Souvenir - Chapter 12
Something nearby smells like it’s rotting, but if it’s coming from me, then I suppose it doesn’t matter.
Besides, my sense of smell is already fading.
What happened to me after that?
After I screamed like a wild animal, my memory completely cuts off.
But none of that matters anymore.
In the end, we all die alone.
Now, I finally understand what that truly means.
And I’m witnessing it firsthand.
Our days together…
Maybe they were just a dream.
A dream I crafted for my own convenience.
Something brushes against my cheek.
My fingers graze against something cold and hard.
A gentle breeze stirs the air around me.
I don’t even know if I’m breathing anymore—
But somehow, I feel good.
Fragments of my happiest moments with you resurface.
I want to keep watching them, over and over.
I want to stay in that place forever.
Again, and again.
I will never open my eyes again.
Even now, I am lost—drifting between the present and the past, trapped in a dream with no beginning and no end.
For eternity.
From now on.
Forever.
