She Came From Hell (GL) - Chapter 9
After school at noon, students weren’t allowed to leave the campus. They had to eat in the cafeteria and could only go home after classes ended in the afternoon.
Shen Yilan was about to leave her seat to check out the cafeteria food when a classmate shouted, “Fu Yilan! Your brother is here to see you!”
Shen Yilan looked toward the doorway and saw three high school boys standing there. Among them was Fu Jingsheng’s adopted son, Fu Yinxuan.
Noticing how some of the girls in her class were shyly glancing at Fu Yinxuan and his two friends, Shen Yilan’s lips twitched slightly. Are first-grade girls already this starstruck?
She walked out of the classroom, tilted her head up to look at Fu Yinxuan, and gave a sweet smile. “Brother!” she said in a soft and sweet voice.
For a brief moment, Fu Yinxuan was stunned, but he quickly put on a deliberately annoyed expression and said, “Let’s go. Dad told me to keep an eye on you at school.”
“Yinxuan, you have a sister? Why didn’t we know about this? She’s so pretty and adorable. What’s your name, little sister?” one of Fu Yinxuan’s friends asked.
“Hello, Brother. My name is Fu Yilan,” Shen Yilan said with a bright, cheerful smile.
“Oh wow, so cute! My name’s Zhou Yahuan. Come here, let me give you a hug,” Zhou Yahuan said, bending down to pick her up.
Before Zhou Yahuan could touch her, Fu Yinxuan pulled him away and lifted Shen Yilan himself.
“You’re just going to let anyone hug you? What if someone sells you and you even help them count the money?” Fu Yinxuan said angrily, holding her close.
Shen Yilan wrapped her arms around Fu Yinxuan’s neck and rested her head on his shoulder, whispering softly, “I’m sorry, Brother.”
Fu Yinxuan froze for a moment. This is just a little kid… Did I guess wrong? Could she not be reborn? But her sudden appearance in my family doesn’t make sense… Unless this life is completely different from the last one?
“Yinxuan, what’s your problem? What do you mean ‘anyone’? What’s wrong with me giving her a hug?” Zhou Yahuan protested, feeling like Fu Yinxuan was subtly insulting him.
The other boy smiled helplessly at their antics.
Once they arrived at the cafeteria, Fu Yinxuan told Shen Yilan to stay seated while they went to get food.
It wasn’t long before they came back with their trays. Fu Yinxuan handed Shen Yilan a bottle of sweet milk, which surprised her. How does he know I like sweet things?
“Hurry up and eat. After this, I’ll take you back for a nap,” Fu Yinxuan said in a slightly annoyed tone.
Shen Yilan pouted but started eating quietly.
Perhaps because the three of them were so good-looking, many girls in the cafeteria kept sneaking glances at their table.
This school was quite large, with sections for kindergarten, elementary, middle, and high school. Technically, at six years old, Shen Yilan should have been in the senior kindergarten class and only started elementary school next year.
However, Shen Yilan had insisted on going straight to elementary school, finding kindergarten even more boring. If her age hadn’t been a limitation, she would’ve wanted to skip straight to high school.
The school dorms were three-person rooms, with individual beds instead of bunk beds. Each dorm had its own bathroom, balcony, three desks and chairs, three wardrobes, and a shared bookshelf.
Shen Yilan sat on Fu Yinxuan’s bed, looking around the dorm room. Like most kids, after a good meal, she soon felt drowsy.
It didn’t take long before she was lying on the bed, fast asleep.
Meanwhile, Fu Yinxuan, Zhou Yahuan, and their other friend, Zheng Qi, sat on Zhou Yahuan’s bed playing games on their phones.
Fu Yinxuan occasionally glanced at Shen Yilan, noticing when she kicked the blanket off in her sleep. With a sigh, he walked over and gently covered her with the blanket again.
