She Was Sentenced to Life Imprisonment [Unlimited] - Chapter 9
Chapter 9
â—Ž How do I look? â—Ž
“Achoo.”
The cold wind blew, penetrating the fabric of the clothes and making people feel a bone-chilling coldness, making them shiver uncontrollably.
Zhou Chen, with his small frame, couldn’t resist the cold wind and sneezed loudly.
Zhang Zheng, who was walking in front, was already on edge. When he suddenly heard the sneeze, his muscles tensed up, and he even held his breath, his eyes darting around, on guard.
“Who’s there? Come out now, or don’t blame me for being rude…”
He muttered to himself, as if talking to the air.
Zhou Chen, who was behind him, didn’t stop in time because the other person had suddenly stopped, and he bumped hard into the other person’s back. He rubbed his sore nose bridge, then looked at the other person’s ridiculous appearance in confusion and asked.
“Brother Zhang, what are you doing?”
A face suddenly pressed against his back, and Zhang Zheng shuddered again. He didn’t dare to look back. When he heard the voice and realized it was Zhou Chen, he immediately got angry and wanted to vent all his anger on the other person.
He grabbed the other person’s collar, and his heavy breathing made him look like a wild dog, baring his teeth and barking at people. He was heard saying in a vicious tone.
“If you make any more damned noise, don’t blame me for punching you to death.”
Zhang Zheng was tall and big, and the scar on his face made him look even more ferocious. It seemed like his fist was about to come down.
When Zhou Chen saw this, even with his teenage temper, he felt scared and immediately started begging for mercy in a fawning manner.
“Brother Zhang, Brother Zhang, I really didn’t do it on purpose. Next time, I’ll be sure to be careful…”
Suddenly, in the darkness, his gaze seemed to be attracted by something. He forgot about Zhang Zheng, who was still fuming, raised his finger and pointed at a house in front, and asked.
“Brother Zhang, could that lit-up house be Nie Yun’s?”
Hearing this, Zhang Zheng spat, but he didn’t land his fist on the other person. He was also afraid that if he really beat the other person to death, he would haunt this ghost-infested place.
He let go of Zhou Chen’s collar, which was considered letting Zhou Chen go, but he was still cursing.
“What the f*ck are you talking about? This village is like a light switch goes off when it gets dark. Where would there be a lit-up house…”
However, when he turned his head and looked in the direction Zhou Chen was pointing, he was stunned and held his breath again.
He actually saw a lit-up house not far in front. The windows let out a warm yellow light, forming a stark contrast with the surrounding houses, as if it had deliberately left the light on for them.
But as soon as this thought appeared, Zhang Zheng shook his head and threw away this unrealistic idea.
Zhang Zheng frowned, motioned towards that direction, pursed his lips, and a hint of a sinister calculation flashed in his eyes. He said coldly.
“You, go over there.”
The commanding tone made Zhou Chen a little unhappy, but when he met the other person’s gloomy eyes and saw the other person’s strong body, he knew he had no chance of winning by fighting, so he could only swallow all his dissatisfaction and once again put on a fawning face and nodded.
“Okay, Brother Zhang.”
After saying that, as he walked over, his face immediately filled with disdain, and he muttered quietly.
“What’s there to be so cocky about? Weren’t you scared like you peed your pants by a ghost?”
As he said this, he tried to forget the terrifying headless female ghost in his mind.
In the howling cold wind, red curtains fluttered, like ghosts running rampant, laughing crazily beside him.
Zhou Chen only felt his steps getting heavier and heavier. The sound of the wind in his ears seemed to be mixed with a woman’s mournful crying.
He immediately lowered his head and didn’t dare to look forward, only knowing to walk forward by feeling.
Zhang Zheng saw him walking so slowly and shouted impatiently.
“Hurry up.”
Zhou Chen heard this, his steps paused, and he shivered. He wanted to give up, thinking that at most he would just get a beating. But just as he was about to go back, he heard a strange sound.
The sound of “splashing water” entered Zhou Chen’s ears. Before he could look up in confusion, he suddenly bumped into a thick wall.
Zhou Chen was already haunted by the shadow of the ghost head, and at this moment, he exploded. He cursed and looked up, rubbing his sore forehead, wanting to see what he had bumped into. No matter if it was a ghost or not, he was going to rush up and kick it.
However, when he looked through the window covered in steam, a blurry figure appeared in his sight.
When he wiped the steam away and looked inside, he was so shocked he wanted to pop his eyes out.
The hot water was filled with a hazy mist, which made the curvaceous figure inside appear and disappear, captivating and making people’s bl00d boil.
Zhou Chen had never seen such a scene before. He swallowed his saliva. The male’s natural inferiority made him unable to move his eyes away, and he couldn’t hear Zhang Zheng’s increasingly impatient shouts.
“Hey, kid, what’s going on over there?”
Zhang Zheng called out a few times, but he didn’t see Zhou Chen turn back, so he became more and more unhappy. He looked around, and after confirming that the ghost hadn’t appeared, he mustered his courage and walked over, cursing.
He grabbed Zhou Chen’s collar from behind, like he was carrying a little chick.
The sudden suspension in the air and the terrifying feeling of suffocation made Zhou Chen instantly come back to his senses. He met Zhang Zheng’s fierce face, and he immediately panicked. He was in a hurry to speak, but then he remembered the person inside and lowered his voice to speak.
“Brother Zhang, look inside quickly…”
Before he could finish his sentence, Zhang Zheng let go of him, making him fall to the ground unprepared.
Zhou Chen cursed his bad luck and then saw that Zhang Zheng was already looking greedily at the scene in the window. He also quickly climbed up to look at the seductive picture inside.
A huge bathtub was filled with hot water that a woman had just poured in. The woman behind the steam raised her hand and slowly took off her clothes one by one, her movements gentle and seductive.
The misty, graceful figure slowly stepped into the bathtub. The water scooped up by the ladle slid down her smooth skin. Her skin, which was slightly red from the steam, made people want to rush in.
Zhang Zheng swallowed his saliva, only feeling as if there was a fire burning under him. His breathing also became gradually rapid.
And Zhou Chen was not doing any better. His face was flushed, but he was still staring at the inside without blinking.
“How do I look?”
They were so engrossed that a faint female voice, like a call from hell, rang out in their ears.
The woman inside turned her head, but her body didn’t move. Instead, her head stiffly turned completely to her back, and she smiled at them.
Her crimson, bl00d-like lips split open and slowly reached her ears, revealing sharp, thirsty fangs. Her voice was faint, like a ghost, and her sweet words were chilling.
“Since you’ve seen my body, you’ll have to leave your eyes behind~”
The elongated ending didn’t make people feel sweet or cute, only terrifying and creepy.
Zhang Zheng and Zhou Chen were brought back to their senses from the beautiful woman bathing to the evil ghost. Their eyes widened in terror as they looked at everything that was happening in front of them. They wanted to run, but for some reason, their feet seemed to be fixed to the ground, making them unable to move.
Nie Yun’s face then turned into the head that Zhang Zheng had stomped on earlier. Bl00d was flowing from her empty, deep eyes, dripping down her cheeks like bl00d tears.
Half of her skull was crushed, and the collapsed half of her head allowed people to see the red and white brain matter inside, mixed with broken bone fragments, like a disgusting soup was served in her head.
Zhang Zheng seemed to feel that he was about to die. He didn’t know where he got the courage from, but he suddenly flared up and cursed.
“You b*tch, if you have the guts, let’s fight one-on-one. Let’s see how I’ll kill you…”
But his threatening words did not stop the female ghost’s “giggle” laughter. It even became more ear-piercing. The rotten flesh on her face was almost shaking off from her laughter.
The courage that Zhang Zheng had just mustered up instantly vanished, and his body trembled like a sieve.
They wanted to close their eyes and block out this terrifying scene.
But a stinging pain suddenly came from their eyes, making them cover their eyes in pain.
However, their hands became uncontrollable and stabbed fiercely into their eye sockets, twisting uncontrollably. A thousand times the pain spread throughout their limbs and bones. They screamed and gouged out their own eyeballs.
Their trembling hands were covered in bl00d, tightly clutching the eyeballs they had dug out. The bl00d dripped onto the ground, like a withered but enchanting flower blooming.
Zhang Zheng and Zhou Chen no longer cared about the excruciating pain in their eyes. They just wanted to run back recklessly.
“Help me…”
But their pleas for help blended into the whistling wind, and no one would hear them and come to their rescue.
The “giggle” laughter from the back door seemed to be cruelly mocking their pathetic state. The bloody smell in the air made it very happy. The trembling, laughing face had very little rotten flesh left, revealing the stark white bones.
…
Jiang Nan and Luo Ning opened their eyes. The previous illusion had disappeared, but they had not returned to reality.
What appeared in front of them was the local police station, which made Jiang Nan, who was still holding a knife in her hand, stunned for a moment.
Luo Ning’s hand was still holding Jiang Nan’s hand. She looked at the words “police station” and a smile appeared on her lips. She said to Jiang Nan.
“We’ve changed locations.”
Jiang Nan hadn’t yet figured out what the other person meant. She then saw the bridesmaids from before, with their clothes in disarray, crying and supporting each other as they entered.
There were large and small bruises on their bodies, as if they had been subjected to inhumane treatment.
“What is this place?” Jiang Nan frowned and asked.
Luo Ning let go of the other person’s hand and smiled like a lazy and charming fox, and slowly said.
“As you can see, this is their memory.”
On the hand that was let go, there still seemed to be the other person’s lingering warm touch. Jiang Nan was stunned for a moment, then the cold light reflected from the blade flashed, and she suddenly came back to her senses.
Before, although Luo Ning had grabbed her hand and made the blade on her hand stab into that person’s body, it was only then that the person emitted that black gas, whatever it was.
Luo Ning’s movements were very skilled and effortless, as if she was used to doing things like murder and arson.
In short, she didn’t seem like…
Her thoughts paused. She glanced at the side of Luo Ning’s face. She didn’t know what flashed in the depths of her eyes.
She didn’t seem like a useless person who couldn’t even pass the beginner’s dungeon.
Jiang Nan’s gaze was attracted by the change in the blade on her hand. She didn’t notice the doting smile that Luo Ning had on her face in an angle where others couldn’t see, like an elder accompanying a child, looking at her child’s growth with joy.
The blade in her hand had not touched bl00d, but the crimson cracks on it had increased.
