Time flew by quickly. Without the entanglements with Lu Ming’s side, Shen Tian’s family lived even happier lives than before. Lu Ningwan no longer needed to return to Lu Ming’s place a few times each year just to put on a show, as her custody had long since returned to the Shen family. In the blink of an eye, the two little milk bundles from back then were both about to turn eighteen.

In the classroom of Class 1, Senior Year Three, Lu Ningwan lay pale-faced on her desk, cold sweat trickling down her cheeks. This added a layer of delicate charm to her already alluring aura. Math class was in session right then, and no one really noticed anything unusual about Lu Ningwan.

“Teacher, I feel a bit unwell.” Lu Ningwan finally couldn’t hold out any longer and interrupted the teacher at the front of the room who was giving the lesson.

The math teacher saw it was Lu Ningwan and immediately said, “Are you okay, Lu? I’ll have someone go with you to the infirmary.”

“No need, teacher. I’ll go with her.” Shen Tian had already stood up from the back row, volunteering eagerly, and went over to help Lu Ningwan up.

After starting high school, Shen Tian had grown quite a bit taller than she had been in middle school. She now stood at one meter seventy-two, four centimeters taller than Lu Ningwan. The youthful innocence had long faded from her face, replaced by the look of a grown young woman.

“All right then, Shen. Take good care of Lu. If anything comes up, come back and find me.” The math teacher instructed.

“Okay, teacher.” As soon as Shen Tian’s hand touched Lu Ningwan’s arm, she felt a wave of scorching heat. Anxious, she helped Lu Ningwan out of the classroom.

Lu Ningwan had been perfectly fine when she arrived that morning. It was not until the fourth period math class that she began to feel hot all over. She had a faint suspicion in her heart. Under normal circumstances, her body would not suddenly act like this unless differentiation was starting.

Lu Ningwan’s heart tightened. She could not differentiate in the academic building, or it might cause a commotion. She quickly said to Shen Tian, “Tiantian, we need to hurry to the infirmary. I think I’m about to differentiate.”

Shen Tian immediately grasped the severity of the situation. Back in sophomore year, a classmate in their class had not made it to the infirmary in time and differentiated into an Omega right in the hallway. This had excited all the Alphas in the entire building. Fortunately, most people were Betas, which had prevented a riot among the Alphas at school.

“Okay, Little Sister Lu, don’t be scared. I’m right here with you.” Shen Tian saw that even walking was a struggle for Lu Ningwan, so she simply bent down in front of her. “Little Sister Lu, it’ll be faster if I carry you on my back. Come on, hop on.”

Lu Ningwan felt dizzy at that moment, her mind a bit chaotic. Relying on the last bit of awareness she had, she climbed onto Shen Tian’s back.

Shen Tian hoisted Lu Ningwan up and hurried toward the infirmary by the sports field downstairs. After all, she was a girl too, and by the time she reached the infirmary with Lu Ningwan on her back, Shen Tian looked like she had just come out of a swim in water.

“Teacher, Lu Ningwan might be differentiating.” Shen Tian did not even bother to wipe her sweat as she rushed to explain.

The infirmary teacher jumped in surprise and quickly said, “Hurry and help her into the treatment room.”

Differentiation was something one had to get through on their own. Even at the infirmary, the teacher there had no real solutions to offer, only a treatment room equipped for differentiation.

Shen Tian’s steps faltered as she carried Lu Ningwan toward the treatment room. She truly had no strength left, but fortunately, she managed to set Lu Ningwan down steadily on the bed and helped her lie back comfortably.

“Classmate, you should come out too. Let this classmate differentiate on her own.” The infirmary teacher said to Shen Tian. Differentiation was a very private matter, after all. The teacher could tell Shen Tian was an ordinary person, but she still did not want her to stay in the treatment room.

At that moment, Lu Ningwan was still clutching Shen Tian’s hand tightly, murmuring something unclear from her lips.

Shen Tian looked at Lu Ningwan like this and could not possibly feel at ease leaving her. Anxiously, she said to the teacher, “Teacher, I’m her sister. I haven’t differentiated yet. I’m still just an ordinary person right now, so I won’t affect her. I really can’t bear to leave my Little Sister Lu alone in here. Teacher, please let me stay with her.”

The teacher glanced at Shen Tian’s earnest eyes and then at Lu Ningwan’s grip on Shen Tian’s hand that refused to let go. Reluctantly, she nodded. “All right. Once she’s done differentiating, tell me. I’ll give her some IV fluids to help her recover her strength.”

“Thank you, teacher.” Shen Tian watched as the teacher closed the door to the treatment room, then turned her tense gaze to Lu Ningwan, who lay on the bed with her brows furrowed tightly.

One of Shen Tian’s hands was held by Lu Ningwan, so she used her left hand to reach into her pocket for a tissue. She pulled one out and wiped the sweat from Lu Ningwan’s face.

Lu Ningwan’s entire body burned red. The hand Shen Tian held felt nothing but scorching heat.

Seeing Lu Ningwan in such discomfort made Shen Tian’s eyes redden. While wiping the sweat, she looked at Lu Ningwan with heartache. “Does it hurt, Little Sister Lu? You’re so hot all over. What should we do? How can I help you?”

Lu Ningwan’s mind had already sunk into chaos, as if her body suffered extreme pain. She murmured low from her mouth, something unclear.

Shen Tian leaned down in a hurry, pressing close to listen. From Lu Ningwan’s lips came fragmented repetitions of a few simple words. “Tiantian, Tiantian…”

Hearing Lu Ningwan call her name made Shen Tian even more anxious. She only wished she could take the suffering in Lu Ningwan’s place. She turned her face to press her cheek against Lu Ningwan’s, hoping just to help cool her down a little.

Lu Ningwan’s brows knitted tightly together as she rubbed her cheek lightly against Shen Tian’s in discomfort.

If Shen Tian had looked closely at that moment, she would already have noticed Lu Ningwan’s changes. Lu Ningwan had always been beautiful, her looks more alluring than Shen Tian’s pure ones. But now, something more had layered onto that allure, making her slightly curved brows and eyes even more captivating.

Yet Shen Tian had no attention for any of that. Watching Lu Ningwan suffer tore at her heart. She only hoped Lu Ningwan could finish this differentiation soon.

About an hour passed. Lu Ningwan slowly opened her eyes, her gaze gradually clearing.

Seeing Lu Ningwan awake, Shen Tian quickly asked, “How are you feeling, Little Sister Lu? You scared me half to death just now. You were so hot.”

Lu Ningwan focused on the person before her and sat up to throw herself into Shen Tian’s arms. She had known her Tiantian would stay by her side the whole time. Sure enough, the first person she saw upon waking was Shen Tian.

The only thing Lu Ningwan had not expected was that she had differentiated into an Omega. This differed a bit from what she had imagined. She had thought she might differentiate into an Alpha, after all. Her family’s Tiantian was so cute and sweet. She looked like she would either differentiate into an Omega or remain an ordinary person. But no matter what, as long as it was her Tiantian, that was fine. So what if they matched?

Lu Ningwan would turn eighteen in just a few more months. She had differentiated into an Omega right on the eve of her eighteenth birthday, and with her Tiantian by her side at that. Warmth filled Lu Ningwan’s heart, her eyes and mind full of the girl holding her now. The love she had accumulated in her heart over the years nearly burst out uncontrollably. But she feared it might affect her Tiantian. They had just seven more months until the college entrance exams.

Lu Ningwan frantically suppressed the surging love in her heart that begged to pour out. Slowly, in Shen Tian’s arms, she calmed her emotions. Once the turbulent waves in her heart settled, Lu Ningwan lightly rubbed against Shen Tian’s shoulder and neck in a coquettish way. Lu Ningwan tilted her head to rest on Shen Tian’s shoulder, her warm breath brushing against the pale skin of Shen Tian’s neck, making it itch.

Shen Tian shrank her neck from the itch but did not pull away. Worried that leaning like that might tire Lu Ningwan, she caringly placed her hand behind Lu Ningwan’s head to support it. “Where does it hurt, Little Sister Lu? Let me rub it for you.”

Lu Ningwan let out a light laugh and rubbed the tip of her nose against Shen Tian’s neck. “It hurts everywhere. Here at my waist, my back too, and my arms.”

As Lu Ningwan named each spot, Shen Tian obediently massaged it gently. “Little Sister Lu, does it feel a bit better when I rub like this?”

“Mm, it feels good when you rub it, Tiantian.” Lu Ningwan coquettishly nestled in Shen Tian’s arms.

Just as the two cuddled and embraced, the infirmary teacher knocked on the door a few times. Seeing no response, she pushed the door open and came in. Then she saw Shen Tian and Lu Ningwan locked in an embrace.

These two were really sisters? She found it a little hard to believe. No matter how she looked at it, they resembled a little couple. Had this girl tricked her, perhaps?

Lu Ningwan faced outward and spotted the infirmary teacher entering right away. But she leaned into Shen Tian’s arms as if nothing had happened, clearly with no intention of getting up.

The infirmary teacher could only let out a tactical cough to make her presence known.

Only then did Shen Tian turn back to look at the teacher. “Teacher, my Little Sister Lu is awake now. Is it time for the IV?”

The infirmary teacher glanced at the two still holding each other. So she had come in, and they had not even thought to separate? They had just ignored her completely?

“Yes, it’s time for the IV. But are you two really sisters?” The infirmary teacher still voiced her doubts. No matter how she saw it, they looked like a pair of sweethearts, not bl00d sisters.

Shen Tian nodded solemnly. “Yes! The kind on the same household registry. It could not be more real!”

“All right then.” The teacher did not want to watch the two any longer and instructed, “Stop hugging for now. Aren’t you sisters? You’ll have plenty of time to hug at home. Help your sister lie back first. I’ve mixed the meds. We’re ready for the IV.”

“Okay, teacher.” After speaking with the teacher, Shen Tian coaxed Lu Ningwan in her arms. “Little Sister Lu, let’s do the IV first.”

Only then did Lu Ningwan reluctantly sit up.

Worried Lu Ningwan might feel uncomfortable, Shen Tian stacked the blanket and pillow on the bed to prop her up higher. “Little Sister Lu, you’ll feel more comfortable leaning like this.”

Lu Ningwan looked at the stack of blankets and pillows, then at Shen Tian. “I want to lean on you, Tiantian. You’re more comfortable than a blanket.”

Hearing that her Little Sister Lu wanted to lean on her, Shen Tian immediately leaned back there without a second thought and beckoned to Lu Ningwan. “No problem. Little Sister Lu, you can have me do anything. Lean however you like.”

Lu Ningwan looked at her family’s Shen Tian, who smiled so sweetly, and her own lips curved upward unconsciously. Her Tiantian was so obedient. If things kept going like this, Lu Ningwan did not know if she could hold out for the next six months.

“Okay.” Lu Ningwan agreed with Shen Tian and shifted into her arms to lean comfortably.

The teacher who came in to start Lu Ningwan’s IV glanced at the two in confusion but said nothing more. After all, they were sisters listed on the same household registry. There was no need for her to say anything else. Once the IV finished, she could just send them on their way. Watching them made her teeth ache.
