Takezawa's Ghost - Episode 12
“…Why am I still alive?”
He muttered as he looked at the white ceiling.
I’m not an expert on the anatomy of the human body, but his organs were sticking out. I find it gross that he didn’t die from that.
Look around.
It appears to be a hospital room.
However, it’s quite dingy.
There are noticeable stains on the bottom of the wall, and bugs are flying around everywhere.
There are three other beds, but none of them is occupied. However, the sheets are dirty and yellowed, so it’s obvious they haven’t been washed for days.
Isn’t it essential for hospitals to be kept clean?
Well, it suits someone like me.
“Huh? Takezawa-san. Have you woken up yet?”
A woman dressed in a white nurse’s uniform suddenly walks in and calls out to me.
She looks at me, and even through the mask, I can see that she has a beautiful appearance.
But his eyes are dead.
They have no interest in me.
“Yes. Thanks to you.”
“That’s good for you.”
In response to my casual reply, the nurse also gave a casual response.
“But it’s Michi-chan who should be thanking me, not me.”
“…Who is that?”
 Oops.
His dead eyes turned into one of disgust.
I’m a little nervous.
“…She’s the ghost girlfriend who brought you to this hospital.”
Ah.
So that was the name of that female student ghost.
“Normally, you can’t be admitted here or even found here unless you know a psychic.”
“Hmm…Eh? Maybe this is the type of hospital that offers ghost insurance?”
A system I imagined when I was being beaten up by a kid.
Ghost insurance covers damage caused by ghosts.
“Huh? What’s that lame name? Well, there is insurance that covers illnesses and injuries caused by curses.”
Alright!
A ghost. No, Michi. Well done!
I don’t have much money anyway, so this is a big help.
“That’s appreciated. I’ll thank you later.”
I think that was the biggest smile I’ve seen in months.
“You’re just… nothing.”
The fact that he started to say something and then stopped means that he was about to say something not very nice.
It bothers me, but I try not to ask.
I don’t feel any physical pain, but my mind is still quite weak.
……….
1:12 am.
The person I was waiting for. No, the spirit I was waiting for had come.
A ghost with long bangs.
This time’s MVP is Michi-sama.
“Oh.”
“…I thought you were asleep.”
I’ve been waiting for this thing ever since I got into bed at 9pm, my usual bedtime.
I’m good at staying up all night.
Michi looks down at the bandages wrapped around my head, arms, and legs.
“I’m sorry. If only I had helped sooner…”
“Well, I suppose so.”
This guy wanders around my neighborhood, so there’s a good chance he was at the scene of the lynching.
I was always available to help, but I waited until the last minute to do anything.
Why?
Probably because he was siding with the kid.
Well, it’s the same ghost, so that’s to be expected.
But in the end, he came to me.
He possessed me.
I don’t know what triggered it, but the result is what matters.
Best of all, they took me to a cheaper hospital.
So, this is the time to express my gratitude.
“But let me say this. Thank you.”
Again, this guy goes silent.
It’s annoying when kids are so talkative, but I want some words, even if they’re just a tenth of what they are.
I won’t know unless you tell me.
Yeah, I barely know this guy.
Until just now, I didn’t even know his name.
“…Please don’t get angry at that child.”
“Yeah?”
I waited for about 2 minutes, and then he started talking about something else.
“I gave you a harsh warning. I’d be happy if you’d help me get my revenge once you’re released from the hospital.”
“…Hah.”
I couldn’t help but laugh at that outrageous suggestion.
He was trying to follow up on that brat.
To be honest, I don’t want to get involved with that anymore, but I’ll accept it for the sake of this strangely kind ghost.
“Okay.”
Michi looks up and says.
“……thank you”
Judging from the tone of his voice, I thought he might be laughing.
“……Hey”
“Yeah?”
“Show me your face.”
“picture!?”
Michi is in a panic.
“That much is fine. Those annoying bangs. It’s been bothering me for a long time.”
“Ehh…it’s gross?”
“You think I’d back down just because of that?”
Michi resignedly pushes her bangs aside.
“Y-Yes.”
“…I see.”
He is missing his right eyeball and has burn scars on his forehead and cheeks.
Was his eyeball taken away as a result of the bullying?
“A-Are you okay now?”
“Ah.”
I was a little angry at the people who bullied him.
“…Hey.”
“W-what now?”
He seems scared, but this should work to his advantage.
“Shall I avenge the remaining two as well?”
It had been a long time since I had felt annoyed by someone, and I didn’t know how to vent my frustrations, so I made the suggestion.
“…Yes. Thank you very much.”
Michi was probably happy when she answered that way.
