Spoiled Rotten by the CEO After a Contract Marriage - Chapter 16
Chapter 16: Rapid Progress
“Your brother has quite the imagination.” After looking over the basic setup, Yang Yuyang couldn’t help but marvel at Si Li’s audacity.
This was his first time seeing such an unconventional comic on a legitimate domestic website.
Chapter 1: In the car. Chapter 2: In the kitchen. Chapter 3: The swimming pool.
Did this kid apprentice at a flower market? (A Chinese slang term referring to a place associated with explicit content).
Mu Junyu cleared his throat: “His original intention was to create a clichéd comic about a marriage of convenience that leads to love.”
“And it ended up fast-forwarding to love first, right?”
“…Pretty much.”
Yang Yuyang offered his serious opinion: “Actually, his art style is good. If he’s willing to draw properly, it’s only a matter of time before he becomes famous.”
“Of course, I know that, but he just won’t change, and I can’t do anything about it. His work is currently online overseas, but it doesn’t have much traffic, so he wants you to help out.”
In fact, he had advised Si Li not to make it so explosive, but Si Li was highly skilled and bold, insisting that he would not accept “cultural castration.” He firmly stated that adult relationships should look like adult relationships!
Mu Junyu really couldn’t persuade him and could only let him have his way.
Fortunately, foreign control over this area was not strict, allowing Si Li’s comic to go online. However, after going online, he ran into a major problem: a senior figure was suppressing him and not giving him more traffic.
Si Miu could easily solve this kind of issue, but Si Li, the foolish boy, insisted that relying on himself was the mark of a true man and wouldn’t let Si Miu help him.
Mu Junyu had no choice but to ask Yang Yuyang for assistance.
“I don’t mind at all,” Yang Yuyang was happy to help others.
You Wenchen coughed: “But is this content appropriate to release domestically?”
“Yangyang has an overseas account.”
Yang Yuyang had a significant number of fans both domestically and internationally, and he operated under several aliases: virtual idol, cosplayer, cover singer, and occasionally a dance section UP (content creator). Each account, excluding bot followers, had millions of genuine fans. Posting a single piece of work could easily generate a lot of traffic.
You Wenchen continued to refuse: “It’s so revealing, I don’t think it’s appropriate.”
As he spoke, he looked at Si Miu, his eyes questioning him: What are you doing? How can you tolerate your brother drawing this kind of thing?
Si Miu pretended not to notice; he didn’t want to discourage Si Li’s enthusiasm.
Mu Junyu, remembering You Wenchen’s interest in Yang Yuyang, quickly added: “He’ll definitely be wearing clothes during the cosplay; he can’t possibly pose naked. It’s just that the clothing… is rather sexy. Yangyang, take a look.”
Yang Yuyang took a look: “It’s fine.”
It gave off a nude apron vibe—it looked revealing, but it only really exposed the shoulders and collarbone.
He had shot similar styles before and found it acceptable.
Mu Junyu scoffed, deliberately looking at Si Miu: “I also think it’s fine, but some people think it’s too revealing.”
Si Miu pinched his waist. If you want to wear it, you can wear it just for me. Wearing it for others is out of the question!
“Can you take the photos for me?” Yang Yuyang cupped his face and looked at You Wenchen, his black, jewel-like eyes sparkling with anticipation.
Mu Junyu made a sarcastic, drawn-out Oh-ho sound.
So proactive. It looks like things are progressing quickly between them. Boss Zhuang was truly a brilliant fortune-teller; he was spot-on when reading relationships.
You Wenchen had been resistant, but upon hearing Yang Yuyang wanted him to take the photos, he immediately beamed: “Yes.”
Posting the photos was one thing; the actual person would only be seen by him!
“Thank you. I’ll give you Si Li’s contact information, and you can coordinate with him directly. Oh, he’s returning to China tomorrow. If you two are free, you can meet up and make friends.”
Si Li and Yang Yuyang were both very interesting people and would surely become friends quickly.
“Sounds good.”
A thoughtful look flashed in You Wenchen’s eyes beneath his glasses. He decided to have a “good chat” with Si Li tonight.
After dinner, everyone went their separate ways.
As soon as Yang Yuyang entered the house, Fanfan and Zhouzhou pounced on him. He nearly fell over, but You Wenchen behind him quickly reached out and held him.
“Are you okay?”
“I’m fine, you two little rascals, trying to kill your dad?” Yang Yuyang scolded them while hugging them.
You Wenchen said: “They must be hungry. I’ll open a can of food for them.”
Upon hearing this, Fanfan and Zhouzhou immediately abandoned Yang Yuyang and gravitated towards You Wenchen.
Yang Yuyang pointed at them: “You two opportunists!”
“Meow meow meow!” If we aren’t opportunists, we’ll starve to death!
You Wenchen placed the can on the floor and stood up: “You should go shower first; I’ll take care of them.”
“You go shower too; don’t worry about them. They’ll go back to their rooms to sleep once they’re full.”
You Wenchen had quite a bit of wine just now. Yang Yuyang didn’t want to trouble him and urged him back to the room to rest.
“Alright, then. Good night.”
“Good night~”
Yang Yuyang returned to his room. Halfway through his shower, the water suddenly stopped. He had no choice but to wrap himself in a bathrobe and go seek You Wenchen’s help.
Upon hearing his knock, You Wenchen casually wrapped a towel around his lower body and rushed to open the door, ignoring his wet hair: “Yangyang, what’s wrong?”
Yang Yuyang’s eyes widened in a direct stare.
So, this is what You Wenchen looked like without glasses. Compared to his usual gentle, refined appearance, he looked fiercer and more masculine without them.
His gaze drifted downward, his eyes getting wider, the emotion ineffable.
“Yangyang?” You Wenchen touched his cheek.
Yang Yuyang snapped back to attention, blushing: “The water stopped halfway through my shower, and I don’t know what to do.”
“I’ll go check.” You Wenchen walked ahead of him.
Yang Yuyang watched his back from behind, trying hard not to swallow.
He’s so strong, he could probably take my life with one punch.
But my cousin often says that overly muscular men tend to be… awkward in certain areas… No way, no way, no way.
Yang Yuyang’s mind raced with random thoughts as he followed You Wenchen into the bathroom.
The two didn’t notice they were standing right under the showerhead. You Wenchen fiddled with the knob, but there was no response. He then tapped it twice, and the showerhead immediately sprayed water, startling both of them.
You Wenchen held his hand over Yang Yuyang’s head and pulled him back: “Are you okay?”
Yang Yuyang wiped the water droplets from his face: “I’m fine, but why did the water only flow for a moment and then stop again?”
“The water pipe might have a problem. Go use my shower first; I’ll have someone fix it tomorrow.”
“Okay.”
Yang Yuyang turned to leave, not noticing the bath soap residue that had dispersed on the wet floor. He immediately slipped.
Luckily, You Wenchen was right behind him and caught him, or he would have had a very sore rear end tonight.
Yang Yuyang was shaken and profusely bowed in apology to You Wenchen: “Thank you, thank you.”
You Wenchen had caught him twice today. Being strong certainly had its benefits.
“It’s nothing,” You Wenchen helped him steady himself.
The towel wrapped around You Wenchen’s waist came undone due to the sudden movement. Yang Yuyang happened to see it while bowing in apology and froze stiff at a ninety-degree angle.
Only one thought remained in Yang Yuyang’s mind: Mu Junyu lied to me!
