.
Qi Xiyao’s gaze remained fixed on Fu Yilan, who was chatting with Old Mr. Fu and Old Mrs. Fu. She wanted to see how Fu Yilan would react.
But in the end, she was disappointed because Fu Yilan acted as if she were a stranger, completely indifferent.
“Grandpa, Grandma, Dad, I’m going out for some fresh air,” Fu Yilan said with a smile.
“Go ahead, go ahead. Don’t stay inside too long,” Old Mrs. Fu replied.
Fu Yilan nodded, then turned and walked towards the door. After stepping outside, she stood by the window, looking out at the vast night view of S City.
Qi Xiyao, who had been watching Fu Yilan the whole time, saw her leave and quickly made an excuse to follow. Once outside, she saw Fu Yilan’s figure, which exuded an air of mystery and coldness.
“Ah Lan… Long time no see,” Qi Xiyao said as she carefully called out from behind Fu Yilan.
Fu Yilan had already known that Qi Xiyao was following her.
Turning around, Fu Yilan leaned against the window and looked at Qi Xiyao, smiling lightly. “Long time no see. Looks like things are going well with my cousin! Congratulations.”
Qi Xiyao froze for a moment, shaking her head quickly like a rattle drum. She hastily explained, “No, no, it’s not like that. I’m not in a relationship. I’ve clearly turned down Yahuan. We’re just friends.”
