Takezawa's Ghost - Episode 5
After considering their priorities, they decided to grant the ghost’s wish first.
He felt guilty for saying too much, and it was obvious that, unlike me, it wasn’t just a wish that had just happened recently.
He said that he was weak, but he could appear as a ghost. It would take a certain amount of energy to do that. I don’t know though.
“But you can’t kill them.”
But there is a line I won’t cross.
I’m sick of it.
To experience that feeling.
“In return, I promise I’ll make him regret what he’s done to you. I promise.”
<……I understand.>
I can’t see because of her hair getting in the way, but I can see the dissatisfied look on her face.
“After”
<What else?>
Before I could say anything, he interrupted me with a text.
This guy is already getting fed up with how much of a hassle I am.
“Yeah, but this is the last time.”
<Okay then.>
“Only one person can do it.”
I said before that this guy has people wanting him dead. Plural.
Numbers are powerful in themselves, and even if you go one at a time, there’s a risk that someone with good intuition will realize that it’s their turn next.
For a guy like me with no redeeming features, one is the limit.
“If that’s okay, I’ll cooperate.”
silence.
While I waited for a reply, I counted.
It’s an old habit. I have a bad habit of counting the time it takes the other person to reach a decision. By the way, it’s rare for anyone to take more than a minute.
Anyone who feels like they’re making someone wait will feel anxious about replying quickly.
But this ghost surpassed that with ease.
2 minutes 47 seconds.
Do you lose your sense of time when you become a ghost?
Or was it such an important choice?
<…That’s fine. If you can get revenge on one person, I’ll let you see the ghost of your boss.>
“The deal is done.”
“I heard she married the captain of her high school baseball team.”
Kanzaki Miiko’s latest social media post included a photo of a man and woman wearing wedding rings, along with the message, “We got married!”
Likes are about 100.
subtle.
“I thought she was the manager of the baseball team? What should we do? Should we use her husband for some kind of revenge?”
<No, her husband is innocent, so they’re only targeting Miiko Kanzaki>
“…Oh right.”
It doesn’t mean he’s innocent, though.
The husband may know that his wife is the perpetrator of the bullying.
It would be a sin to pretend not to know.
There are only a handful of people who don’t have some darkness inside of them. Of course, that includes me.
Maybe Aida to,o.
“Well, I guess it’s okay to hurt him until he’s just one step away from death. Let’s use a bat or something, in keeping with the baseball club.”
<Are you used to it?>
“Huh? This is the first time I’ve ever seen anything like this.”
That’s a lie.
That’s a big lie.
When I was a teenager, I did anything to make money.
And violence is the quickest way for kids to make money.
Hitting and kicking are despicable acts, but if done properly, they can make money.
Now I have washed my feet, but that does not mean I have washed away my sins with them.
This sin is mine. I will carry it for the rest of my life.
He must have gotten there by following a similar route to me…
Anyway, back to the main topic.
Now it’s the story of Kanzaki Miiko.
“I know someone who owns a batting center. I’ll ask him if I can borrow his space.”
<Battle centre?>
“It stands for batting center.”
As he said that, he looked at Kanzaki Miiko’s social media again.
28 years old.
Two years younger than me
So that means that if this ghost were still alive, he would be the same age as me.
Well, it doesn’t matter.
