Sylvie, the Slave Girl (Lily Futa) - Chapter 7
Sylvie silently watched Wei Qing’s immersive actions.
The woman’s body language clearly surprised Sylvie.
She stayed quiet for a moment and subtly dodged the hand that seemed to try pinching her face.
“Master? “What are you doing?” she said with a timid voice.
Wei Qing suspiciously hesitated for a moment.
My introverted kid finally spoke!
“Oh, nothing, just eat your food,” Wei Qing said.
The woman lowered her raised hand as Sylvie wished, though her expression looked somewhat regretful.
She propped her chin with her hand, her face lazy.
The short conversation seemed to end there.
Sylvie hesitated for a moment.
Her lips moved slightly, and she quickly made a decision.
She slightly raised her eyes, making her expression look somewhat confused.
After a brief silence, her long eyelashes trembled.
“Am I… allowed to eat without crying first?” she says.
She decided to repeat some familiar dialogue to distinguish this time from the past.
“Previous masters only gave me moldy bread and water…” she said.
Her voice softened deliberately, carrying a slight tremble that stirred pity.
Sylvie glanced at the woman.
Wei Qing blinked her eyes and scratched her head.
Sylvie almost frowned.
The woman didn’t show sympathy or anything similar.
Instead, she looked like she didn’t know how to handle the situation.
Sylvie thought hard for a moment.
“…Uh… that’s rough,” Wei Qing said.
Then she pondered for a moment.
“It’s not impossible,” she added.
Not impossible? What’s not impossible?
“I don’t have moldy bread… If you feel pressured, you can cry before eating,” Wei Qing said.
Her voice sounded serious.
She blinked her eyes, thinking she was incredibly understanding.
After Wei Qing spoke, her eyelids visibly trembled.
What was that? Was she touched?
Wei Qing’s eyes narrowed slightly.
She felt admiration for her perfect linguistic art.
Sylvie didn’t know where the awkwardness came from.
But, no matter, how could there be a problem?
She would follow her master’s words.
Her eyelashes lifted, and her gaze focused on the woman’s jaw; tears quickly shimmered in her eyes.
She noticed her slightly quickened heartbeat; or rather, it had been slightly fast since the moment she saw the woman at the door.
It was the excitement of breaking free from the endless, unsolvable cycle.
This was truly different.
In her heated eye sockets, Sylvie recalled the repeated scene.
That man would hypocritically comfort her, pat her head, touch her face, and subtly brush her neck.
The girl’s eyelashes trembled slightly.
The corners of her reddened eyes grew wet.
Wei Qing’s chewing didn’t stop.
She raised her eyebrows in surprise.
“Huh… what? I was kidding, are you really crying?” Wei Qing says, widening her eyes.
She touched her chin and paused in confusion.
“Did my tone sound that serious?”
The frail girl lowered her head.
Her silver hair draped over her thin shoulders and neck.
She didn’t speak or look at Wei Qing.
Her shoulders trembled, holding back tears.
Wei Qing stayed silent for a moment.
She thought it looked pitiful and almost felt guilty.
Her expression turned somber.
She bit the bread in her hand.
“Don’t cry, I was just saying that. You don’t have to be so obedient,” she says.
She hesitated for a moment and reached to pat Sylvie’s head.
Sylvie’s body stiffened slightly.
The hand on her head rubbed briefly and stopped.
Sylvie kept her head down, her emotions unclear.
Wei Qing’s gaze drifted for a moment.
She noticed no signs of increased affection.
Damn, this was one of the few normal ways to boost affection in the game.
Has it worked? Or could she just not see the data?
Her expression grew more resentful.
Sylvie slightly raised her eyes and saw the woman’s expression looked even sadder than hers.
But that hand finally withdrew.
Sylvie’s lips moved slightly.
“Lift your head, eat, yes, that’s yours, open your mouth, good,” Wei Qing says.
“Master…” Sylvie says.
“Don’t talk, swallow first,” Wei Qing says.
“Master…” Sylvie says.
“Did you say thank you?” Wei Qing says.
“…Thank… you…” Sylvie says.
“No need to thank me,” Wei Qing says.
Wei Qing smiled gently, thinking Sylvie was a polite good kid.
“Master,” Sylvie says.
“Hm?” Wei Qing says.
“I can eat by myself,” Sylvie says.
“Oh,” Wei Qing says.
Wei Qing regretfully withdrew her hand.
She was still thinking if this could increase some favorability.
Sylvie shifted her body slightly, trying not to sit face-to-face with the woman.
She felt the current scene was quite strange after that somewhat bizarre conversation.
She took a small bite of the bread.
In her peripheral vision, the woman tilted her head, staring at her.
Her light-colored, pretty eyes openly showed curious scrutiny.
Sylvie hid her discomfort and gripped the fork tightly.
Her gaze fixed on the bowl in front of her.
How long would this person keep staring at her?
This time… this somewhat eerie and strange woman.
Wei Qing felt her dull life finally gained some fun.
It was pretty interesting, right?
With this thought before bed, she calmly closed her eyes.
In the pitch-black vision, a few lines of text slowly appeared.
