Snatching My Stepsister's White Moonlight Omega - Chapter 1
Star Era 3025, Kaman Port, Fifth District.
As dusk fell, the setting sun cast a shimmering expanse of molten gold across the sea. The waves surged and receded, punctuated by the occasional cry of a seagull as it soared toward the horizon where sea met sky.
In a hotel suite not far from the docks, passionate moans rose and fell in rhythm with the intertwining pheromones.
The curtains were drawn low, casting the room in a warm, hazy gloom that transformed twilight into a semblance of midnight.
The bed was a scene of disarray, damp patches scattered across the sheets radiating a potent pheromonal scent. The entwined figures lay drenched in sweat, as if they had been pulled from the sea.
“Not enough… still not enough…” The Omega clung tightly to the person in her arms, her nose and lips nuzzling against the Alpha’s nape, where her scent gland pulsed. “Let me mark you just once…”
The Alpha’s face flushed deeper, her breath coming in ragged gasps that fragmented her words. “No… wait… until… this is over…”
“Fine… just let me kiss you…” The Omega pressed a soft kiss to the Alpha’s scent gland, then greedily extended her tongue, tracing it slowly across the sensitive skin.
“Mmm…” The Alpha groaned softly, her cedar-scented pheromones spreading from the nape of her neck, infusing the air with a crisp, icy freshness.
“I love you so much…” the Omega murmured, her voice low, as the fragrance of lilies bloomed even more intensely in the air.
As the sun gradually sank into the sea, streetlights began to illuminate the streets. Inside the suite, where heavy curtains were drawn, the Omega sighed with lingering satisfaction. “Next time we meet, you won’t treat me like this.”
The Alpha’s body still trembled slightly. Her voice was soft, but her tone was utterly earnest. “I’ll court you again.”
“Alright, I’ll be waiting,” the Omega replied, kissing her lips and smoothing back her sweat-dampened sideburns.
Ten days later, aboard the Eternal Summer.
Night had just fallen as the luxurious yacht glided smoothly and slowly across the sea. Inside the brightly lit banquet hall, guests were impeccably dressed, attending a formal yet tedious engagement party for the wealthy elite.
Xu Chen was weaving through the crowd with a tray of drinks when someone suddenly grabbed her arm.
“Song Jinyu?” the person asked, their voice trembling.
Xu Chen jumped in surprise. Being suddenly stopped was one thing, but what was with that name?
“Excuse me, I think you’ve mistaken me for someone else.” She turned to face the Alpha, whose eyes were bloodshot and whose pheromones carried a faint scent of incense. She flashed a practiced, professional smile.
When Xu Chen took in the Alpha’s champagne-colored evening gown, its neckline glittering with diamonds, and the Beta’s crimson dress with its long train dragging on the floor, she felt a headache blooming across her entire body.
It was obvious: these two were the stars of tonight’s engagement ceremony.
“I’d recognize you even if you were reduced to ashes,” the Alpha said, tears streaming down her meticulously made-up face. “Why… today? Why?”
Curious glances darted their way, and whispers spread like a rising tide.
The Beta, the other half of the engaged couple, stood rigid, her face livid and her teeth clenched. Her eyes burned with hatred as she glared at Xu Chen, yet they also held a flicker of surprise, suspicion, and fear.
The situation was dire, and Xu Chen desperately wanted to escape. She quickly scanned her surroundings and spotted a distinctive figure.
The person sat in a meticulously designed smart wheelchair, their shirt and trousers crafted from the finest materials. Every inch of their being radiated an aura of aloof nobility.
Long, black hair cascaded smoothly over their shoulders, framing a face with striking features and no trace of makeup. Their large, dark eyes held a scrutinizing gaze, yet the corners of their lips curved upward slightly, leaving it unclear whether they were pleased or displeased.
Though no pheromones wafted from them, it was immediately clear that they were immensely wealthy.
“Apologies, the Supervisor needs me,” Xu Chen said with a polite smile, increasing the force of her struggle against the Alpha’s grip while simultaneously tripping over her own feet.
With this perfectly executed maneuver, an entire tray of red wine crashed onto the wheelchair—and onto the cold beauty herself.
Red wine glasses rolled across her lap, staining her ice-blue shirt with mottled crimson, while her white trousers became a ghastly sight.
“I’m so sorry! I’m so sorry!” Xu Chen stammered, apologizing repeatedly as she wrenched her arm free. This time, she succeeded. She immediately lunged toward the wheelchair, grabbed the wine glasses, and set them aside before removing her vest to wipe the red wine from the woman’s clothes.
She deliberately leaned in close, her forehead nearly touching the other woman’s shoulder. The blended vest wasn’t very absorbent; her frantic rubbing only spread the red wine around.
Amidst the fragrant aroma of the wine, a sharp, icy presence suddenly flickered for a moment. Xu Chen startled and looked up, meeting a pair of eyes that held a hint of anger, yet whose lashes trembled slightly.
“Jinyu?” A middle-aged man’s voice rang out, and Xu Chen was abruptly grabbed by the arm and hauled to her feet.
Enough already! she thought. Why does everyone think they can just manhandle a waitress like this?
Ah, right. Waitresses are indeed treated like rag dolls.
Xu Chen reluctantly turned her head and saw a middle-aged man with a refined, scholarly air. He gripped her arm tightly, his gaze filled with scrutiny.
“Good evening, madam,” Xu Chen managed a strained smile.
“You… don’t recognize us?” The man’s expression rapidly shifted between confusion, bewilderment, and elation before settling into profound heartache. “Have you lost your memory?”
“Ah,” Xu Chen uttered a short, noncommittal sound.
Xu Chen had assumed the fake name was from her fish-keeping days, but it turned out to be related to her lost memories… Wait a minute—the friends and family attending this engagement party must be incredibly wealthy!
“You have amnesia?” The Alpha protagonist of the engagement party widened her eyes in shock. “I knew it… How could you possibly…”
The Beta protagonist gripped the Alpha’s arm tightly, her fingers pressing small dents into the skin beneath the champagne-colored half-sleeve. Xu Chen could almost feel the phantom pain.
“Achoo!” The red wine victim covered her nose and sneezed softly.
“I’m so sorry,” Xu Chen said, turning to the only seated person beside her. “Where do you live? I’ll take you to change.”
“Mm,” the person replied, glancing up at the middle-aged woman. “Auntie, I’ll go change first and come back later.”
“Go on,” the woman said, releasing her hand with a warm smile.
The smart wheelchair smoothly pivoted over a hundred degrees and glided toward the banquet hall exit. Xu Chen followed steadily behind, her gaze lingering on the back of the person’s head above the chair’s backrest.
Beneath her long black hair, the state of her glands remained hidden. Had the scent she’d caught earlier been a mere illusion?
“What’s your name?” The person in the wheelchair tilted her head back to ask, her expression surprisingly gentle, as if she weren’t angry at all.
“I’m Xu Chen. My colleagues call me Sunny,” Xu Chen replied in her usual light and melodious voice.
“My surname is Lin. Lin Xiangwan,” the woman said, offering her name without further elaboration.
Xu Chen murmured a polite greeting but didn’t press the conversation. Forcing someone to crane their neck to talk would be rude. For the next long while, she silently observed the deep gray wheelchair.
The wheelchair’s design was minimalist and sleek, its joints seamlessly integrated, and its operation nearly silent—a testament to advanced technology.
The two wheels and two leg-like supports glided through the crowd, out of the banquet hall, and down a long corridor before stopping at a door. Lin Xiangwan tilted her head back again. “Want to come in and sit for a while?”
Xu Chen smiled and agreed, “Sure.”
As soon as she spoke, the door slowly opened, revealing the cruise ship’s most luxurious ocean-view suite.
The carpet, sofa, and coffee table were spotless. A figure in a suit stood silently before the floor-to-ceiling windows, which offered an unobstructed view.
The wheelchair glided smoothly into the room, followed by Xu Chen. The door closed automatically behind her with a soft mechanical click.
The person by the window turned, revealing a perfectly symmetrical but utterly unremarkable face.
Speaking with an almost expressionless demeanor, her voice was indistinguishable from a human’s, yet her tone remained utterly flat. “Welcome, guest. I am CEO Lin’s smart butler, Xiao Lin.”
Xu Chen realized this was an android with a human-like appearance. Just as she was about to speak, Lin Xiangwan suddenly stood up from the wheelchair in her peripheral vision, startling her.
“You can walk?” Xu Chen blurted out in shock.
“Ah, my apologies,” Lin Xiangwan said with genuine politeness. “I have a slight limp that’s rather unsightly in public, but I can manage my daily life independently.”
Xu Chen suddenly felt she had spoken out of turn. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to be rude.”
“It’s quite alright,” Lin Xiangwan replied with a warm smile, taking two steps forward. Her left foot landed with a slight, unnatural stiffness.
“That’s it,” she said, turning to gaze intently at Xu Chen, her eyes seeking an answer, a response.
“I can’t really tell,” Xu Chen replied with a sincere expression.
Lin Xiangwan nodded, her gaze remaining fixed on Xu Chen as she asked with solemn earnestness, “May I pursue you?”
“Ah?” Xu Chen was taken aback. She had flirted with many and been flirted with in return, but this was the first time someone had asked her so formally.
“You must have noticed… I’m not a Beta,” Lin Xiangwan finally averted her gaze. “I never planned to marry and routinely use suppressants. Please keep this confidential. My pheromones are quite common and not unpleasant.”
Xu Chen didn’t rush to respond, silently processing the information. At a wedding banquet where she had just encountered someone who might be a relative, she had met a disguised Alpha pretending to be a Beta. Their conversation had ranged from her limp to pheromones, and now the Alpha was proposing courtship and marriage.
Could I be a long-lost heiress from a wealthy family?
“I need time to consider,” she replied cautiously, meeting Lin Xiangwan’s gaze.
“Alright,” Lin Xiangwan replied, as if she had anticipated this answer. With an elegant gesture, she gestured toward the sofa. “Please sit down. You can get anything you want to drink from the bar.”
“Thank you,” Xu Chen said with a polite smile, walking over to the sofa and sitting down. She lowered her head to examine the soiled vest in her hands.
Out of the corner of her eye, Xu Chen saw Lin Xiangwan slowly walk toward the bedroom, the robot following closely behind. The two entered one after the other, and the bedroom door closed softly.
Xu Chen unfolded the vest, folded the wet side inward, and laid it on the sofa. She raised her wrist to activate her terminal, opened the messaging app, and sent a message to her supervisor.
Sunny: Boss, who’s getting engaged today?
Yongxia Banquet Hall Supervisor Wu: Both from the Second District. Song Jinshi, the eldest daughter of Lingshu Technology, and Lu Xingye, the owner of Stardust Dynamics. Heard you left with Lin Xiangwan? Good for you, no need to rush back.
Sunny: Who’s Lin Xiangwan?
Yongxia Banquet Hall Supervisor Wu: Seriously? You… don’t even read news from other districts? She’s the owner of Deep Space Technology, ranked second on the Golden Bachelor Beta list. She’d be number one if she weren’t in a wheelchair.
Xu Chen inwardly gasped.
