She's Crazy, I Love Her - Chapter 35
Qi You was no stranger to hunger. In fact, she often felt it, a gnawing emptiness that permeated her body and soul, a hunger that clung to her like a bone-deep tumor.
But this hunger felt detached, like an organ that had grown outside her body—a stomach pressed against her nerve endings, constantly contracting, silently following her. Only in the dead of night, or when she let her guard down, would its deformity cause it to wail.
So, in the most literal sense, she wanted to devour her.
To caress, restrain, fold, tear, crush.
To devour her.
To make her scream beneath her lips and teeth, to capture her again and again after each desperate attempt to escape.
“Did I bite too hard?”
“Be good and bear with it, okay?”
“Don’t be afraid. I’ll be gentle.”
“You’re so beautiful, so lovely. I adore you.”
“Of course it’s true.”
“I love you, I adore you. That’s why I can’t resist.”
She coaxed her with cold tenderness, greedily yet restrainedly inhaling the scent of her soft flesh, pressing her lips against her skin, nibbling and sucking, leaving deep, undulating marks.
The pleasure from her lips was intoxicating.
Chi Yue was completely enveloped by the scent of her body, the carnal warmth of their skin pressed together, the warmth spreading from her tongue to her heart, as if a new umbilical cord had formed between them. The sense of security and attachment lulled her into a drowsy haze.
Chi Yue was jolted awake by a sound.
But her body was too exhausted, utterly drained, so for a fleeting moment, her consciousness continued to drift in the darkness. It took her a long struggle to reconnect with reality.
The sunlight was bright and gentle.
A lazy, tranquil light and shadow enveloped the room.
The pillow was empty, save for her bare arm. Chi Yue blinked dazedly for a long moment before remembering to look down and lift the corner of the blanket. Qi You lay curled against her side, fast asleep, her face pressed against Chi Yue’s chest.
Chi Yue froze, then slowly released the blanket, letting it cover her. She remained motionless in her original position.
Closing her eyes again, her thoughts still sluggish, her senses gradually awakened. Waves of persistent pain and soreness washed over her.
Her fingers slowly clenched into a fist. Her eyes felt dry and ached slightly, yet she still wanted to cry.
Liar.
All those words—I like you, I love you—were nothing but lies.
She had begged her so desperately…
Liar.
She forced herself to stay still, but a faint tremor ran through her body. Before long, she couldn’t resist arching her back.
A few seconds later, Qi You emerged from under the blanket, her eyes still closed, her head automatically seeking Chi Yue’s shoulder to rest against.
Chi Yue quickly closed her eyes, pretending to be asleep.
The central air conditioning maintained the room at 26 degrees Celsius. The bedsheets were light and silky, and the only sound was the soft rhythm of breathing. Every subtle movement nearby was amplified in the stillness.
The weight on her shoulder lifted. Slowly, a gaze settled on her face, lingering quietly for a moment. Then came the rustle of fabric as the blanket was pulled back, separating their closely pressed bodies. A brief rush of fresh air touched her skin before the blanket settled back down.
A sudden emptiness settled in Chi Yue’s chest.
Qi You got out of bed and went to the bathroom, closing the door behind her to block out the sound.
After a few minutes, Chi Yue rolled over.
She drifted back to sleep for a while, but when she woke up again, she couldn’t find her phone on the corner of the bed. Unable to tell if it was morning or afternoon, she decided to get up.
Her clothes were scattered outside, but fortunately, a nightgown was draped at the foot of the bed.
Chi Yue put on the nightgown, washed up, and went to the living room, where she saw Qi You sitting on the sofa, playing with her phone.
Chi Yue didn’t say anything, quickly averting her gaze as she moved to the entryway, then to the kitchen island, circling around the coffee table.
“Looking for something?” Qi You asked.
“My phone,” Chi Yue replied, her lips pressed into a thin line. “I can’t remember where I put it.”
Qi You stood up, glanced around, and then called Chi Yue’s phone with her own.
A buzzing sound quickly echoed nearby.
After listening for a moment, Qi You leaned down, lifted the sofa cushions, and finally retrieved the phone from the gap between the armrest and the frame.
She handed it to Chi Yue.
“Thank you,” Chi Yue said, taking the phone and turning to leave. Qi You grabbed her wrist.
Chi Yue’s wrist was red, a ring of finger marks left from being restrained for too long, still visible even after several hours.
“Are you angry?”
Chi Yue twisted her wrist free and muttered, “No.”
Qi You watched her retreating figure without pressing further.
Chi Yue returned to her bedroom with her phone. Zhou Wei, whom she had just added to her chat app yesterday, had sent her over a dozen messages. The earliest message was from early this morning, and the latest had arrived just after noon, all asking about Qi You.
Chi Yue replied: Sorry, I haven’t checked my phone all day.
Immediately, a response came back: No worries, Qi You already told me.
Chi Yue typed and deleted several messages. She wanted to ask how things had gone yesterday, but felt she had no right to. In the end, she sent only an OK emoji.
Zhou Wei didn’t reply.
Chi Yue scrolled through her messages for a while longer: He Hongmei’s, the film crew’s, Tai Ying’s, Zhang Mu’s, Meina’s—
A soft knock sounded on the bedroom door. Tap.
Chi Yue’s fingers, which had been randomly swiping through pages, froze.
“The delivery’s here. Do you want to eat?”
Chi Yue didn’t look up. “I’m not hungry yet.”
Qi You didn’t say anything more. After a moment, footsteps approached.
Chi Yue’s other hand, resting on the blanket, began to clench.
Qi You walked to the foot of the bed, knelt down, and looked up at her. Chi Yue’s face was pale, but her eyes were still a little red, and her lips were also red, though dry and peeling.
“Chi Yue.”
Just hearing her name spoken made tears well up in Chi Yue’s eyes. She pressed her lips together tightly, but couldn’t hold back.
Qi You reached out to touch Chi Yue’s face, her gaze lingering on her lips before drifting to her slender neck. The thin straps of Chi Yue’s nightgown hung loosely on her snow-white shoulders, revealing faint, reddish-blue marks like sha.
“I was too rough last night,” Qi You said, lifting Chi Yue’s chin to meet her gaze. Her voice softened. “I apologize. I’m sorry.”
Tears immediately streamed down Chi Yue’s cheeks, and she let out a soft sob.
“Does it still hurt a lot?” Qi You asked.
Chi Yue shook her head, but the tears continued to flow.
Qi You gently wiped away her tears with her fingers, murmuring soothing words.
After a while, Chi Yue gradually calmed down.
Qi You went outside to pour her a glass of water. “It’s warm, you can drink it.”
Chi Yue cradled the glass in both hands, her eyelashes still trembling violently. She managed a few sips before setting it down, her breath catching in soft sobs.
Qi You’s slender fingers tapped the bottom of the glass. “Finish it.”
Chi Yue drained the water and handed the empty glass back to Qi You.
Qi You took it, her fingers brushing Chi Yue’s lips, now glistening with moisture. “You’re not angry anymore, right?”
Chi Yue didn’t answer.
After a pause, she asked, her voice soft and slightly nasal, “What… what happened with Pei Yi yesterday?”
Qi You looked at her, her expression neutral. “Pei Yi woke up.”
“Oh,” Chi Yue replied. “So everything’s fine now?”
“About right,” Qi You said, taking Chi Yue’s hand. “Let’s go eat first.”
Chi Yue stood up and followed her to the dining room.
The takeout boxes were printed with the name “Crystal Essence Pavilion.” The dishes and porridge were light and bland. Chi Yue was actually quite hungry, but exhaustion had dulled her appetite. Combined with the water she’d just drunk, she ate very slowly.
Midway through the meal, Qi You answered a call. “Leave it on the first floor, thank you.”
“What was that?” Chi Yue asked.
Qi You put down her phone. “Takeout.”
Chi Yue paused. “More food?”
“No, medicine.” Qi You stood up. “You finish eating. I’ll go get it.”
Chi Yue murmured an acknowledgment and watched her leave, the room suddenly silent.
Medicine? What kind of medicine does she need now?
Her boundless energy and immense strength… it must all come from these drugs.
Chi Yue couldn’t help but grumble inwardly, poking at the sweet pastry on her plate with her fork.
Qi You retrieved the takeout and immediately opened it in the living room. After washing her hands, she returned to find Chi Yue leaning over the coffee table, peering at the contents.
Qi You approached. “Chi Yue.”
Chi Yue looked up, her face flushed and her expression flustered.
She recognized the medicine. The family doctor had prescribed it for her at the hotel—pain relief and swelling reduction.
“I don’t need any medicine,” Chi Yue said, backing away.
“Didn’t you say you were in pain?” Qi You asked.
Chi Yue shook her head, then said, “I can do it myself.”
“Alright,” Qi You replied.
But she still pulled Chi Yue over to the single sofa and sat her down, then perched on the coffee table facing her.
Chi Yue’s face flushed crimson. She abruptly stood up and tried to move left, but Qi You blocked her with her leg. She tried to move right, and Qi You blocked her again.
When Chi Yue tried to step over her leg, Qi You grabbed her hand, tilted her head back, and said soothingly, “I won’t apply it there.”
Chi Yue lowered her gaze, then slowly sat back down.
Qi You unscrewed the cap of the white aluminum tube, handed it to Chi Yue, and tore open a small packet. “There are some spots you can’t reach. I’ll help you apply it.”
Chi Yue glanced quickly at Qi You’s fingers, then looked away. “Oh.”
But she couldn’t help but look again.
Chi Yue squeezed a dab of ointment onto the translucent fingertip applicator.
Qi You extended her index finger, paused, and said, “I forgot to use the ones I bought.”
Chi Yue didn’t reply, but she glared at her.
Qi You’s lips curved into a smile as she leaned forward slightly, using her other hand to tuck a strand of hair behind Chi Yue’s ear. “We’ll use them next time,” she murmured.
A cool sensation brushed against the nape of Chi Yue’s neck as the words trailed off.
Chi Yue hummed softly.
“Does it hurt?” Qi You asked, tilting her head, her warm breath brushing against Chi Yue’s flushed ear.
Chi Yue moved her lips, not saying it hurt, but instead, “It’s cold.”
Qi You softened her touch, her hand resting on Chi Yue’s slender neck, the skin thin, smooth, and pale.
She still remembered Chi Yue’s trembling and moans, the sensations seeping through their intertwined skin, climbing along the sucking tongue, and sinking deep into her stomach.
She had bitten Chi Yue, breaking the skin, tasting a hint of bl00d and flesh—the metallic tang and sweetness exploding in her mouth.
Her throat must have trembled with pleasure at that moment.
Qi You opened her mouth, agitated heat escaping with each breath.
Chi Yue’s sensitive neck twitched, her gaze drifting aimlessly.
Qi You glanced at her, paused briefly, then asked, “Will this affect your appearance on camera?”
Chi Yue snapped back to reality, avoiding Qi You’s gaze, her eyes glistening with a watery sheen and shimmering with scattered light. “I’ll need concealer. Concealer patches.”
Qi You hummed in acknowledgment, gently tracing the edge of the wound with her clean thumb while capturing Chi Yue’s gaze. She tilted her head and pressed her lips against Chi Yue’s in a familiar, lingering kiss.
A suffocating, tender kiss.
When they parted, Chi Yue gasped for breath, lowering her head after a long moment to squeeze more medicine onto her fingertip.
Arms, chest, waist, lower abdomen, even the sides of her legs—
Chi Yue hadn’t realized how much pain she was in until the medicine was rubbed in, revealing how scorching hot those areas had been.
Qi You knelt on the thick carpet, her delicate features lowered, soft strands of hair drifting near Chi Yue’s ear.
Chi Yue studied her shoulder—not rounded, but slender and smooth, muscles tracing the bones beneath the skin, lines sharp, delicate, and angular, pressing against her calf.
Qi You bit her.
And let Chi Yue bite back.
She bit Chi Yue’s leg, teeth sinking into the flesh.
She shoved Chi Yue’s hand into her mouth, roughly forcing her to swallow her fingers.
Chi Yue screamed, broke down, convulsed.
Utterly humiliated.
“You’re so beautiful like this,” Qi You murmured, her eyes fixed on Chi Yue with an almost obsessive gaze.
Chi Yue could only reach out to embrace her, both submissive and aggrieved, begging her to be gentle, to slow down, to be tender.
