She's Crazy, I Love Her - Chapter 27
This is cheating.
She had taken a shortcut to intimacy.
In this world, in this world, is there anything more intimate than this?
Chi Yue stared at the ceiling, her lips parted slightly as she gasped for breath. Her face hovered between dazed and lucid, her skin flushed a delicate crimson, fine beads of sweat glistening on her temples and forehead.
Like a magnolia blossom wet with dew.
Qi You’s cheek rested against Chi Yue’s heaving chest. After a moment, she rolled over, lying back against the pillow.
The cool air rushed against their skin, rapidly cooling their lingering passion. Chi Yue reached for the blanket, which had been haphazardly pushed to the foot of the bed, and pulled it around herself.
When she turned back, she resisted the subconscious urge to snuggle closer to Qi You, instead retreating slightly to lie on her side of the bed.
As the afterglow of desire faded, she realized the curtains hadn’t been drawn. High above, swirling clouds seemed to drift past, obscuring the city’s neon lights. The glass window grew increasingly dark and clear, reflecting the languid exhaustion that permeated the room after their intimate encounter.
Chi Yue gazed at Qi You’s reflection in the glass for a long moment before turning her head.
Qi You was right beside her.
Lying against the pillow, her eyes were lightly closed, the tips of her brows and the corners of her eyes lifting slightly. Faint shadows of fatigue lingered beneath her eyes, her nose high and straight, both delicate and regal.
Her head rested on two stacked pillows, tilting her head back to reveal the smooth curve of her neck, her delicate collarbones, and her chest rising and falling in slow rhythm with her breath. Her narrow waist sank slightly into the pillow beside her.
The scene exuded a captivating, bewitching beauty.
If sexual allure could be ranked, Qi You would undoubtedly be SSS+ tier.
Chi Yue gazed at her, her mind racing with chaotic thoughts. Beneath the covers, her legs suddenly grew restless, moving slightly against the smooth sheets as if beyond her control.
Qi You opened her eyes and turned to look at Chi Yue.
Without a word, she reached out and gently touched Chi Yue’s delicate cheek, her fingertips slowly combing through the soft hair near her ear.
Chi Yue was utterly defenseless. Her eyes instantly welled with tears, stirred by a primal, surging emotion.
Qi You leaned closer, studying her intently.
Chi Yue’s heart raced under that intense gaze. She involuntarily moved her lips. “What?”
She didn’t even know what she was asking—perhaps why Qi You was looking at her like that, with such probing curiosity and palpable intensity.
Qi You was indeed curious, but not about the things Chi Yue might expect. She had long since exhausted questions about why these worlds existed, why Chi Yue was the protagonist, or how to escape them. She had even resorted to hidden methods, but the results had always been disappointing.
She was already bored.
At this moment, she was simply curious—curious about why Chi Yue was looking at her that way.
Those eyes, glistening with tears and yet timid, almost seductive.
Qi You said, “You’re very good at crying.”
Chi Yue’s face flushed crimson instantly, and she protested softly, “I’m not crying.”
Qi You leaned down and bit her lip.
Chi Yue’s eyelashes trembled, and she shuddered slightly.
She was so sensitive. Her arousal surged like a full, swaying river, unable to withstand even the slightest provocation. A gentle breeze was enough to control her, sending waves of pleasure rippling through her.
Chi Yue’s tears soaked the pillow.
Qi You pressed her lips against Chi Yue’s flushed ear and whispered, “Are you crying?”
Overwhelmed, Chi Yue sobbed and pushed Qi You away, “Take your hand off me.”
Qi You complied, removing her hand only to shove it into Chi Yue’s mouth. She ground against her teeth, pressed against the base of her tongue, stifling her cries.
Chi Yue tilted her head back, enduring the torment, looking utterly pitiful.
Qi You gazed down at her, her dark eyes remaining unfathomable even amidst the boundless spring passion. Only the sweat on her forehead betrayed the simultaneous surge of hormones and dopamine within her body.
Afterward, Qi You’s hand was pale and waterlogged, the fingertips wrinkled from prolonged immersion. The bedsheets were damp with tears, clearly unfit for further sleep.
Qi You immediately called customer service and asked hotel staff to come up and change the bedding.
Chi Yue, utterly exhausted and barely able to keep her eyes open, was slightly bewildered. “Now?”
Qi You hung up the phone, her tone matter-of-fact. “How else are we supposed to sleep?”
“But it’s three in the morning,” Chi Yue protested. “If they change it now, won’t everyone… know?”
Qi You countered, “Isn’t it normal for them to know?”
“No!” Chi Yue shook her head vigorously. “It’s not normal. Let’s have them change it tomorrow.”
Qi You stared at her.
“Can’t we just make do?” Chi Yue pleaded, her eyelashes fluttering. “It’s not that wet, right? I can sleep on this side, and you can take the clean side.”
“Hmm?” She tugged at Qi You’s hand, her voice soft and nasal like the rustle of feathers.
After a moment’s pause, Qi You called customer service again, canceling the bedding change and instead requesting an extra blanket.
The damp sheets were ripped off and tossed into a corner of the room. The two slept on the original blanket, covered by the fresh one.
Chi Yue finally relaxed, sinking into the clean, fragrant bedding, too tired to move even a finger.
Qi You was still awake, leaning against the headboard and scrolling through her phone.
Chi Yue yawned softly. “Aren’t you going to sleep?”
Qi You hummed in response and showed her the phone screen. “Buying finger sleeves with popping beads.”
Chi Yue squinted, still half-asleep. “Finger sleeves?”
Qi You waved her fingers in front of Chi Yue’s face. In the time it had taken to change the blanket, the skin on her fingers had mostly recovered, leaving only some uneven patches.
It took Chi Yue a few drowsy seconds to register what she was seeing. Her eyes widened slowly, and suddenly she wasn’t sleepy anymore.
Noticing her expression, Qi You, in a rare moment of consideration, reclined further and pulled up the shopping interface so they could browse together. There were various styles, flavors, and lengths.
Chi Yue stammered, “J-just get the basic ones. That’ll be fine.”
“The designer ones might be more comfortable,” Qi You suggested.
Chi Yue rested her head on Qi You’s shoulder, her gaze fixed on the strange product descriptions. She hesitated, then couldn’t resist whispering, “It’s not like you’re the one wearing them…”
Qi You glanced down at her.
Chi Yue quickly clamped her mouth shut, focusing intently on the phone screen. The soft glow illuminated her pale, delicate face, making her look particularly innocent and obedient.
After a moment, Chi Yue tentatively said, “I won’t need these this time. I’m going back tonight.”
Qi You replied, “We’ll use them next time.”
Chi Yue pressed her lips together and said, “Oh.”
Qi You proceeded to order over a dozen items, having them shipped directly to Little Tantan Mountain.
Chi Yue watched in alarm. “We… we won’t need all of these, will we?”
Qi You ignored her.
After ordering finger sleeves, she typed “toys” into the search bar.
As the chaotic interface appeared, Chi Yue’s breathing grew erratic, her warm breaths alternately light and heavy against Qi You’s shoulder, betraying her restlessness and anxiety.
Qi You casually clicked on a top-ranked item, its display model a gentle pink.
Before she could even ask, Chi Yue blurted out, “No.”
Qi You hummed in acknowledgment and swiped to the next page.
Chi Yue suddenly sat up, snatched the phone away, and declared, “No, none of these. I don’t want any of them.”
Qi You looked up, noticing the fear flickering in her eyes.
“I don’t like them. I… I can’t handle it,” Chi Yue murmured, her lips pressed together in a plea. “Can’t we just… do it like this?”
Qi You gently brushed her cheek with a finger. “Let’s try them first. You might end up liking them.”
Chi Yue shook her head, hiding her phone behind her back.
Qi You studied her for a moment, making no move to snatch the device. She didn’t agree, but instead ruffled Chi Yue’s hair before getting out of bed and heading to the bathroom.
Chi Yue quickly closed the app on her phone, but anxiety still gnawed at her.
At the end of the day, it was still cheating.
No matter how intimate they were, it was nothing more than a physiological urge, a physical addiction, a fleeting amusement born of boredom.
After today, after tomorrow, Qi You might not even want to speak to her anymore. How could she possibly care whether Chi Yue truly loved her?
The next morning, Zheng Qing sent someone to wake Qi You around seven o’clock. She had to visit a university in the city that morning.
The commotion was minimal, but it still roused Chi Yue. Slipping into her slippers, she went to the bathroom. “Are you going out?”
Qi You, brushing her teeth, mumbled an affirmative.
Chi Yue had no idea when Qi You had woken up. In her eyes, Qi You’s energy seemed almost supernatural. She ate little, slept even less, yet maintained an astonishingly high level of physical activity.
“When will you be back?” Chi Yue asked, forcing herself to sound alert.
Qi You placed her electric toothbrush in the cup. “I don’t know,” she replied.
Chi Yue hummed in acknowledgment, leaning against the door and tracing circles on the glass with her finger. “I have a morning shoot tomorrow,” she repeated. “As a newcomer, it’s not good to keep asking for time off, so I absolutely have to go back tonight.”
She wanted to remind Qi You that whether she returned to the hotel or not, she would definitely take a taxi home at the appointed time.
Instead, Qi You tilted her head and asked, “Is someone bullying you on set?”
Chi Yue blinked in surprise. “No, not at all,” she replied.
Qi You glanced at her, her gaze clear and piercing.
“Really, no one is,” Chi Yue insisted. “Sister He Wen takes good care of me on set. With her around, no one would dare bully me.”
Only then did Qi You withdraw her gaze.
After washing her face, Qi You left the room.
Chi Yue stepped inside and looked in the mirror. She had only slept three or four hours, and the previous night had been tumultuous. Her complexion was pale, and her lips were dry but vividly red, slightly pursed even when she wasn’t speaking.
Faint red marks lingered on her neck and collarbones, her entire body radiating a deep sense of having been thoroughly ravaged.
Thinking of Qi You’s refreshed and invigorated appearance, Chi Yue lowered her head, turned on the cold water tap, and splashed cool water on her face.
She looked up again, still dissatisfied, and frowned.
After glancing at herself in the mirror several times, she turned her attention to the bathroom counter. On the upper right side stood two electric toothbrushes in separate cups. One was pink and dry, her own, while the other was white and still wet, recently used by Qi You.
The toothbrush heads stood facing each other, separated by about ten centimeters.
Chi Yue stared at them for a moment before suddenly reaching out and turning the toothbrushes from facing each other to facing away from each other.
When she turned around, Qi You was leaning against the doorway, having watched her for an unknown amount of time.
“Throwing a tantrum?” Qi You asked.
Caught red-handed, Chi Yue startled, then felt guilty and embarrassed when she realized what she had been doing. “No, I wasn’t…”
Qi You ignored her denial, walked over, glanced at the toothbrushes, and said, “This is the first time I’ve seen someone throw a tantrum like this.”
“It’s not a tantrum! I was just moving them around,” Chi Yue’s face flushed crimson. She quickly changed the subject, “You, why haven’t you left yet?”
“There’s still time. No rush,” Qi You replied.
“Oh,” Chi Yue said.
Qi You walked to the counter, stopped, and reached out to turn the toothbrushes back to facing each other.
Watching her movements, Chi Yue felt a wave of heat surge up her back.
Fortunately, Qi You didn’t mock her childish behavior further. Instead, she reached out and gently pinched the tip of Chi Yue’s bright red ear, which peeked out from beneath her hair.
“Don’t get up to mischief,” Qi You warned, her tone both teasing and affectionate.
Chi Yue quickly looked up, her gaze skimming across Qi You’s face like a dragonfly skimming the surface of water.
“…Okay.”
