Sir, You've Got The Wrong Person - Chapter 9
Yan Yiyi forced a weak smile. “That is my choice. If I want to block a sword for someone, I will. It has nothing to do with you, Young Master Chu, does it?”
Chu Mufeng paused while applying medicine, his smile fading and his expression turning cold.
Yan Yiyi felt uneasy under his stare. She instinctively moved back, her confidence weakening as she hesitantly looked at him. When she used to secretly follow him, his expression was always this cold, but since he wore a mask, she never felt fear. Even that day when he kissed her while watching her lose herself in emotion, his hand had ruthlessly branded her chest. He had seemed cruel and merciless then, but it was not as terrifying as his presence now.
“It seems I have interfered too much.” After staring at her for a long time, Chu Mufeng suddenly smiled again. The coldness was gone, his change in demeanor quicker than the shifting weather.
Yan Yiyi relaxed slightly, but she did not let her guard down. She watched him cautiously.
His mocking gaze lingered on her face for a moment before moving away. His eyes fell on the wound on her back, and he carefully sprinkled medicinal powder over it. Then, he glanced inside the room and saw a white cloth on the dressing table. After getting up, he took the white cloth and expertly wrapped her wound.
Yan Yiyi was confused by his actions but dared not ask. She was afraid of provoking him, so she only watched as he skillfully bandaged her wound.
“You keep looking at me, my wife. Do you have something to ask?” He tied the cloth into a knot and glanced at her casually.
“No… nothing.” Yan Yiyi shifts her eyes awkwardly.
He then, suddenly, reached out, lifting her chin. His dark eyes met her pale face.
“Wife, do you have nothing to explain about today’s events?”
“No… no.” His gaze made her nervous, causing her words to come out in a stammer. As soon as she finished speaking, she became frustrated with herself for sounding so weak. They had nothing to do with each other, so why should she explain anything to him?
Thinking this, she raised her hand and pulled his fingers away from her chin. She glanced at the door and said, “Young Master Chu, I need to rest now.”
His lips curled into a mocking smile. “What does your rest have to do with me?”
Yan Yiyi glared at him, unable to find her words. Frustrated, she pulled a blanket over herself and lay down on the pillow.
However, he suddenly lifts the blanket.
“What are you doing, Chu Mufeng?” she asked angrily.
“Nothing.” He smiled at her before swiftly bending down and scooping her into his arms. “I am not ready to wear the green hat yet.”
Yan Yiyi’s heart trembled. Was he planning to take her away? If he wanted to bring her back to his residence, why did she leave in the first place if he would only let him bring her back?
Determined, she gritted her teeth and shouted towards the door, “Assassin! Help—”
Before she could finish, Chu Mufeng swiftly sealed her pressure point, cutting off her voice. He narrowed his eyes at her and laughed. “Well done, Yan Yiyi.”
His cold smile sent a shiver down her spine. She instinctively shrank her neck, but her eyes remained stubborn.
Outside, the guards ran swiftly in response to her shout.
Yan Yiyi had not expected the mansion’s guards to react so swiftly and efficiently. She knew that with them here, she could escape Chu Mufeng, but she hesitated. Her actions felt too cruel. She watched him anxiously, hoping he would leave on his own.
Yet, Chu Mufeng acted as if he had not heard the commotion outside. He calmly glanced at her before turning and walking towards the bed. When he reached the bedside, he suddenly let go, dropping her onto the mattress. The movement pulled at her wound, making her wince in pain. She glared at him furiously.
Chu Mufeng glanced at her indifferently, ignoring her pain. He pushed her slightly toward the edge of the bed, then effortlessly flipped himself onto the inner side. He slightly pulled down the mosquito net and hid himself in the blanket. With a swift motion, he unsealed her voice and wrapped his arm around her waist, pulling her into his embrace.
He whispered near her ear, “Wife, my life is in your hands now. Do as you please.”
His voice was steady and composed, showing no sign of panic.
“You are not afraid that I…” Before Yan Yiyi could finish expressing her frustration, someone pushed open the door. Jun Tianyu entered, his expression was urgent, followed by a group of guards dressed in black.
“Miss Rumeng, are you alright?” Jun Tianyu anxiously asked Miss Rumeng if she was alright while quickly walking over to the bed.
“I… uh…” Yan Yiyi was about to answer, but Chu Mufeng’s hand, which had been around her waist, suddenly slid lightly along the curve of her back. A shiver ran through her spine, and she couldn’t help but let out a soft moan. Seeing Jun Tianyu’s brows tighten, she quickly stammered, “I… I’m fine… really.”
This man! Yan Yiyi endured in secret but dared not show any emotion on her face. She knew that by making a sound now, she could rid herself of this man and end her fear of him. Maybe Jun Tianyu would even think less of her, seeing her as someone without self-respect. That way, he wouldn’t feel obliged to take her into his residence because of some debt of gratitude. So she thought, Just speak up, just expose him…
But though her heart was shouting to reveal Chu Mufeng, each time the words reached her lips, she swallowed them back. Her hands gripped the quilt tighter and tighter without her noticing.
“Miss Rumeng, what’s wrong?” Jun Tianyu observed Miss Rumeng’s unusual behavior and gently asked about it.
“Ah?” Yan Yiyi was still struggling inside. When Jun Tianyu called her, she blankly responded without thinking.
Jun Tianyu glanced at her hand, which was nearly wrinkling the quilt. She forced a smile and softened her voice. “Sorry, Your Highness. I just want to say that my wound hurts a little. It’s nothing serious, though…”
But under the quilt, Chu Mufeng’s wicked fingers had slipped between her legs, sending waves of tingling sensation from her lower abdomen. Yan Yiyi was so angry tha she wanted to bite him, but right now, she could only clutch the quilt and endure.
“Hmm?” Seeing her face turning unusually red, Jun Tianyu frowned deeper. “Did your wound reopen? Or is it infected and causing a fever? Let me check.” As he spoke, he stepped to the bed and reached out to lift the bed curtain.
“N-no need, Your Highness! I just accidentally pulled the wound. It’s nothing serious, really,” Yan Yiyi said in a panic, pulling the quilt up a little and blushing. “I… I’ve already changed my clothes. If word got out about my state, it wouldn’t be good for my reputation…”
She discreetly bumped into Chu Mufeng with her hand under the quilt.
Jun Tianyu seemed to understand. He lowered his hand from the curtain and apologized. “Forgive me, I was careless.”
“It’s alright,” Yan Yiyi replied softly. She glanced casually toward the door and frowned. “Your Highness, I noticed there are many guards patrolling late at night. Did something happen in the residence?”
“Just now, I thought I heard someone shout ‘assassin.’ The sound seemed to come from this side, so I came to check. Did you hear anything, Miss?” Jun Tianyu asked.
Yan Yiyi shook her head and frowned. “I had already fallen asleep. I think I was woken up by some noise, but I’m not sure if it was someone calling for help. When I woke up, Your Highness had already entered.”
“I see.” Jun Tianyu nodded thoughtfully and looked around the room with sharp eyes. “Miss Rumeng, things haven’t been peaceful in the residence lately. To ensure your safety, I’d like my men to search this room thoroughly. Would that be alright with you?”
“Thank you for your concern, Your Highness. I don’t mind. If it makes everyone feel safer, please go ahead. Yan Yiyi replied politely, “Once the search is complete, I can rest more peacefully too.”
“Sorry to trouble you then,” Jun Tianyu said, then signaled the guards outside. They quickly came in and searched every corner of the room. However, since Yan Yiyi was lying on the bed and the guards did not have Jun Tianyu’s permission, no one dared to search under the bed itself.
“Your Highness, the room is clear,” the lead guard reported after the search.
Jun Tianyu waved them off. “You may go.”
Turning to Yan Yiyi, he said apologetically, “Sorry for disturbing you, Miss Rumeng. Please rest well. I will visit you again tomorrow.”
“Thank you, Your Highness,” Yan Yiyi replied meekly.
She watched Jun Tianyu leave and close the door. A low chuckle sounded in her ear just as she was about to exhale in relief. “My dear, why didn’t you expose me ? Could it be that you couldn’t bear to give me away?
As he spoke, Chu Mufeng suddenly nibbled on her earlobe, and his hand between her legs began to tease her again. Yan Yiyi’s body trembled, and she raised her hand to push him away. “Chu Mufeng, stop flattering yourself! If the prince saw a man in my bed, how would I ever hold my head up in front of him again?”
Her earlobe stung from his bite. Yan Yiyi frowned and turned her head, ready to scold him. But before she could speak, Chu Mufeng sealed her lips with a kiss.
Yan Yiyi dared not move too much due to the wound on her shoulder. She could only glare at him angrily.
Chu Mufeng lifted his eyes to glance at her lightly, but his kiss suddenly grew rough. Although his hands carefully avoided her injury, they still roamed over the rest of her body, stirring her until she felt dizzy. As unfamiliar waves of desire swept through her, she was soon left breathless, lying limp under him. Her breathing turned heavy, and the hair by her temples was damp with sweat.
I just lost out on a good opportunity because I was too soft-hearted. I should have let Jun Tianyu take Chu Mufeng away. Chu Mufeng was a distinguished guest invited by Jun Tianyu. Even if she found out that he was in her room, she would never make things difficult for him. Why was my brain stuck in the door just now?
Panting and lying on the bed, Yan Yiyi regretted so much that her intestines were in a knot. She actually let him flirt with her like this, and she couldn’t move at this moment.
“My wife,” Chu Mufeng gently lifted the wet hair from her forehead with his long fingers and slowly lowered his head and kissed her on the forehead. “It seems that your husband has tasted your sweetness. What should I do?
Yan Yiyi turned her head to avoid his kiss; her voice was cold: “Chu Mufeng, you only know how to use the same tricks on me as you do on prostitutes? Didn’t I just follow you a few times and accidentally spy on some unknown things of yours? You can kill me or chop me up, but why did you force me into a cave and humiliate me like this?”
Chu Mufeng smiled lightly, but his eyes suddenly turned cold. “I am a disgrace to you, but you are enjoying it so much. Yan Yiyi, you are nothing more than that.”
Yan Yiyi also smiled: “As long as a man treats me like this, I will have this reaction. Before I became Yan Yiyi, I was just a woman. What’s so strange about this?”
“That’s true.” Chu Mufeng’s smile deepened, and he suddenly leaned over to whisper in her ear, “It’s normal for a woman who hangs out with dancers in a brothel to have such a reaction. I wonder what the prince would think when he sees such a charming Miss Rumeng?”
As he spoke, he glanced meaningfully out the door.
Yan Yiyi was startled and turned to look outside the door; just at this moment, the door was pushed open again.
“Miss Rumeng.”
Jun Tianyu had already appeared at the door and seemed to be stunned when he saw Chu Mufeng on the bed.
Yan Yiyi’s face turned from red to white and then to red, and she called out “Prince” awkwardly.
Chu Mufeng just greeted Jun Tianyu naturally.
